Camping in the heart of nature between Calvados and Eure Right next to the park-like grounds of a château, on the border between the Calvados and Eure departments, lies Huttopia Calvados – Normandy. Here, you can set up your tent …in the lush countryside of Normandy, surrounded by forests and apple trees. The charming half-timbered Norman houses that house the reception and small grocery store give the campsite a warm, welcoming feel. Whether you’re traveling with family or as a couple, this is the perfect place to enjoy nature, playgrounds, and nearby Calvados distilleries. Peace and plenty of space You’ll find only spacious tourist pitches here – flat, well-kept, and surrounded by tall trees. From your pitch, you can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding meadows. It’s a peaceful place, far from busy roads and tourist crowds. The campsite borders the grounds of a château, which were accessible until 2019. A real highlight was the private swimming pool at the foot of a tower, surrounded by neatly mowed lawns – truly picturesque. Fun and sports for all ages Whether young or old, you’ll find plenty of ways to stay active. The multi-sports field invites you to play football or basketball. Nearby, there’s a playground and a few table tennis tables. A mini-golf course offers fun for the whole family. The taste of Normandy: Calvados and cider The on-site shop covers your basic needs. For larger grocery shopping, you’ll need to drive about ten minutes north. As you’re in the heart of Calvados country, you’ll find plenty of distilleries and cider farms in the area – the first one is just around the corner.
