I had always wanted to visit Lac de Chalain, this time spontaneously on the way home. The two campsites directly on the lake, although one was free, deterred us because of the crowds of people who mainly came for the water park. There were no free pitches on the other one, so we ended up here. The operator... does his best to keep the site and sanitary facilities clean (in the morning it is a bit cold to use the toilets attached to the outside wall). There was also a small entertainment program (which we don't value) for kids and adults. So as a transit place for one night quite ok. We did not use the pool

The campsite is located in the lake region of the southern Jura (region des lacs de Jura sud) and offers the associated activities. The nearest lake is 4 km away. There are better located and more attractive sites. Numerous interesting excursions to caves, waterfalls, valleys and old villages. The site is a popular meeting place for short breaks at the weekend. Swimming pool available. Inadequate sanitary facilities. WLAN free of charge.

We visited the site at the end of the season. The sanitary facilities are of a minimal standard. Otherwise everything was fine.

Very good atmosphere, the owners are very nice and do everything they can to make your stay a success, lots of entertainment during the day and in the evening, the setting is perfect for relaxing, go there!
