Excellent Camp!
I have stayed at this camp several times, always on the occasion of meeting many friends, and have always been very satisfied. The staff are very friendly, positive and always try to help in every way. The social facilities are always spotlessly clean and everything is continuously cleaned!
I can't imagine... better accommodation and food in the region, for the price! I come here every year, always at the beginning of the summer.
The receptionist is always a pleasure to deal with during the booking process as well as during the stay!
I wish all camps in the country were at this level.

Nice clean campsite, we love coming back here. Too bad the pond isn't cleaned, it would be a nice swimming spot.

Himmmelfahrt 2029
Friendly reception which was conducted in German, also the information about free places by e-mail was carried out well and quickly. Place is already on the lake America and goes easily up, free place well on the divided meadow pieces. The sanitary facilities were cleaned more often during the day due... to the well-filled pitch. The condition is ok for us and you can pay in euros at the restaurant and campsite. The restaurant opens at eleven and is very inexpensive by German standards and the road to Franzenbad passes the zoo. The road is paved for those who do not want to hike can take a nice transfer from the zoo to the city

Beautiful camping site
We stayed at the campsite in October 2018 and liked it very much. Franzensbad is easy to reach on foot or by bike. The parks are very beautiful, with several mineral fountains from which the healthy healing water gushes. The view of the lake from the caravan is wonderful. The central location of the campsite makes it easy to make beautiful excursions into the surrounding area with its interesting castles. We will be back!

Advantages
great unique location, recreation factor, restaurant w. friendly staff, micro train in town, dogs possible
Negatives
no regulation for pitches (criss-cross), no reservation, no more bread service, no control of the leash obligation
Regular guest commentary
Little cleanliness in the too small sanitary facilities, a shower forever "mimoprovoz", too few rusting (overflowing) trash cans in the washrooms, kitchen only "equipped" with plates and a few pans, hardly any cleaning staff visible except the boss, the garbage stinks in the kitchen! We love Franzensbad and like to come every year, but more could be made of the almost new place.don't let it go to waste!!!!

Pentecost 2018 in "America"
They don't like reservations here. We had made a reservation, but our request to move up a day somehow got lost. Nevertheless, we got a place. The young operators try to keep the place alive, but by breakfast time some of the waste paper bins are full again. It also happens that the sanitary facilities run out of paper... Nevertheless, a cute little pitch with electricity, shower and WLAN included...

Wellness or spa breaks
A campsite, which is located about 1 km from Frantiskovy Lazne. Around this area there are lots of wellness / spa hotels. There are many parks around the village center. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes.

Pleasant for a short stay
Were on the square to look at Franzsbad. Had been looking forward to a cozy evening in one of the available restaurants on the lake. Unfortunately all except the snack bar were closed (end of July). Disposal of the chemical toilet unacceptable, disposal of gray water at a gully in the parking lot ... unfortunately more runs into the pond than into the gully.

Advantages
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Negatives
Some of the pitches have slopes. Many dogs from campers
only recommended
Quiet campsite close to the center, but outside the town. A 10-minute walk to the center. Very clean facilities, especially the sanitary facilities. Use of kitchen and recreation room recommended for families with children. Attached restaurant offers everything a restaurant can offer. The friendliness of the staff is exemplary. The prices are very low compared to German prices. I can only recommend it

Advantages
Franzensbad is within walking distance. Beautifully situated in the countryside. Good restaurant right next to the reception.
Negatives
Many pitches with a very steep slope, so it can be difficult to set up a caravan properly.
Excellent location for visiting Franzensbad and Cheb
Spring 2015 On the occasion of a trip to the Czech Republic, we stayed at this campsite for 5 days to visit Franzensbad and Cheb/Eger and the surrounding area. Opening hours: Low season 1.4. to 28.6. and 31.8. to 31.10, high season 29.6 to 30.8. The campsite is located directly on a small lake and is... not too far from Franzensbad, which can be reached on foot in about 20 to 30 minutes. In the immediate vicinity is the so-called Lesopark with a mini zoo where you can admire some of the animals. See also: http://www.camping-amerika.cz/index.php/lesopark-amerika Cheb is also nearby and can also be reached by car in approx. 15 minutes. All the necessary shopping can be done there. There is also a very tidy and reasonably priced restaurant with original Bohemian cuisine right next to the reception where you can dine well. There are other restaurants by the lake and in the small villages nearby. The campsite is very reasonably priced. See also: http://www.camping-amerika.cz/index.php/cenik The prices are quoted in Czech crowns, which corresponds to €13.20 per night for 2 people, caravan, car and tourist tax at an exchange rate of €1 to 25 crowns in the low season. For longer stays, there is a significant discount on this, so that we only had to pay 1425.00 crowns (equivalent to €57.00) for 5 nights. In addition, we only had to pay €7.92 for electricity (billed at 6 crowns per KW/H). The pitch on a meadow on a slope is newly laid out but only partially with flat pitches (especially for motorhomes). Most of the pitches are on a slope and have not been leveled. There is a completely new sanitary building with shower cubicles, washbasins and toilets, as well as a kitchen with stoves and dishwashers; hot water is available everywhere. There are also a number of huts and bungalows of various sizes. There is a lido on the lake about 200 to 300 m away, which can be used free of charge by camping guests. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional. There is nothing to complain about here. The staff at reception, the cleaning staff and the restaurant operators are very approachable, friendly and helpful. We felt at home there and can recommend the campsite without reservation.

Advantages
Excellent accessibility to Franzensbad, the surrounding area and the lake
Negatives
The sanitary facilities as well as the water supply and disposal
Too bad, there's much more to it
The sticking points are some pitches and their sloping position as well as the sanitary facilities, which were not at all as they were at Whitsun 2015! Half-heartedly cleaned in the morning, the toilet paper was already empty in the evening and the water, wherever it came from, was spread out in the... anteroom! Unfortunately, the power connections are not international standard, CEE plugs would be a better choice! The water supply is limited to one tap and the sanitary building, I did not find a gray water disposal! The connection to Franzensbad is great, easy to reach on foot or by bike!

Advantages
Friendliness, cleanliness, very beautiful landscape with lake.
Negatives
The water in the shower was cold at the time, but not a major problem.
Very nice campsite
We paid a short visit to this campsite in mid-April. I enquired in advance whether we could arrive on Friday evening. The contact on the phone was very cordial. I asked if we could still get something to eat in the restaurant at this time, but we were told that the restaurant would close at 6pm. When... we arrived at 7 pm, we were asked to report to the kitchen first, because three(!) employees were still waiting for us there! What a service! The food was wonderful and the Czech beer tastes even better in the Czech Republic! The site itself is extremely clean and the staff are particularly friendly, which made our stay very pleasant. We will definitely come back again, also to use the lake for swimming and paddling in the warmer months.

Advantages
Quiet and beautifully situated
Negatives
Unheated sanitary building
Small and beautifully situated.
We stayed at this small campsite near Franzensbad in April 2015 and were satisfied except for the fact that the sanitary building was not heated even at outside temperatures of -5 degrees. The pitches are not divided, you can place yourself as you like, if space is available. Bread rolls were only available if ordered in advance. There are very good shopping facilities in nearby Cheb and also in Franzensbad.

We are regular guests at this campsite with our motorhome. We always get a friendly welcome here and there is always an open ear for any problems. The site is clean and tidy. You can chill out and relax. A trip to nearby Franzensbad is always worthwhile.
