"Great place—we really liked it. - The campsites are very spacious, with plenty of trees, which was a plus in the heat. Everything was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They should get rid of the bread roll app and just put out a list instead. We already have enough apps on our phones. The campground is ideally located for bike rides in all directions and for exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

"Highly Recommended - We received a really warm welcome, and we’d had a brief but pleasant phone call beforehand, since we weren’t able to arrive until a day later for other reasons. The RV park is truly great and, in my opinion, is just as good as the actual campground. There’s plenty to offer for all ages. Everyone can find something to enjoy “in their own little corner.” We’d like to say thank you and will definitely stop by again.

"Short Vacation - Beautiful location right on the lake. It is constantly being modernized. There are plenty of recreational activities. An ideal starting point for day trips.

"Great campground - We’d been searching online for a spot where there were no dogs. We were tired of constantly hearing barking and hearing people say, “...he won’t bite.” We really felt “right at home” with you guys. Peace and quiet, cleanliness, and always friendly fellow campers—we hadn’t experienced that in quite some time.

"A place to unwind and come back to - We were greeted very warmly at the front desk. After getting all the necessary information, we drove to the campground. Luckily, we could choose our own spot, so we set up right next to what appeared to be the only electrical outlet. (We were told there were several others, but we didn’t find any—except for a shelter with lockers for charging cell phones.) I’ll get back to that later. The field was clean, and there were several trash cans there. Unfortunately, these are constantly being filled with campers’ household trash, even though there are recycling stations on the grounds. In a small shelter, there was a covered outdoor sink. I would have liked it to be swept and cleared of spider webs every now and then. Also, it squeaks loudly when water is running—even at night. We found the power outlet two days later BEHIND AN electrical box. Please mark it clearly!!! But depending on your spot, you’ll need over 50 meters of cable and a SCHUKO plug!!! instead of a CCE plug. It was very quiet at night. Great! The nearest washhouse (No. 1) was a nightmare. Old, moldy showers that splashed water everywhere. If 6 minutes of water isn’t enough, you have to throw more money into the slot OUTSIDE the stall—while you’re still undressed—in the middle of your shower. Apparently, it’s supposed to be renovated. It’s better to go to the newer buildings and pay the higher shower fee—it’s worth it. The playground and swimming area, on the other hand, were a dream. Clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The adjacent indoor playground “Kinderkram” is a great place to hang out when the weather’s bad. But you can also sit there without paying admission just to grab a snack or chat. Kids’ activities: there were some good options for my younger child, but not much for the 11- and 14-year-olds. The great staff could definitely come up with some cool ideas there. Too bad that for five days, three times a day, the shuttle never stopped at the tent field to pick up the kids—it always drove right past 😞 Other great features: a 24-hour vending machine for snacks and drinks (hopefully soon including other camping essentials as well) Bread roll service, 24-hour coffee machine, fishing, We’ll be back!!!!! Wi-Fi -0/10

Our leisure park offers holiday guests the peace and quiet they are looking for. If you want to "switch off" for once, you are in the right place here. Whether with tent, caravan or motorhome - our leisure park is just made for a holiday in your own "four walls". You can also experience a great holiday in our "glamping" rental accommodation. Whether it's a camping sleeping barrel, a family wood lodge with a lake view or a luxuriously equipped safari tent lodge. Just drive off, stop, take a deep breath and then be at home. In our restaurant "Gasthuus Ulenhoff" you can enjoy regional dishes and East Frisian tea. Camping in Westoverledingen - that's a holiday right at the heart of nature! There is something for everyone here. Westoverledingen has many pleasant faces: green pastures, marsh, geest and river landscapes. The bathing lake also offers many fishing opportunities. For active holidaymakers, our surroundings offer all kinds of special features. Let us surprise you. We place great emphasis on sports and leisure activities. Children enjoy the large playground with its giant slide or "mudding" on the sandy beach. In the holiday periods we offer extensive children's entertainment. In the village and in the surrounding area, our holiday guests will find many opportunities to spend an active holiday. You can enjoy games, fun and exercise while cycling, surfing, riding, skating, fishing or boßeln (a popular sport of the East Frisians). Just give it a try. Info motorhomes: Our new motorhome port in front of the barrier, has been opened in July 2021 and can be used all year round.
