Advantages
The location and surroundings of the campsite are very nice. The reception was well organized during the construction phase. In good weather a cozy opportunity for snacks and drinks
Negatives
The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The area around the old sanitary building is very unkempt and disgusting. The showers and pools are cleaned properly but there is cobwebs and disgusting creatures in every corner. Even in the very nice new building, only the basins in the toilets are cleaned. The silver containers for soap and tissues as well as the edges and shelves are dirty. I expect more for the total price
Still room for improvement
The pitches are nice, but some places look unkempt. As the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities leaves a lot to be desired, I only give it 2 out of 5 points. Other pitches in this price range have more to offer

Dogs are not allowed near the lake Dog costs 5,-€ on the CP
Attention info for dog owners
I actually wanted to book a camping pitch at this campsite.
BUT: when I spoke to the campsite on the phone, I found out that dogs are not allowed in the lake.
Dogs are also not allowed to run around the lake on the paths.
This means that the whole area around the lake is off-limits for dog owners with... their dogs.
You are also not allowed to sit on the meadow by the lake with your dog.
According to the campsite staff, this rule is from the town.
I am speechless.
Oh yes, the dog costs €5 at the campsite.
A real shame.

That's why we didn't even arrive (date of stay is fictitious).

Nice quiet place - great area
We had a wonderful time. The area is wonderful.
The place is currently being renovated in every nook and cranny. But that didn't bother us.
You can tell that a lot is being done here to make guests happy.

Exemplary managed campsite
We only spent one night in the complex, but immediately felt like old friends. The location and layout of the site left nothing to be
wishes unfulfilled. The direct access to the lake is very valuable. The fact that the site is currently being made fit for the future is highly commendable. We were not... disturbed by the construction work, as it was carried out very considerately. We can look forward to the sanitary building that is currently under construction. When it is finished, it will overshadow everything we know.

Advantages
Location Staff friendly and aloof (for those who like it) Some renovations made by current operator, concerns Tiny-Houses, huts, ect, less the comfort of the campers, but pretty.
Negatives
Price: 41 EUR for 1 Womo pitch HS WE, 5x10m, 2 adults, 1 dog plus electricity. Pitch: unkempt gravel pitch, garbage, birch sprouts and weeds, lack of signage/numbering of pitches, narrow pitches Sanitary facilities: dated from the 80s, cleanliness depends on the time of day - should be cleaned more often during the day, but it's okay. Fresh water: not available at the pitches themselves (occasionally on the pitches), for Womos directly above the sink for the waste tank. Hose was flying around on the ground. Would definitely NOT take fresh water here. Waste concept: several overfilled containers with yellow lids and non-separated waste
Pitch Camping Wellnester: Location top - price-performance flop!
Bottom line: A completely overpriced 41 EUR for one night on an unkempt gravel pitch without proper supply and disposal and without luxuries such as fresh water.
The pitch is also really narrow - not separated from the next pitch by any greenery or the like. So, when fully occupied, it is hardly possible... for the Womo people to sit outside comfortably, barbecue, chat, awning out is not feasible (but also not necessary given the proximity to the next one).
There are no restaurants on site, but there is a brewery and the restaurant of the Seehotel within walking distance in the direction of Losheim.
The place definitely has potential, but a possible service in the future due to probable renovations definitely does not justify this price at the moment and I have not yet experienced it in this form.
If the whole thing is laid out differently, the pitches a bit wider, maybe a green strip between the Womos and if the rest fits - we would pay it. The few people who were on the site at the time (everything else was fully booked...) would certainly not come back for the reasons mentioned above.
At the moment we really don't recommend it as a pitch for a camper van, if you want a pitch (costs a bit more, but spacious, grassy ground, surrounded by bushes, I like it so much), the new tiny houses are supposed to be really nice and the little "Swedish village" is just cute.

Super great location, the lake is within walking distance in 4-5 minutes. The team is very flexible and accommodating
Negatives
That the stay there always comes to an end
Again and again!
We are absolutely thrilled with this campsite, it offers everything you need to relax. Each camper has their own pitch, beautifully surrounded by hedges and small trees 🌳. The sanitary facilities are always clean. Super nice team 👍👍👍👍

We were very enthusiastic despite the Pingst weekend and full pitches.

Advantages
Beautiful place, Great staff, As currently under reconstruction, see a lot of potential for a mega campsite
Negatives
Sanitary cleanliness was unfortunately too short, but new sanitary building is currently being built. Check out a bit complicated when many people leave at once.
Super space with potential
In itself a super great campsite with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, breakfast could not be pre-ordered, which led to a smaller selection. Sanitary cleanliness was unfortunately not a hit for us. But the cleaning ladies still did their best to keep up with the masses. Playground is like new, but... unfortunately only two swings, a seesaw, sandpit and a slide. Always busy with lots of children.

