"Not necessarily recommended - On the second day, I went to the restaurant at noon to grab a light meal. It was also very hot. The friendly lady showed me to a table and told me they had a buffet or à la carte options. I decided to go with à la carte. So far, so good. The next day, I wanted to grab a bite to eat at 8:45 p.m. and went back to the restaurant. Just like that afternoon, I waited until a young, friendly lady asked me if I’d like to eat. She then seated me at a table on the terrace and asked what I’d like to drink. When I asked for the menu, she said that only the buffet was available. But since that was too much for me, she suggested the kids’ menu—a small pizza and a salad. Perfect for me. After a while, an older gentleman named Antonio—possibly the maître d’—came over and accused me in German of sitting down at this table without asking. I clarified the situation, however (German is my native language, and until recently I was a successful, independent restaurateur in Italy). He turned away for a few seconds, then said in a loud voice, gesturing wildly, “Get out of here—you won’t be served here.” Nothing like this has ever happened to me in my entire life. Of course, I left the restaurant immediately and reported the incident to management via email a few minutes later. I have not received a response.

"Be careful at this campsite! - Of the 5 ADAC stars awarded to Baia Azzurra, 2* can be safely deducted. The actually very beautiful site, wonderfully embedded in a dreamlike natural setting, destroys its good image itself through arrogant financial behavior. Customer friendliness is different. In some cases, they are mercilessly ripping you off. We cannot even recommend the campsite with reservations and would never come here again.

"Recommended with restrictions for guests with dogs - There is no dog meadow, as is actually stated in the description. The dog shower is outside the campsite half a kilometer away from the pitch, and the advertised dog beach is also not 300 meters away, but over 1km. All in all, disappointing for dog owners, as the location is not so good for walks. You pay for many things (pool, private beach of the campsite, etc.) and as a dog owner who doesn't want to leave his dogs alone, you have to pay extra for the dog, so you could at least expect something to come back (e.g. poop bags with containers).

"Cheeky and loud. - I would only book online, as the prices on site are almost twice as high. Unfortunately, I saw this too late.

An exclusive seaside village in the heart of Maremma Camping Village Baia Azzurra is located just 150 m from the wonderful and award-winning Rocchette beach, easily accessible via a pedestrian path through the pine forest. Camping The camping area consists …of different types of pitches of various sizes, ideal for all needs; with dimensions up to 100m² and electrical connections up to 16A. In addition, the Platinum and Platinum Plus pitches are equipped with drinking water taps and wastewater drainage directly at the pitch. The campsite also has two sanitary blocks and a group of 20 private bathrooms bookable together with the pitches, designed to satisfy the most demanding campers. Bungalows NEW 2026: Bungalow Prestige Family and Charme Plus, two brand new accommodation types with modern and comfortable design! The bungalows, available in eight different types, are all equipped with a living room with fitted kitchenette, bathroom with shower, hot/cold air conditioning, mosquito nets and garden or veranda. Within the village there is a villa with nine apartments, each with independent entrance, living room with equipped kitchen, one or two bedrooms, bathroom with shower, hot/cold air conditioning and terrace with sea view or garden. Activities and Dining The animation team, led by our mascot Bazzù, will entertain you with workshops, mini club and the much-anticipated baby dance, as well as numerous activities both on the beach and in the sports area! The Camping Village offers two swimming pools with hydromassage pool and Spray Park, various dining options including restaurant-pizzeria, grill and tavern with take-away and delivery service, as well as the bar-tobacconist, market-bazaar and the beach bar "Terrazza 64". For those who love physical activity, there are two padel courts, a tennis court, a football pitch and a beach volleyball court, the bike corner with e-bike rental and excursion organization, while on the beach there is the Beach Sport area with SUP and canoes. A Smart Working area, playground for children, entertainment, an equipped outdoor fitness area and a dog wash for our four-legged friends.
