Location directly on the lake
Negativ
Much too expensive, 776 NOK for 2 persons with camper incl. electricity. Showers extra. Too few sanitary facilities, no usable WLAN at the end of the site. No water taps on the pitches.
Beautifully located but far too expensive
The site is beautifully situated, but far too expensive for the facilities. We certainly won't be back.

Very crowded as this campground is one of the closest to Troll's Tongue
There is everything you need to spend the night and travel onward
The cost per night is 250 nok. The campsite is located in the town of Odda, which is not far (20 kilometers) from the Troll's Tongue. This means that there are a lot of tourists there. We arrived in the evening and with difficulty, but still found a place for a tent. To our place we could not park the... car, we left it in the parking lot of the camping. So for more comfortable accommodation in this camping site it is better to arrive early. In addition to tent sites, there are rooms on the campground. The campsite is basically spacious. There is a main building with a shower (paid, 20 nok for 5 min), toilets and a kitchen. The kitchen is small and there were a lot of campers in it. So many that I didn't even see what was in there. Also there is free wi-fi. And there's also a lot of information about Troll Language at the front desk: bus schedules, prices for parking lots and stuff like that. There's nothing grand about this campground. There is everything you need to spend the night and move on.

Obviously the proximity to the Trolltunga
Negativ
overcrowded; the number of showers, toilets, dishwashers etc. is many times too low; outrageous price;
Rip-off in the shadow of the Trolltunga
July 2, 2018 Note on the guide price here in the app: We paid € 33,- for a 6m-WoMo + electricity and 2 persons. Showers € 2.20 extra per person and shower. Completely overcrowded site; and I haven't lost count: 2 showers; only 2 (!) dishwashers with lukewarm water; we had to queue everywhere. If you don't want to hike up the Trolltunga: avoid this place.

Quite an expensive space for relatively little performance. Too bad
Beautiful location
Starting point for hikes to the glacier (Buerbreen), Trolltunga. Always very full in the evening, very small kitchen, too few toilets and showers, but NOK 20 for showering and NOK 10 for washing up. Staff not very friendly.

Paramedics and kitchen
Paramedics and kitchen horrible, overpriced
Kitchen far too small, 10 NOK for hot water for washing up. Constantly occupied by the many youths and rumbling. Sanitary facilities patched together and without concept, not sufficient. Showers 20 NOK. Poor value for money, reception quite unfriendly.

Price
The campsite is unfortunately very expensive. Awning on the vehicle costs extra, hot water for washing up, showers too! When it rains, the site is almost uninhabitable due to lack of drainage!!!!

good starting point for Buarbreen or Trolltunga Beautiful location by the lake

quite restless, very small showers, expensive at NOK 20
good starting point for Buarbreen or Trolltunga
Beautiful location in the countryside by the lake, some of the pitches are gravelled You will meet many campers, for whom there are separate areas. Many of those who stay here want to hike to Trolltunga, so it's quite busy early on. Overall, we liked the relaxed atmosphere here (lots of "outdoor people").... You can start the hike to the Buarbreen glacier from here. However, the showers are quite cramped and expensive at NOK 20. The kitchen is also cramped and quite crowded due to the many campers.

Beautifully laid out course with minor flaws
Beautifully situated site with a lovely view of the water...unfortunately there are not enough washing, shower and cooking facilities when fully booked. Popular as a starting point for hikes (Trolltunga etc.) More suitable for those passing through.

Very good location and very friendly staff !!!
Good campsite with super friendly staff!
We spent 2 nights in a tent with a car at this campsite and paid NOK 190 (per night). We were very satisfied. The sanitary facilities were clean and the location of the campsite was ideal for hiking. The lady at the reception was always able to help us with questions. We found life on the campsite to be very sociable and uncomplicated. Again and again!

great location, uncomplicated handling

actually none, perhaps too little space in the height of summer???
Nice place in a good location
The big plus of this campsite is probably its location as a starting point for all kinds of day trips. There is so much to do from here. Unfortunately, the glacier tour we had planned with the motorhome was still not possible - there was still too much snow in June. But that wasn't the site's fault.... There's not much to complain about here, everything is functional and practical. The well-equipped sanitary and kitchen facilities at all the campsites in Norway are great. It was the same here. It was also clean, even if there is certainly room for improvement. However, the site does seem to be too small for the high season, as it was already completely full in the evening at the beginning of June. That's when the sanitary facilities really start to run out. Nevertheless, the campsite is ideal as a base for all kinds of activities and basically left nothing to be desired. A clear recommendation!

Average space
Quiet place on public sidewalks, therefore many walkers. We were there for 1 night, site not full, but when it is full the number of sani cells is too low. Otherwise good location all sights can be easily reached

far too few toilets, sinks, showers, hotplates
Overcrowded CP with poor infrastructure and good hiking opportunities
CP was full to the last corner of the meadow at the weekend - but the sanitary facilities and kitchen were not enough even during the week!!! -but very conveniently located as a starting point for various hikes- Buarbreen is also easy to walk from the CP! Swimming in the lake is only for the hardened - the large glacier runoff feeds the lake!

WLAN costs NOK 30 and hardly works at all
Norwegian average, central location
Located directly on the glacial lake, there is always something going on here. Whether this is good or bad is a matter of opinion. Electricity connections are scarce and you need a long cable with a Schuko plug (as is usual in Norway). Sanitary facilities are Norwegian average...

A "must" place due to its central location to many sights and excursion destinations in the area. Recommendation: A few kilometers drive to Buarbreen at the Folgefonn Glacier (small parking lot - often overcrowded) and hike up to the glacier tongue for about 3 hours. The place was quite full during my... visit. The sanitary facilities are worse than the Norwegian average, with toilets, showers, dishwashing etc., expect waiting times. Allow for waiting times. The number of power points (Schuko sockets) is just sufficient. Due to the local location, the pitch is a bit damp - it probably takes a long time for everything to dry out. On arrival the reception was not manned; note: come back in 5 minutes. They often take 2 hours. Never mind, just choose your pitch and check in later. It's best to pay for everything straight away so that there's no waiting time on departure .... ;-)
