"Very simple place in a great landscape - Like all pitches in the Valbona Valley, Tradita is still a little off the beaten track. One shower and toilet each in a small room, with squat toilets for the men, which are also available for the restaurant. Electricity only at the house, if you want to stand a little further away, you need a lot of cable length... Ideal starting point for mountain hikes in the Valbona valley. Only met nice and friendly locals everywhere. The food in the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced.

"Simple and good - A simple pitch on a meadow behind the restaurant in a picturesque landscape. We paid €8 per night for 4 people. On arrival, you are informed immediately when the lamb is going on the spit. Basically every morning at 10am. And the smell of the two roasted lambs lingers over the campsite until midday. There are power sockets at the barbecue hut, but only 3 of them. Presumably the boss will distribute them when there are more campers. A brick well with a tap is the only washing-up facility we saw. But we would probably have been washed up in the restaurant kitchen if we had asked, because the owners are super nice! Twice a day a plate of melon was brought to our tent, just like that. The toilets are in the restaurant building and can be reached from the outside. They are squat toilets, as is so often the case in the Balkans, a bit basic and roughly plastered but clean and perfectly tidy. The site also has 5 bungalows with several beds. A complete bungalow costs 4500 Leks (34€) per night including breakfast. Certainly interesting for campers, the temperatures in August are 30° during the day and 15° at night. A change from the heat by the sea. The one-day hike over the Valbona Pass to Theth is popular with tourists. The entire area around the village is part of the Valbona Valley National Park. Bajram Curr at the entrance to the Valbone Valley is a small town with all the trimmings, lots of stores, bars, banks, ATMs and petrol stations. More information and pictures on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Hotel.Tradita.Valbone How to get there. Either by ferry across the Komani reservoir. Certainly a dream tour! You should possibly book in advance! Calculate the vehicle area in m2 ! One square meter costs 5€. Or you can drive on the road. But you should bring time with you. From Shkodra via the route SH5 + SH22 it takes 6 hours for the 200km, due to the endless bends around every mountain top. Despite the fantastic landscape, this is a lot of work for the driver! The longer but more relaxing route is the SH23 (via Kukës), because it is completely two-lane and you reach the highway faster. Next time we would like to know whether it is possible to use the border crossing Qafë Vranicë (Tropojë) - Plav coming from the north via Montenegro, whether it is open for cars or at least off-road vehicles. Unfortunately, there are only rumors.
