"Overnight stay - Fine as a stopover. The location on the water is nice, the surroundings quiet. However, the site is not really well maintained and makes a careless impression.

"Location hui - Sanitary pfui pfui - Top Camping Vaasa - Not really TOP! Top location, on an island. However, access is through the entire town. The pitches, which are neither numbered nor parceled out in any way, can be chosen at will. At least if you arrive on time - before 15h. Wide paths, easy maneuvering even with longer trailers. There are grass pitches and some that are graveled. Plenty of old trees, so lots of shady spots. Despite very high occupancy (vacations in Finland), it was fairly quiet. There are many shopping facilities in Vaasa. Several sights in the surrounding area. Unfortunately there are two major points of criticism. The cleanliness and general condition of the sanitary facilities and kitchens. The toilets and showers were diligently cleaned - unfortunately without visible success. The floor was still dirty immediately after cleaning and there were dead flies and mosquitoes on the walls of the shower cubicles throughout our stay. The layout - toilet, washbasin and showers in one room is also not great. The kitchen and sinks were also in poor condition. Moldy sealant in a kitchen/sink is an absolute no-go! It's a real shame, because the place itself and the location are incredibly beautiful.

"Only 3 km from the center of Vaasa - This campsite is located on a headland at the northern end of a small island. Friendly reception in English and free choice of pitches. The pitches are spread out rather than in rows. There are many beautiful spots with sea views. The ground is mostly firm grass, sometimes with a gravelled strip for the vehicle. Old trees provide plenty of shade. Free WiFi on the pitch, maybe not on the whole site, but we had good reception at C21. Barbecuing with charcoal is only permitted at the stationary barbecue facilities. Very good kitchen house for tent guests. At the beginning of June we paid €23 for a mobile home with 2 people and electricity. Check out until 5 pm. The mosquitoes were limited.

"Expensive place (70,-€/night for the hut) - As I said above, it's an expensive place (€70/night for the hut). But the place seems to thrive on permanent campers and people like me who are passing through on their way to the ferry. Or want to take one and have to wait until the next one arrives. I've been to Scandinavia many times, but considering the condition of the cabins and the whole area, I think the above price is pretty exorbitant. But it seems to work... W-Lan only near the reception...

Top Camping Vaasa is a family-friendly campsite located on the island of Vaskiluoto, just about 2 km from the city center of Vaasa. The site is right by the water and offers a beautiful, park-like environment with mature trees and …spacious pitches. The paths on the grounds are partly paved, partly made of compacted sand and gravel. The campsite has a fine sandy beach where you can also find a traditional Finnish sauna. Bicycles can be rented at the reception. Accommodation options include 31 renovated clay cottages for four people and six newly built beach cabins. The cottages are equipped with electricity, heating, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a terrace. For campers, there are pitches on green grass or convenient sand sites. The sanitary facilities include modern showers, toilets, baby changing rooms, washing machines, and dryers. There is also a well-equipped camper kitchen. A small shop (Top Shop) offers a café, and there is a lovely playground next to it. Several barbecue huts are available for grill lovers. Cottages and tents can also be rented. The Tropiclandia water park and the Wasalandia amusement park are within walking distance.
