There are always pros and cons - that's just life
Super weekend experience

Advantages
Very friendly; price ok; pleasant atmosphere; modern and clean sanitary facilities;
Negatives
Closing times of the access road 12-15 o'clock!!! Water pressure in the shower sometimes barely available. Dishwashing area connected to the ladies' sanitary area?!?!! :-)
Perfect for the Hockenheimring
Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. We felt at home. Ideal for a trip to the Hockenheimring! (Take your bikes with you - then you can easily get to the big event)

What unfortunately does not work at all: Closing times of the access road e.g. 12-15 o'clock!!!! So you can't leave the site by car for... no less than 3 hours in broad daylight!

The shower time is very short and the water pressure is rather modest (when fully occupied, it sometimes only dripped from the tap)

But the sanitary building is newly built, beautiful and well kept clean.

Small faux pas in the planning: dishwashing only for the ladies... :-) ;-)

All in all, I would come back any time for a short trip.

The food in the restaurant is not haute cuisine but for that money it is tasty.
Negatives
Too expensive The owner very unsympathetic Too many rules Showers close way too early Plumbing very old and not clean
Terrible camping
We have been coming there for years but 2022 was really the last time. Since 2022 there is another owner in it. I don't think the campground will last long under this regime. At 8 p.m. a very thick chain lock went on the door and it didn't come off until the next morning. It did not feel safe to me.... The dishes in the restaurant the food is delicious and the service very friendly.
The campground is close to the highway that is also an advantage but on the other hand the campground has become very expensive. Especially since everything is outdated and not clean.

Good location
Negatives
It seems that this campsite is lost since new ownership started. To high price (almost EUR 40) for what you get as a pass through traveller for one night: A place where you almost step in the neighbourgs caravan when you open you door, arriving after 20.00 means extra charge (EUR 10), no showering possible after 21.00, no WIFI etc. So, stayed here for the last time and left early to never coma back again. P.S. The restaurant is reasonable for a camping site, but more something in between a restaurant and a snack bar. After a long day of travelling convenient enough.

No consideration for illness
Not nice and not in order
We booked a pitch at this campsite for four nights at the end of May. We transferred the entire invoice amount of €160 in advance for the reservation. The campsite's regulations stipulate a four-week notice period after payment, after which no refund is possible. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our stay... at short notice due to my wife's illness. Although we could have provided proof of my wife's illness in the form of a medical certificate, we were denied any refund or credit for a later stay. My request for a credit note for half of the overnight stay was also brusquely and very unkindly rejected. The campsite has recently been under new management. The new manager obviously has little understanding for her guests and stubbornly sticks to her rules without any understanding for our plight. Hospitality is obviously a foreign word for this lady, we will not be visiting the campsite again.

Very unfriendly
Never again
We spent the end of May on this place (reserved 4 nights and had to make complete prepayment) We arrived at 11:30 because we only had a short drive, were very unfriendly received by the new boss because we were too early! Nevertheless, we were not allowed to move into our pitch because arrival is generally... only possible from 3pm. Although the entire campsite was largely empty, we had to wait 3.5 hours in front of the barrier.
But that was not enough! In the evening we had to realize that already at 9 p.m. washing-shower and rinsing rooms are closed and therefore no longer accessible, only the toilet rooms are then still accessible. So if you want to devote yourself to personal hygiene after 9pm, you have to do this with cold water at the hand basin in the toilets. As already noted, the campsite was as good as empty, yet we were assigned a pitch on our arrival, we had to change the pitch again on Monday for another way of woodworking although the pitch was still empty.
Another more than strange regulation is the fact that the gate is closed at 6pm in the evening. Arrivals can still drive onto the pitch until 8pm if they call a posted telephone number. It is hard to believe that this service costs 10 euros. We have experienced how Dutch guests, who have regularly used the site as an overnight stay in the past, stood in front of a closed gate before 8 p.m. and nobody could be reached via the telephone number provided. Ultimately, these campers only had to find another
campsite for the night.
The new owner must be described as very unfriendly in her small-minded, stubbornly rule-bound actions. She is unable to show any empathy or understanding for the needs and concerns of her guests, let alone make an effort for the well-being of her guests. We will never visit this campsite again, which offers nothing for the money.

