"Have fun with a large tour group - We were a group of 7 families; 4 of us stayed in the cozy camping barrels and 3 in the caravan. This worked wonderfully on a pitch with prior reservation. Some of the wooden furniture (tables, benches) are covered with a pavilion so that we could sit together in the evening and were somewhat protected from the cold at night. For an extra €15, you can book a private toilet with washing facilities and shower (very new) on the same pitch. This was very practical as it was a very short walk and only for our group. Hot water was no problem. The sleeping barrels are very comfortable with 2 good mattresses and insect screens. 2 people sleep well. A child fits into the crack. The two benches in front can be converted into narrow bunks, so that there are 2 more sleeping places. However, the beds are really only suitable for narrow people (kids) with healthy backs. The main toilets and washrooms are only 60 steps away, so there are no long distances. However, these are a bit outdated. The grounds are green and border a young forest. With the beautiful playground and the naturally overgrown swimming lake with watercraft, we had a lot of fun on site every day. The snack bar offers standard chips and co., including pizza. The beer is delicious and freshly tapped. In the morning, bread roll trolley at around 8.00 am with a bell and delicious baked goods (no large bakery). We really liked that. The operator is friendly and uncomplicated and has a nice team. All in all, we liked it very much. Highly recommended:-)

"Beautiful campsite with many possibilities - A beautiful campsite that offers many opportunities to spend a nice vacation. From swimming, pedal boating, hiking and fishing (extra fishing lake next door 😁) and chilling in the beer garden, there is also a large playground where the children can let off steam with various equipment and water games. However, what is a big disturbing factor and a hygienic catastrophe are the cats that are kept by permanent campers. These cats, sometimes three at a time. They leave their droppings everywhere, which not only stinks terribly but is also a hygienic nightmare, especially for children. Something should urgently be done about this!

"Beautiful family campsite - To sum up, we loved it at Hollenbachersee and will definitely be back again. The children really enjoyed the adventure playground and the great woodland area, which is great for cycling and walking. We couldn't use the lake due to the weather, but in good weather you can go pedal boating or swimming there. If you get hungry, there is a small snack bar available. There is coffee, ice cream, chips etc... A baker comes by 3 times a week, where you can buy delicious baked goods. The nearest shop is about 15 minutes away. The large pitch with water and electricity connections was very quiet and offered enough space for a caravan, awning and V-Class. The site operators are very friendly and helpful and can always be found at the site. From the site you can make great excursions nearby or drive to Nuremberg, Würzburg or Stuttgart. So there's a lot on offer for very little money. We can recommend the Waldcampingplatz am Hollenbachersee to any family.

"Nice place with good price - performance ratio - Very nice people, they try to help with problems. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but clean and in good condition. Nice playground under trees unfortunately our children are already too old. You have to do without big attractions or stores. There is a bakery in the morning. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing time, this is the place for you. Pitches partly with good shade. We have no reason to complain

"wonderful fall vacation - I stayed at the campsite for 5 days in October. I was impressed by the great helpfulness and friendliness of all the members of the host family. Whether it was providing information or technical support when my car wouldn't start, you don't experience such relaxed, friendly helpfulness every day. The place is ideal as a starting point for cycling tours, but also for staying and relaxing. It was a bit as if time had stopped there, which I found very pleasant. I can live with the fact that the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated. It was important to me that they were really clean. So, I would love to come back!

"Weekend at Lake Hollenbach - Beautifully situated campsite right on the lake. Very nice for children with a large forest playground and water playground. 2 bathing islands in the middle of the lake. Pedal boat hire. The lake can also be used with the inflatable boats and SUPs you bring with you. Bathing shoes are recommended, otherwise the concreted entrance can be slippery. Bread rolls can be ordered on site. The nearest supermarket is 10 km away in Niederstetten.
