Fantastic, great layout. Great service and impeccable facilities (toilet, shower, supermarket, indoor swimming pool, etc.). We arrived in the middle of the night and were able to check in at the overnight pitch via a machine and drive into the parking space without any problems. Super friendly staff at reception (thank you very much, dear Petra, for the great welcome).

For arrivals at night, it might also be useful to have a vending machine where you could buy drinks or snacks.
What a great campsite with a Mediterranean ambience in Germany
As mentioned, we were totally surprised by the place and we really hadn't expected such a flawless infrastructure.

We will definitely be back.

Beautiful campsite to feel good
We really felt at home here. The place has a lot to offer for all ages. There is also provision for bad weather. Indoor pool with 29° water. Indoor rooms for playing, reading, watching TV. We would love to come back.

Great campsite
We were here with our grandson. He and we really enjoyed it. Whether swimming, mini golf, hiking, mini zoo or playground, everything was great. We would love to come back.

Unfortunately the toilets were not very clean, trash cans overfilled and no hand paper only fans and the petting zoo very sad to look at.
Have been to better places...no 5 stars, unfortunately

I liked that all employees were always courteous, helpful and above all always friendly

Basically you have to reprimand the guests. Because if everyone would clean up a bit and use the clo brush, everything would be much cleaner even if the campsite is fully booked. I can only say to the cleaning staff that they do a great job
My impression of the Gugel campsite
Fulya was particularly helpful, thumbs up for that.
Restaurant was very good.
What was a bit annoying was the open fireplace because you were disturbed by the smoke.
All in all a great campsite that deserves its stars.

Camping with a caravan
The campsite is in an idyllic location near the Rhine, with great walking and cycling paths.
There are great facilities: swimming pool, sports fields, mini golf, playground, store with fresh bread rolls and everything you need. The campsite is well-kept and clean (when it's not being left a mess by campers themselves). The staff are helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back! It was great!

We received a warm welcome, but also a very warm farewell (Nicole👍)
We were allowed on the pitch before 12.00 noon, which is not a matter of course everywhere. The pitches are large and we were there with our boys and their family. All next to each other👍. Well organized.
Water, waste water and electricity... right next to the drawbar👏what more could you expect.
The water in the indoor pool was 29 degrees, wonderful. The toilets are very clean, always had toilet paper and disinfectant for the toilet seat. All public areas very clean.
We bought a caravan again after 20 years. These were perfect vacations to start with. Thank you very much 🙏

Nice campsite. There's always something going on.
There is mini golf, tennis court, volleyball court, small football pitch, indoor swimming pool... it never gets boring.
We were unlucky that our neighbors all had dogs with them. They barked every time someone walked past. And some of them ran around without a lead. That was very annoying

The site is very clean and well maintained. The indoor pool is a big advantage, especially when the weather is not so nice. The pitches are spacious enough even for large caravans with large cars. Very friendly staff!

The old wash house is clean and in good condition, but unfortunately very cold. We switched to the newer one.

We were one of the first guests on the new premium pitches. Wow! Really a new standard - compliments! We camped for 4 days. The sanitary facilities are modern and were always clean. We can also highly recommend the Italian restaurant on the pitch.

Camping with beautiful wellness facilities
It was our second visit to Camping Gugel, this time over Fasnacht. The sauna was great even in the less pleasant weather. Elke and Achim are a great massage team. We can only recommend treating yourself to a massage with them. You can also eat very well in the restaurant.

Swimming pool was definitely too cold and the sanitary area definitely needs to be renovated. The camping store is open for too short a time.

Unfortunately, this campsite did not meet the 5-star standard advertised online.
The paths on the site are neither paved nor surfaced, which is very unpleasant, especially in bad weather.
The men's toilets were not properly drained, which is hygienically problematic.
A window in the table football... room was damaged, which does not leave a well-kept impression.
In addition, there was no water directly at the pitch, which should actually be standard nowadays.
The indoor pool was rated at 29 degrees, but was clearly too cold, so swimming was hardly fun.
There was only one changing room and one shower for men and women, which is completely inadequate when the pool is full.
The water in the shower never got really warm and there was no place to put shampoo or soap.
Overall, there is an urgent need for improvement here, especially if we continue to advertise with 5 stars. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio does not match this claim.

The restaurant at the campsite is absolutely outstanding - to be honest, more like a 7-star restaurant than a 5-star restaurant.
The food was always perfectly warm, the plates pre-heated and the taste was of the very highest standard. The quality, freshness and preparation leave nothing to be desired - you can tell immediately that a lot of skill and passion goes into the work here.
The exceptional friendliness of the staff deserves special mention: attentive, warm and absolutely professional. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment.
I was there with my wife and we were both very, very, very satisfied. We really enjoy eating here and would come back at any time - regardless of the campsite.
Conclusion: top quality in all areas - the cuisine, service and atmosphere are simply outstanding. An absolute recommendation!

Hallenbad, Sanitär und besonders das Restaurant am Platz sind 5 Sterne.
Negativ
Die sogenannten Komfortplätze (N...) erhalten nur 1 Stern. Sie sind nicht befestigt, bei Regen stehen sie stellenweise unter Wasser. Ein einfacher Wasserhahn ohne Abfluss.
Super Platz mit kleinen Fehlern
Wir sind gerne dort, weil man immer sehr freundlich aufgenommen wird. Aber die Plätze und die Zufahrtswege sind dringend verbesserungswürdig.
