Mr.
This is my second time here (always September). The staff and service personnel are very friendly. The pitches are beautifully ingrown and guarantee peace and privacy. The beach is great and the water is crystal clear. I would love to come back.

Beautiful, clean campsite with a dream beach
By far the nicest campsite I've ever been to. Everything super well maintained and clean! The beach is an absolute dream! The supermarket is well equipped, not overpriced and the bread from the bakery tastes delicious. (There is even a small butcher's counter) The campsite has a lot to offer. The restaurant is perfectly fine for a campsite.
If you are very lucky, you can even see baby turtles hatching on the beach (mid-September).

The crew regularly cleans the sanitary facilities. The restaurant on site serves good meals at reasonable prices. The supermarket on site has all the food you need. Good sports facilities and a large children's playground.
Negativ
Drinking water points are rather rare on the site, i.e. depending on the location of the camper, you may need to walk a few minutes. The toilets and showers are getting on in years. At night from 10 p.m. onwards we were subjected to noise from the hotel complex opposite.
Beautiful campsite
We arrived just after the Italian school vacations and the campsite was only very sparsely occupied. Great out of season.
The beach and the sea are directly accessible from the campsite.
Pay attention to the arrival times. Access to the campsite is limited on arrival.

Super pitches. Clean, friendly and mega beach. First class store.
Negativ
Very, very loud during the animation of the Robison club. Camping management could allocate pitches in low season that are not affected by the beach party after midnight.
Worse than Ballermann
I've never experienced anything like it. It couldn't be louder. Ballermann is sacred. Double sound / animation from the Robison Club until midnight. This club is a disgraceful way to treat a campsite in paradise. The campsite management assigned us this spot next to the beach party. And that is the biggest... negative point for me. There would have been free pitches in the less crowded area. Or some information about what was going on would be appropriate. We have already experienced a lot and are not sensitive to noise. We were just passing through. Specified 3 nights for a beach time when booking. And had to pay for this immediately for the first time. Hope that we will be reimbursed for the two nights that we did not spend here.

Beautiful place
The site was still very busy in September. Nevertheless, we got a very nice pitch. The pitches are generally very nicely laid out and very large. You have a lot of privacy. The site has everything you need. The staff are very friendly, but only speak English. The beach and the sea are fantastic. The... sanitary facilities are not the newest but are completely adequate and clean. In the evening it is sometimes a bit noisy due to the neighboring Robinson Club.

In the season very expensive for that nothing is offered. Pool costs extra very expensive are only 2 areas no slides nothing everything costs extra nothing is included for the expensive price. Animation not so good. Extreme noise from 3 sides 3 different music sounds until 00:00 at night not to think of sleeping. Restaurant very expensive on the campsite. On the whole what you are offered is very expensive and you are not really offered anything except for the space and electricity. Reservation platform complicated and strange. Will not come again So management is only on money not classic camping management where nice and friendly and just camping not money greed and wealth. They would prefer to abolish campers and tents and only have mobile homes.

Puglia's dream beach
Huge site (approx. 1000 pitches) on a dream beach like in the Caribbean. top pitches in the pine forest or under mat roofs. Sanitary everything clean and well maintained, but already getting on in years.staff very nice and always helpful. We didn't like the restaurant on site (drinks such as water from... plastic cups, pizza also not a big hit) about 50m outside a supermarket or shopping possibility in Ugento (large COOP).
Unfortunately the volume of the music from the Robinson Club next door goes late into the night, no chance to sleep before 24:00.
Otherwise everything was as good as everywhere else on our 4-week trip to Apulia.

The beach is large, especially the free ones and the No. 4 and the water is great. The personnel in the Restaurant Da Paride is also very friendly. Pleasant smell if pins in the forest around the campsite.
Negativ
The organization of the check-in is very bad. In a 4 stars camping, we had to wash by ourselves our sheets and towels (of Mobile Home), even if we stayed there for 2 weeks (14 days); the blankets are soo small that we have to use 2 for 1 adult.
Sir
We start the holiday with left foot there, because after 12 hours of driving 1000km, we had to wait another 5 hours to get the Mobile Home (they knew from where we are arriving and that we have 2 kids, 2 and 4 years old).
After 1st week, the main restaurant in the camping close at lunch, so we had no... place to buy cooked food, near our place; also after 1st week, the beach where we paid our umbrella and sunbeds get closed and we were moved to another beach (but for this one they gave me money back). However, as the structure management claims that they announced in advance that check-in is guaranteed starting with 17:00 (so we wait 5 hours), they should also inform guests that from 13th of September, the main Restaurant close at lunch, the beach n°4 close, there will be no entertainment for kids in the evening and the movie time change so that they can close earlier - because we would not come there. Maybe the water is magnificent there, and only for that I would recommend to others the place, even if I would probably no go back, but to Riva di Ugento, for the organization way that impacted us, I am not recommending (maybe for people with camper-van or caravan is a good place).

