Our stay at Happy Camp was a huge disappointment. Stay here if you want to feel on edge for your holiday. We gave this place the benefit of the doubt even after reading the mixed reviews, but ended up regretting our decision. The site was cramped, making it difficult to manoeuvre without scratching our camper van. The real issue, however, was the owner’s rude and inflexible attitude. We asked if we could pay the night before our departure because we had to return our van early and catch a flight. Instead of understanding our situation, the owner refused and insisted no one could leave before 8 AM. When we explained we needed to leave at 7:30 AM, he didn't try to sympathise with our situation and kicked us off the site at 7 PM on a Sunday evening, but was still quick enough to charge us for the night. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We ended up spending the night in a layby — which, frankly, was a better experience than staying at this site. If you're considering staying here, save your money and do the same.

Save your money and stay somewhere else. The owner does let this place down by being miserable and rude without any need.

We liked it very much. Nice and helpful permanent campers. Always had tips for excursions. Friendly reception. Good restaurant. Sanitary facilities warm and clean. A great playground is right next to the campsite. Very central location with great views of the mountains

Outdoor area well-kept and idyllic
The campsite is very well maintained and you have a beautiful view of the mountains. There is also a great playground on the site.

For me as a woman, the sanitary facilities were a disaster. The toilets were very often dirty and freezing cold. There are only 3 toilets.
There were only 2 shower cubicles... in the shower room. And otherwise there were only 3 rooms with mirrors to get ready. 2 cabins were locked.
There was not a single socket in any of the cubicles. As a woman, you can't blow-dry your hair and have to walk through the cold (at least if you're not there in summer) to your caravan/motorhome with wet hair. For me, this is a point that absolutely doesn't work.
The whole wash house is very old-fashioned and would urgently need a renovation. The cleanliness in the washrooms also leaves a lot to be desired. No noticeable cleaning was carried out during the 6-day stay.

Beautiful place
We were here in September and received a very friendly welcome from the groundsman Rudi and were allocated a pitch. The site is in a beautiful location with a wonderful view of the mountains. The site is mostly occupied by permanent campers and there are somewhat smaller, mostly gravel pitches for tourists.... There is no bread service on the site, but this is not a problem as there is a supermarket nearby. SAT and water connection directly at the pitch are not available, contrary to the description. The sanitary facilities are clean but not barrier-free for men. Access to the sanitary facilities is only possible with a key. There are only 2 showers and 3 toilets for the men, which could be problematic in the HS. The showers are spacious but you have to press a button every 5 seconds to shower (a bit annoying). You can eat very well in the restaurant on site. The only disadvantage of the campsite is that the railroad runs behind the campsite. Due to the many crossings for hikers and agricultural traffic, the train has to honk loudly every time. This is about 5 times per passing from about 5:30 am (but that's not the operator's fault). All the staff are very friendly and we felt very comfortable. We will definitely come back again (in the low season).

Selvom vi havde bestilt og fået bekræftet en plads. Havde de ingen, anden end en fastlæggers p-plads. Samt sur og dårlig service.
Dårlig service og meget ringe campingplads
Havde mailet og bestilt plads. Men da vi ankom fik vi parkeringspladsen til en fastlægger. Ikke plads til forteltet eller bilen. De undskyldte ikke, men sagde jeg skulle være glad for at få en plads. Sure gamle mænd som ikke ved hvad service er. Dårligste oplevelse i vores 30 år som campister.

Light and shadow
Good location, also for those passing through. Very small pitches, many permanent campers. Sanitary clean, but from the 80s and somehow creepy (colorful lighting). Access with separate key is annoying Supermarket and town center within walking distance. From 6 a.m. the train passes the site honking loudly (but not too often). Nice starting point for outdoor activities (e.g. mountain biking). Not barrier-free throughout.

Beautiful, central square
The campsite is located on the outskirts of Lermoos. The village center can be reached quickly on foot. Large supermarket nearby. Next door is a small park with a playground, all very nicely laid out. The sanitary facilities are very clean, as is the site itself. The pitches are not separated and are relatively small. Many permanent campers. The train, which often passes by during the day and honks at every level crossing, is a bit annoying.

Beautiful small campsite at the foot of the Zugspitze
The site is beautifully situated with a view of the Zugspitze. The sanitary facilities are clean and fulfill their purpose, but the men's area is a bit gloomy. You can only get into the sanitary facilities with a key, which is a bit annoying. There are a bit too many permanent campers on the site. The signposting to the site is poor, all navigation systems want to lead via a footpath through the spa gardens, why is that?