Advantages
Nothing, that the next morning we were finally gone
Negatives
reception, payment method, strange closing times, rancid campground, many expired annual sites
The worst camping in 50 years
We have been camping for over 50 years, are used to a lot, but this beats everything. Poor reception at the reception by an old lady did not bode well. Talked only a kind of dialect in which I could detect that her son was approaching. After 10 minutes the unfriendly person arrived in a golf cart. While... this campsite is known as an ACSI campsite we had to pay €37, naja say. Pay with debit card o.i.d? Nein sir, pay in cash. On rare occasions we were allowed to enter the campground and sir confiscated our ASCI identification. Bike off and 4 km vv to the ATM. Nice start to the vacation but different. The campground makes a dilapidated impression with many abandoned sites of permanent residents. The showers are closed from 11:30-14:00 and after 21:00! After 21:00 the gate is locked! WiFi not available and also no restaurant. This campground they should close and with a bulldozer with the ground.

Advantages

Getting on in years
Short trip ok.
The reception was friendly and the pitches were allocated personally. Quite a short distance from the highway, so new guests arrive every day. The sanitary facilities could do with a refresh. A large cable drum is an advantage for the power supply. It is unusual that the showers are closed after 9pm. The nearby road is sometimes annoying. Staying an extra night was no problem. Nearby towns worth seeing such as Schwetzingen and Heidelberg.

Advantages
Friendliness of the owner family Peace and quiet Everything you need for camping Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities Good starting point for racing events on the Hockenheim Ring, city trips - Speyer, Heidelberg, Schwetzingen, Karlsruhe etc. or Palatinate Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Landau, Hambach Castle and much more
Negatives
Narrow access to the parking area - should be a little wider too few water tapping points/sink for gray water
Good CP for e.g. bike tours/hikes or transit camping
A good site that mainly benefits from transit campers. It's a pity that the Kolb family is quitting and taking over to a Berlin operator (far from the shot).

The site has a simple design but has everything you need for camping. The restaurant used to be good - not any more.

The BAB can be heard - but... not significantly.

The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but were always clean. This is of course also due to the campers, who are used to using the toilet brush, for example.

We will be back

Very good location for sightseeing in Heidelberg, Speyer etc. The Hockenheim Ring is also not far away
Transit area not far from the highway
We spent 2 nights on this site, which is actually a transit site with only 4-5 normal vacation pitches. You are personally accompanied by the manager to your pitch on the large meadow. You can also spend the night here. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but clean and the owners are a very nice couple. The restaurant on site is also recommended.

Advantages
Location to the Hockenheimring; quite clean; comparatively below-average price
Negatives
Fixed closing times; 70s charm; rather below-average range of services, which puts the price into perspective
Okay for a weekend
Stayed here in June 2019 to get to the Hockenheimring from here. Location quite good for this (6.5 km by bike along the main road). Unfortunately, the same road is also to blame for the fact that it is quite noisy on the site during the day, especially in the area of the transit campers. At night, however,... the volume is okay. Overall, the site exudes the charm of bygone camping days. The fixed closing times of the pitch, the showers and the lack of toilet paper in the toilets (only one huge roll for all cabins) - a reminiscence of these faded times. On the other hand, the service, including the groundsman who shows you to your "pitch", was really good. As was the reception. The price - to be fair - is probably still rather old-fashioned. However, considering what is on offer, it is not a real bargain. From the campsite, you can also get to a spa quite quickly, but we didn't try it out.

Outdated sanitary facilities
Very friendly but getting on in years.
Campsite for transit well located, sanitary facilities have the charm of the early 70s, superficially clean but OK, only 24 € the night for car, caravan, electricity and 2 adults I find clearly too expensive for the end of September. The opening hours soon worse than in the youth hostel, from 7-12 and 15-21 o'clock

Advantages
Convenient location to A5 and A6, friendly pub, tasty, cheap, known in the region for rump steaks, showers included in the price
Negatives
Cash payment only, leaving the campsite at night and before 7 a.m. not possible, very limited shower times
Only used as a stopover
The best thing first: the camping pub with super tasty food at great prices. The sanitary facilities were perfect, but we found the campsite rules with their many time restrictions unfavorable. You can only shower until 9pm and from 7am, the showers are also closed at lunchtime, but that didn't affect us. You can't leave the site by car at night or before 7 a.m., so you can't flexibly leave earlier. You can only pay in cash!!!!!

Drive-through campsite
Like us, most campers only used the campsite for one night while passing through. There is a swimming pool with an outdoor pool nearby and a restaurant right on the site. The site is not bad, the sanitary facilities are very good, but it's just not really homely.

good but
arrived here on a monday at 12.30 hrs only to find gates closed and no sign of anyone, our fault for not checking, when we did get in at 1500hrs found that the gastatte was also closed on mondays, our fault again but it is a shame as the food as we found out is really good. The only thing we can pick... up is the toilet paper, only one big dispenser on the wall which you have to get paper before entering cubicle. good place for visiting hiedelberg with bus stop at entrance
