Advantages
Right in the heart of the Altes Land. Great for biking. Electricity and water available right on the site.
Negatives
Sometimes crowded and cramped. Wi-Fi is very poor, fluctuating between 0.5 and 7 Mbit/sec; the front desk staff are polite but very taciturn.
A Week in the "Altes Land"
It's great for biking, but not so much for a relaxing vacation. The Wi-Fi was a bit of a nuisance. But it was free, at least.

Advantages
fresh rolls from the bakery, I'm happy to pay 5 cents more Evening meal possible - e.g. currywurst with tasty sauce then a beer and a chat with fellow campers
Negatives
No individual washing cubicles, it didn't bother me
Vacation 2025
Nice quiet campsite on an old farm with an integrated small orchard, everything kept rustic - no fancy place - plain and simple - just to my taste. I don't need expensive glamping.
Centrally located - about 2 km to the shops
Great cycle paths through orchards
Buxtehude -Stade - Hamburg all within easy reach, even by bike.
Neßhof - we will be back . Lg

Advantages
Close to the Elbe embankment. Good pitches with firm ground. Apples and other produce directly from the farm.
Negatives
The electricity connection is charged, plus the price per kW/h. Departure is only possible after billing, there was a minimum charge of 0.75 cents per kW/h for the electricity used.
Passing through
After a few bends and two U-turns, we found the place, but this was not due to the name but to our built-in navigation device. The people in this hamlet were very kind in showing us the right way. You reach the site through an archway (maximum height 3.3 meters, well marked). The courtyard with the campsite behind it is reached via bumpy cobblestones. The night was very quiet, the sanitary facilities close by and clean.

Advantages
Central location approx. 4 kilometers from the Elbe.
Negatives
Already getting on in years. Paths could have small potholes. Plots uneven in places with stone slabs under the grass.
Good place
Friendly reception. Very nice location on the Lühe. Central location as there are many sights nearby. The Elbe, Stade, Buxtehude and Hamburg are within easy reach. The ferry dock of the Lühe-Schulau ferry is about 4 kilometers away. There you can watch the shipping traffic on the Elbe very nicely (large... container ships and cruise ships e.g. the AIDA fleet)
Unfortunately I couldn't pitch an awning on the allocated pitch as there were stone slabs under the lawn. Next time we will take a different pitch. Otherwise a nice campsite with delicious food.
Sanitary facilities small but very clean at all times. Despite a few shortcomings, we would love to come back to this campsite.

Advantages
Central location in the Altes Land. Ideal for bicycle tours.
Negatives
Some permanent campers are really run-down and spoil the picture.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the right place
We deliberately chose this place to cycle through the Alte Land.
Good cycle paths inland and along the Elbe dyke, through orchards, past old houses and farms.
Thanks to the location of the site, you can explore the whole district without having to cycle too far.
Stade, Buxtehude, Horneburg, Jork and... even Hamburg-Finkenwerder are within easy reach.
Excursions to HH City are also possible via ferry connections.
Tip:
On the other side of the Lühe, in Mittelkirchen, knock on the door of the "Op'n Diek" inn.

Advantages
Inexpensive meals in the rustic camping restaurant. North German cool, but friendly operators. Great area, Hamburg can be reached quickly. Bread rolls from the local bakery.
Negatives
The sanitary facilities are a disaster. Two toilets and two showers per gender are clearly too few for the number of people on the pitch.
Very simple
There is an urgent need for investment, everything looks outdated.

Short vacation
Nice reception in the courtyard area of a rural estate, which at first glance seems a little untidy. We were given a great pitch on what appeared to be an old orchard. There is a bread roll service. It should be noted that the sanitary facilities were all very clean, but unheated.

Advantages
Wonderful location. Wonderful surroundings. Functioning WLAN. Gastronomy on site. Worthwhile excursion destinations. Good value for money.
Negatives
Searched and found nothing
Great place in a beautiful landscape
We only spent one day and two nights at the campsite due to a sudden illness, but we were completely thrilled. We absolutely cannot confirm the sometimes poor reviews. The pitches were freshly mown, everything looked clean and tidy. The sanitary facilities are rarely as good in terms of size and cleanliness... as here. The location in an orchard is unique. There are wonderful walks on the dyke along old thatched houses right next to the site. Shopping facilities at Edeka within walking distance. There is a cozy beer bar on the square. In the evenings, barbecued food and other delicacies are offered to go with the tasty Störtebeker beer. Bread rolls are available to order in the morning. We have already planned our next vacation here in September 2019. Then we will catch up on our canceled excursion program. There are more than enough excursion destinations here.

Overnight stay
We stayed here for one night. The reception was friendly. We had dry weather, so we can't confirm a muddy pitch. Everything is kept a little simpler, but ok.

Advantages
Central location of the campsite - in the middle of the "Altes Land" and bread roll service.
Negatives
The sanitary facilities are at the front of the site entrance, but even if you are in the last but even if you are in the last row of pitches, you can reach it on foot.
Very nice place to explore the area. Always very clean sanitary facilities!
Very beautifully situated site, in the middle of the Altes Land. You can explore the whole area by bike or car. The tourist office in Jork offers daily activities for vacationers. The fruit farms also offer information events including guided tours and tastings. There is also the Elbe, where there is... always something to see. In Grünendeich, at the ferry terminal, there is even a list of cruise ship sailing times. Public transportation is also easy to reach for excursions further afield (Hamburg, Stade, Buxtehude). You can also marvel at the beautiful architecture. Bread roll service on site and also a small bar as well as pizza or other snacks.