Traffic on the main square road
Very nice
Huge place, but divided into small areas so that we, as lovers of small places, were able to cope with it.
I would only advise against the pitches on the main road due to the heavy traffic there.
The pitches vary greatly in size in the pine forest or closer to the sea in the bushes and are laid out quite... naturally. There is sometimes a tree in the middle of the pitch. Some pitches are covered with a pergola.
The site is well organized, we were given a choice of 2 pitches on arrival (the site was quite full). The staff are very friendly and communication is no problem, at least in English.
Everything you need is available on site. The supermarket is well stocked, the restaurant reasonably ok.
The beach is beautiful and unspoilt. Fine sand and clear water.
The sanitary facilities are not luxurious, but clean.
The campsite itself is quiet at night (after the entertainment ends at 23:30), but it can be noisy from outside (pitches on the edge of the campsite).
Payment in advance is unusual. As we didn't want to commit ourselves, we paid every 2 days, which was no problem.

I booked pitch. Camping request called for down payment but the system only called for balance by credit card payment. Paid in full. Given the forecast I sent email for clarification on possible inability to come and waiver to equip. Beach. No response to questions other than info that gate for beach access is open. Disrespectful and uneducated response, resulting in their financial benefit.

Pitches on "turf"
Description of pitches not true..
I will grant you some pitches on turf, but it is actually pine needles covering the sand surface.... Also, after booking the plus pitch (with loading and unloading) they assigned us one that had the tap in one side all uphill, so also very inconvenient... However, at least they promised us the return of the entire deposit paid in advance!!!

Pizzaria
Top beach
Now in June in the low season, the site is only sparsely filled. After a first night on a somewhat unremarkable pitch, we managed to find a wonderful pitch right behind the dune by the sea. These pitches are more for tents, but our camper van fitted in very well. The pitches around it were all empty,... so it was heavenly quiet. The beach is 5 stars plus for the Mediterranean. Almost empty, super fine dream sand and turquoise water that goes in forever shallow. Perfect for children. The sanitary facilities are okay, quite clean and totally in order. Whether this is also the case in high summer is doubtful. Certainly one of the most beautiful places in Italy for a beach vacation. Minus: the pizzaria is not worth the money. Even German baked pizzas are better. And the service in the restaurant isn't great either

Hidden costs
Camping Beautiful but with hidden costs
About the campsite nothing to say, the thing that upset me were the surprise costs I found at check-in. Despite the fact that on the reservation there was among the notes written that we would arrive in 4 people (two adults and two children), camper and car in tow and preference on the desired pitch,... they took 24h for the approval of the estimate (and that's fine), they replied to me by e-mail that the estimate had been approved but the desired pitch was not available (and that's fine too). But since you answered me for the pitch why not tell me that the quote was wrong by default instead of upon my arrival finding a surprise of 90.00€ ? Maybe out of fear that I would not confirm the quote? And now in your opinion isn't it worse for me to write my negative experience about you and advise anyone passing through Ugento not to stop at your campsite? Just be transparent about the quotes instead of hiding in lower costs to grab your reservation.

Besvaret fra Riva di Ugento Beach Camping Resort 28. september 2018
Dear Mr. Salvatore, Thank you for choosing to spend your vacation at Riva di Ugento and for taking the time to review our facility. We are very pleased with your positive assessment regarding the campground in general. We regret to learn of your negative experience regarding the price of your stay. In... this regard, we would like to point out to you that since our rate policy of 100% discounting a child is in effect, it is possible that the total number of people you selected for the stay calculation (automatically processed by the system) was not actually correct. For this reason, as specifically described on the booking confirmation, in the event of a change in persons or services from the reservation made the final stay price may be subject to change. Certainly we have sinned in carelessness in evaluating the notes you reported, and for that reason we apologize. However, we would like to point out that the stay rates, published on our website and on the major camping portals, are absolutely clear and transparent as are all our special offers. In wishing us the opportunity to host you again in our accommodation we send you cordial greetings.

The best sandy beach in Europe, a pristine place with a lot of flair.
Negativ
Rather sparse surroundings.
We're going again this year!
I can't understand the frequent criticism regarding the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. Last year they were cleaned at least once a day, which was absolutely sufficient even in the HS (early July). The pitch is kept very simple, but absolutely clean and safe. If you absolutely need all the connections... on the pitch, you have to book the luxury pitches, or best just stay on the upper Adriatic ;-) The staff is extremely friendly, there is nothing missing on the site that you absolutely need. The hinterland is rather barren, right next to the campsite there is a good pizzeria and a great pastry shop that also offers excellent ice cream and coffee. If you want to do some major shopping you have to drive a bit further, but Galipoli has everything. The pitches are rather cramped and not for the faint-hearted with a large camper van, but here too the groundsman is eager to help when things go wrong. The best thing is of course the beach, or rather the Ionian Sea, which looks like the Seychelles, and not just in the photos.

BAD EXPERIENCE The conclusion is that... the stay could have been lived with positivity and lightheartedness , instead we encountered a grotesque affair and bordering on incivility that left us with a bitter taste in our mouths.
