This is a great place to relax, enjoy the lake, and explore the beautiful surroundings—whether by car or e-bike. Or go on excursions. Even the ÖBB regional rail network is included.
Negativ
Sometimes it gets crowded in the dishwashing area and in the restrooms. But patience is part of the deal if you want to relax. The trash collection department struggled with the rush during peak season. Waste separation barely worked anymore.
Summer retreat
This is a great place to relax.
Swim in the warm, clean lake or explore the surrounding area by e-bike (there are some hills…) or car.
Wörthersee is just a stone’s throw away; Rosental is quieter and features beautiful old churches (Maria Elend). Klagenfurt is very close by and bustling—perfect for those... who find the beach resorts too crowded.
Friendly ladies keep everything clean all day long.
Short-term guests miss out on the spirit of a good old-fashioned summer retreat.

The lake is simply beautiful, lots of entertainment, great location

The location of the site; the spaces are generally very cramped; noise; the owner or staff of the restaurant were very unfriendly because we parked our RV briefly (!) in front of their restaurant (it’s still the tone that matters).
A lovely place with almost no flaws
Perfect for a short getaway; the staff is very friendly, and it's a great starting point for excursions

Keutsach Campground
I visited this campground for nostalgic reasons. I had also stayed at this campground 60 years ago.
The campground has, of course, changed, but it met all my expectations. The restrooms are very clean and are cleaned several times a day.
The value for money is very good.
There is a charging station for electric vehicles at the reception desk (operated by a third party).

We absolutely loved our stay here and our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay! The campsite is spacious, peaceful, and has a wonderful atmosphere. The crystal-clear lake is simply amazing, and having a swimming pier right at the campsite made it even more special. The restaurant serves delicious food, and there are beautiful running and walking routes starting directly from the campsite. We would definitely love to come back and stay longer next time. Highly recommended!

A beautiful and peaceful location on Lake Keutschach. Everything is always very clean, and the staff is friendly!

At first, I was shocked because the women's restroom facilities looked very patchwork. But since they were constantly being cleaned and everything was always clean, I got used to it. Poor electrical layout, no water outlets, and a cold-water shower by the lake!
Pre-season
We went on vacation with our dog. Not only do they charge a fee for the dog, but they also offer quite a few amenities. We were greeted with treats, there’s a dog shower with warm water, and there are poop bags at the exit of the campsite. There’s a great walking area right outside with additional bag... dispensers, and more than enough places to dispose of waste.
The quiet location was very relaxing, with birdsong from the adjacent forest—we were right next to the forest!

What we didn’t like at all was that in many spots, power cords have to be laid across the paths because the layout is very poorly planned. There are a lot of cords lying around. You have to fetch water for washing up.

We also missed having a shower by the lake! Dogs aren’t allowed in, which is fine for hygiene reasons. But sweaty people are allowed in, and after swimming, the walk to the showers is long—which strikes me as a contradiction!

All in all, though, it’s still a campground I can recommend if you can put up with the drawbacks.

Simply Brilliant
What a beautiful spot. After the warm welcome, I jumped right into the crystal-clear water. My RV was parked just 5 meters away. A very peaceful place. Clean restroom facilities. A great restaurant with occasional live music. Plenty of hiking and biking trails. I’ll be back.

Relaxing, great atmosphere, and an enjoyable stay
My stay at Camping Sud was enjoyable and pleasant. The lake is right next to the campground. The town of Klagenfurt is within e-bike range. For the regular bike, you’ll need some leg strength.
The supermarket, which has a wide selection, is within walking or biking distance.

I had a great vacation.

Sunny place with a heart
Quiet, well-kept campsite surrounded by greenery right on the lake. Birdsong in the morning and a view of the mountains. Sanitary always clean and always warm water. WLAN, children's playground, restaurant and other facilities available.
Very friendly staff.

Nice place but way too expensive
We stayed at the campsite for two nights. A small, quiet site with a nice beach and jetty for jumping in. Unfortunately, the distances for electricity and water are enormous.
My 40m cable was just about enough.
The small bistro offers friendly service and a small selection of delicious dishes that are... nicely presented.
But unfortunately this place seems far too expensive to me!
For 2 nights (2 adults and a 12 year old child) almost 140 €. I am of the opinion that the price is not appropriate for a place with rather simple facilities.
We will not be visiting this campsite again.
