Clean, free in early June, large pitches, some concreted and covered with shade netting. Plenty of toilets and showers.
Negativ
Expensive. 40 EUR/day for a camper, 2 persons + electricity. Uncut branches that hooked my AC to my RV.
Good but expensive
Many free places at the beginning of June, some right on the first line next to the beach, concrete, covered with shade net, water and electricity. Plenty of clean sanitary facilities, hot water without problems. Lidl at about 1000 m, the waterfront with terraces, shops and harbor at approx. 2000 m

Last campsite before the Turkish border.
The site is run by the city of Alexandropolis and you can tell that only salaried employees are at work here.
The sanitary facilities are outdated and very poorly maintained.
Also constantly dirty.
The price (caravan-caravan-2 persons approx. 27 euros) is too high for this site.
I had read somewhere that this site is supposed to be the best campsite in Greece.
There is neither a market nor a restaurant.

Depending on where you are "placed", it can be quite noisy from the nearby road. Otherwise the beach, sea, restaurant, mini-market - everything is there. The sanitary facilities are generally clean, but there is a certain maintenance backlog. I think the place is quite expensive - but I've just come to Greece from Turkey...

Ideal for short breaks
Ideal for short stays for molars when you pass through this area. the area is very large, on the seafront and within walking distance to the city center. You can visit Alexandroupois, swim in the sea and continue on your way.

Vacation by the sea
The campsite was very easy to find, from the exit of the Egnatia Odos highway to the seafront there is a direct road through the center of town. The campsite itself is located right in the first line near the sea in a park area. The territory is huge. Almost all places are in the shade among the trees,... which is very relevant in the hot season. All pitches are separated by hedges and this creates a certain coziness and privacy. The standard caravan/camper site is not badly thought out, part of it is made hard surfaced, which is convenient for parking and part of it is made a green area for resting. There are places for campers, also clearly separated by hedges. Of course, there is an excellent wide and large beach. The island of Samotraki can be seen on the horizon. Sanitary facilities and the hostel are simple, but quite clean. Hot water around the clock. Separately I would like to say about the places in the first line from the beach. They have shady canopies from the sun, which is very convenient. On the territory there is also a small cafe and the simplest children's playground.

The campsite is located directly in the town and by the sea. There are covered shady pitches for WOMOs and sunny pitches for tents (logical as always). Mini market and taverna (WIFI) available. Many permanent campers. Clean sanitary facilities. Shower, parasols and pavilions available for ALL free of... charge on the beach. Only negative - no cooling facilities for campers, WIFI available from the campsite but never accessible. . Shopping possibility - drive 1km inland - LIDL.

Well-organised campsite
It is a nice, well-organised and clean campsite. Good location and easy to find. Walking distance to the center and city park. The only bad thing is that the noise from the restaurant may be sometimes too much.

Well structured campsite
This year was our first time on this course. We were very impressed with the site and the infrastructure at first glance. But what happened from the 2nd day onwards can hardly be described in words. We as Germans were mobbed by Greek camping guests, the finest.had a beautiful pitch right by the sea,... as neighbors we had exclusively Greek women with their children aged about 2 - 10 years.it started with the fact that they played ball early in the morning from 7 o'clock in front of our pitch and bounced it vigorously on the ground, that sleep was hardly to think of. This went on until late in the evening and then escalated to such an extent that these children began to throw shovels of sand onto our pitch and mobile home, even after I asked the mothers to please let their children play somewhere else, I was verbally attacked aggressively, according to the motto "what do I want anyway, they've been here longer and live here after all! We then complained to the campsite management about these people and were told that there had already been trouble with these women several times and that they had had to change campsites several times because campers had also complained about them. This statement was enough and we decided to leave the site after 3 nights, although we were offered to move to another pitch. As far as food and the restaurant (cuisine) are concerned, I can only say briefly and concisely: Disaster!!! There is a large menu in the restaurant, but if you want to order something from it, you get the answer: "Has run out" or "we don't have any more." As far as the cook's hygiene is concerned, I can only say: Ugh! He obviously hasn't heard of washing his hands before he stands at the stove and I've seen him clearing dirty dishes, stroking a cat in between, smoking and then standing at the stove to cook! Bon appétit! Where we ate very well, however, was in the beach restaurant on the town beach, which is run by a Greek and his wife (Austrian). The quality of the food is excellent. The landlady also caters for requests that are not on the menu, she drives into town and buys the ingredients she needs to create the desired menu and everything is always fresh.

Central location, spacious pitches, shady spots. Plenty of sanitary facilities, dishwashing and washing areas, very clean. Pleasant atmosphere despite many permanent campers. The central location unfortunately has street noise as a disadvantage, especially at night when the street races take place. Nevertheless... recommendable! We've been there several times. We were on the site again in 2014. Unfortunately, you can now tell that money is running out. The cleanliness has deteriorated and there is less cleaning. If you reported damage in the past, it was repaired hours later. Now you wait for days in vain.

was only intended as an intermediate destination, came from turkey, we stood directly by the sea, not in the plots at the back of the site. the location was therefore ideal, as you could stand directly on the beach, but not in plots. we thought it was really great there. sanitary in order, restaurant... at the place - in order - the grocery store quite expensive, which is generally the case in greece...you can walk to the city, 500 m from the CP is a LIDL...basketball hoop and soccer goals available.... go there again in any case as an intermediate destination towards turkey...