Direct access to the cycle path around the lake accessible with a map.

1 week in Losheim
We will definitely be back, so much for the start of the review. The site is large and we were allowed to take the van onto the tent meadow, which had just been electrified. We initially had the meadow to ourselves, which is certainly not usual. Only the old sanitary facilities were available, which... were clean. The new shower temple is currently under construction, but unfortunately it won't be ready for a few weeks. The site is a good starting point for hikes and is close to various sights that can be reached by car. All in all: a good place!

Top location directly on the lake, Friendly staff, Reliable bread roll service
Negatives
Construction progress hangs due to lack of deliveries
Great location
We were there with a large, mixed group and were very satisfied.

It wasn't the first time and it won't be the last. We'd love to meet up there again in the summer.

In many places you can see positively what has changed since last year. Keep up the good work.

Advantages
The new tenants are super nice, friendly and happy to help. We had our annual campers' meeting (Glühweintreffen). We've been coming there for years, but since the new tenants arrived, things have changed. I'm already looking forward to the next time in June.
Negatives
That the building materials for the new wash house are not available. But it will be a great wash house.
Once again great leisure time.
Stood on the motorhome pitch for our campervan meeting.
We are repeat offenders.
Why?
Because with the new tenants it is simply suuuuper.
A new wash house is under construction about 10 times the size of the old one. 👍
A lot is happening on the site. 👍
I'm already looking forward to June, when we'll be back.

Advantages
Lake location, size of the plots
Negatives
Hygiene and waste concept, very unclean sanitary facilities, demonstrably no cleaning of the washrooms and shower rooms for several days.
Campsite Losheim am See
Based on the internet presence and the location, we booked in for 10 days. Unfortunately! The sanitary blocks and the waste concept do not meet the stated standard of Wellnester. Unfortunately, we found that despite low occupancy rates, the hygiene in the wash houses was very poor. The noise level was... good, the size of the pitches was very large, and the general state of maintenance of the site was rather adequate. I wish the team every success and hope that the standard of hygiene will be improved considerably. Unfortunately, we won't be returning due to the considerable shortcomings. I would have expected much more for the price. Too bad, so we will only be able to give 2 out of 10 points for the location and the offer. Plus points: The friendly team, the bread roll service and the location by the lake.

Dear Dirk H., First of all, I would like to apologize if the sanitary buildings were not to your satisfaction. Together with the municipality of Losheim, we are in the process of building all the sanitary buildings on the site from scratch by 2024 so that they meet the highest modern standards. This... winter, the first large, new sanitary building will be built for a seven-figure sum. (Current pictures on our website!) It will be ready for the 2024 season and will bring us a big leap forward. If the level of cleanliness was not in order: I can assure you that all the sanitary blocks were visited several times a day by our cleaning staff during the main season. Unfortunately, we noticed that there were differences in the quality of service. We are therefore reorganizing our team for the 2024 season. What good is a fabulous new sani house if it is not well maintained? We would be interested to know what you disliked about the waste concept. We completely separate glass/paper/yellow bins/residual waste/green waste. And finally, the state of maintenance you mentioned. Could it have been because we simply stopped sprinkling our green spaces with thousands of liters of water at some point during the drought summer of 2022 for reasons of common sense and sustainability? That's right - the areas were very dry afterwards. Fortunately, they recovered very well from September onwards and the grass is now sprouting again.

Advantages
Very nice staff, all and sundry, including security and construction workers.
Negatives
There should be more sculleries.
Relaxed days at the lake
Large pitches with varying degrees of shade. Smaller ones for camper vans on request. With the lake at your feet and the nearby forest, great leisure opportunities. Tent area particularly interesting for families. 3 restaurants plus a bistro/coffee shop nearby.
A lot is being renovated or extended on the site.
Very(!) clean.

Dear Frank H., thank you very much for the good review. Since we took over the campsite in 2021, we have been working hard with our team to continuously modernize and improve it and to offer our guests a great vacation experience in nature. There's always something that gets stuck or things take longer... than originally planned. This is where such good feedback is the best motivation. We look forward to seeing you again to see how we are progressing!

I really liked the campsite. The sanitary facilities were clean and a cleaning lady came in the morning and evening. The location of the campsite is very pleasant and the staff very friendly. The water of the lake was very pleasant and there was also a restaurant nearby where you can go pedal boating, stand up paddling and eat.
