"Neat, quiet and the Atlantic nearby - Very nice, quiet and not too large campsite in Pays Basque (88 pitches) of which the majority are seasonal pitches and mobile homes/mobile homes. Approx. 25 tourist sites. Nicely laid out campsite with plants, trees and hedges between the pitches. No swimming pool (beaches are nearby). Pitches are sufficiently large (approx. 90m2), good WiFi throughout the campsite and excellent sanitary facilities that are always spotless! The pitches are (semi)-shaded to sunny. 10A electricity, water and drainage near the pitches. Very friendly operators who maintain the campsite excellently. In high season definitely book on time, otherwise you will be out of luck. Camping (Untxin Socoa) and pitches are very easy to access. The campground is about 1.5km. from the A-63 ('Autoroute de la Côte Basque', direction Spain) and 3 km. from Saint-Jean-de-Luz and 1 km. from the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic. There is a railroad line on the south side of the campground, but it doesn't really bother you much. The same goes for the road that runs in front of the campsite towards the outskirts. The campground is located on the edge of the Urrugne/St.-Jean-de-Luz urban area, making it a quiet area. Amenities (bakery/Aldi etc.) are within walking distance. Large super on very short distance (Leclerq) near the A-63. Further top amenities in St.-Jean-de-Luz, the fashionable seaside resort. Price/quality of camping is super for this sought-after region! €20,44/n (all-in) for 2 persons+ car/caravan. From the campsite beautiful hiking and especially cycling along the coast to both Biarritz/Bayonne and Hendaye/Spanish border or beyond. (via the beautiful 'Vélodyssée). These routes do go through (sometimes less/sometimes more) hilly areas, so by E-bike/mountain bike is doable for the average or sporty cyclist. Finally: the campsite has the predicate 'Charme Camping' in Pays-Basque and there are not many of those...... In short, a lovely 'small' campground where rest and relaxation for guests are paramount and the (mundane) beach and other amenities are in fact a stone's throw away.
