"Round trip Germany - Italy June 2025 - Friendly lady at reception who greets you in a good mood and is always open to questions Seats arranged in a circle. So everyone has plenty of space around them. Tapping water and disposing of waste water in the middle of the circle. Very practical. Clean and tidy sanitary facilities. Shower cubicle is also a single wash cubicle. Very spacious. Unfortunately there is a lot of water on the floor in front of the washbasin after showering. We spoke to the lady at reception and found out that the showers had a door, but unfortunately this was a hindrance for the cleaning staff. Unfortunately, a floor drain was forgotten in the cabins during planning. I am skeptical as to whether the one sanitary building is sufficient for the guests when fully occupied. The second sanitary building is in the area for permanent campers. Good location right next to the lido and water playground on the Altmühlsee. Both can be reached on foot from the campsite in just a few minutes. The restaurant is rustically furnished and offers a small selection of simple but tasty dishes. The highlight is the barbecue evening on Saturdays. The normal menu is suspended. When I arrived, there was a choice of knuckle of pork, spit roast or chicken. Each with potato salad (vinegar/oil). I chose the knuckle of pork. It was a poem. A campsite that is definitely suitable for a vacation. However, the question arises as to how high the duck, goose and swan population at the lido has spread. Unfortunately, this is now a problem at many lakes.

"Recommendable - Super beautifully situated and very clean place. Leisure activities for all interests, cycling, water sports of all kinds, walking, mini golf, etc. The cycle tours are well signposted and the cycle paths are well developed. There are areas along the way where you can watch birds, just beautiful. Here you can really relax and unwind. This was definitely not the last time we were here.

"Beautiful facility, very relaxing - Really nice place that is easy to find and easy to drive to with Franconian charm. Unfortunately, the phone was not answered before we arrived, so we went there on suspicion and full of hope. But then everything was fine, clean and the people were nice. The sanitary facilities are a bit rustic but also clean.

"Vacation Altmühlsee - Beautiful campsite great location Gunzenhausen is not far away and to drive around the Altmühlsee is just relaxing to relax just a great place.

"Super - We were very happy with the price, super beautifully laid out place. Rural and quiet. Toilets and showers were always clean and tidy and also heated.

"Beautifully situated - This campsite is located on the Altmühlsee and is nice and quiet. The pitches are really big. The sanitary facilities are a bit older but always clean. The size of the showers and washing facilities are unique! The only thing missing would be a small store, as it is some distance from Gunzenhausen. There are also campers without bicycles. The site lighting is good. We will definitely visit this site again.