Unkempt, no playground for children
Unkempt place in a beautiful landscape
The place was very spongy our caravan could only be brought to the pitch with the tractor, is apparently always so, is due to the geographical location of the place, do not forget rubber boots. In addition, the place looks very unkempt everywhere garbage, uncleaned neglected permanent camper plots. sqnitäranlagen acceptable. Great location on a fruit farm, has mega potential if it were maintained.

Advantages
Central location in the Altes Land. Relatively reasonable price.
Negatives
Very muddy paths. Water connection far away. Many untidy areas with garbage and junk.
Central in the Altes Land near Stade
Small campsite belonging to a farm/fruit farm. At first glance, the campsite doesn't look very inviting, the access road via the farm is untidy and full of garbage and junk. The registration desk is located in a small farm store, the welcome from the operator is not exactly effusive, you don't really... know whether you are welcome or a nuisance. But she helps you choose a pitch and someone quickly comes to connect the electricity. Due to the weather, the pitch is very soggy and the paths are very muddy. As it is winter, the new sanitary buildings are closed, the old ones are not so smart, but always clean and well heated, there are soap dispensers and paper towels, which is not standard on every site. The pitches are, at least at this time of year, freely selectable, sufficiently large and equipped with electricity. Unfortunately, despite sufficiently high plus temperatures, there was only water at the sanitary building, as all other connections were turned off due to winter. More flexibility would be nice, even if it means a little more work for the operator, but would make it much easier for the campers, as the path was long and very muddy. The campsite is open all year round, but in our opinion it is not suitable for winter camping due to the nature of the ground and the conditions. We were here on New Year's Eve with our two dogs because we wanted to escape the fireworks and the campsite website advertises that it will be a quiet New Year's Eve for four-legged friends because fireworks are not allowed in large parts of the Altes Land. Unfortunately, no one seems to abide by the law and so it was as loud and restless as everywhere else. This is not the fault of the campsite operators, but they should stop advertising this on their website.

Answered from Camping Nesshof January 2, 2018
We are currently using the winter months to rebuild a few things and clear up some old issues. Unfortunately, the rainy weather of the last six months is a real challenge, so that some things are not possible at the moment as we would like them to be. Two weeks of dry and/or frost would be a great help... ;-) .
Some of the ground is very muddy, as we unfortunately had to put a strain on the subsoil for new sewage and water connections. We ask for your understanding.

Advantages
Quiet location in the Altes Land and close to Hamburg
Negatives
No parceled parking spaces, no individual washing cabins, barrier closing time too long at lunchtime
Well located
A fairly large campsite on the meadows of a working fruit farm. Unfortunately, the pitches are not parceled out, so that we once had to park our car at the neighbor's when we returned because another neighbor had pitched his tent in "our" area. When it rains, the pitches get boggy very quickly. The sanitary... facilities are basic, there are no individual washing cubicles for ladies, for example. They are kept quite clean, but there was a strong smell of sewer during our stay. It was lousy cold in the newer toilet cubicles (extra building). You have to find an attitude to the reception and the snack bar in the same room and also like cats: it all seemed very rustic. But the service is friendly and very helpful. Bread roll service is even available on Sundays! A cobbled driveway gives the caravan a thorough shake on arrival. However, there is a side entrance - not signposted - through which we were able to leave the site unscathed at the end. The location in the center of the Altes Land is very nice. There is an S-Bahn connection 4 km away: it only takes an hour - without traffic jams - to get to Hamburg's Hafencity. It's a shame that the campsite barrier is closed at lunchtime from 1pm to 3pm. Especially if a campsite is more suitable for sightseeing, you shouldn't have to organize your day around a 2-hour lunch break, especially as there are only a few car parking spaces in front of the reception.

I don't normally give reviews, but considering that we were on a Womo pitch a few days ago, which was even free of charge, the price/performance ratio here is very poor. The overall impression is very unkempt.

Advantages
Peace and relaxation with great cycle paths.
Negatives
Cleanliness on the pitch. The "Gammelecke" in the turnpike area urgently needs to be improved.
Quiet place in a good location for cyclists and lovers of farmhouse cafés
This was our third time here. The registration went smoothly without a reservation. The operator took us to the pitches and gave us advice because the pitches were very wet. The electricity connection went smoothly. The pitch was big enough. Water was nearby, but the waste water disposal was far away... in the sanitary building. The sanitary facilities were not outstanding, but clean and in order. The new toilet cubicles are far too small. The entrance area with the garbage corner makes a very negative impression. It stinks to high heaven here. Rotting caravans and other equipment spoil the picture a little. The site urgently needs to be tidied up! Some pitches also urgently need to be cleaned up. The reception area with the small restaurant and a touch of a store makes a good impression, but could be cleaner and more well-kept. cat hair on seat cushions etc. is not everyone's cup of tea. The site is ideal for cycling in the Altes Land. Good to very good cycle paths past the Elbe, Lühe and many cafés and restaurants provide a feeling of happiness. Stade and Buxtehude are easy to reach by bike. We then used the Wischhafen - Glücksstadt Elbe ferry again to cycle further north, avoiding Hamburg and the Elbe tunnel. All in all, a good place to enjoy for a few days. Good value for money.

Advantages
centrally located in the "old country" --- the place is ok so far
Negatives
...cleaning up couldn't hurt.
For a short vacation during the fruit tree blossom
This site is ideal for a short vacation, e.g. during the fruit tree blossom, a visit to the "old country" or a trip to Hamburg. However, the pitch meadow was very soggy and the trailers have already left deep tracks there. The tidiness could be much better, behind the barn there is building rubble, junk... and very old caravans standing around, which is not nice to look at (cleaning up would be a good idea). However, the entrance area, the pitch as a whole and the sanitary facilities are ok.
