Best choice for a visit to Asissi
The campsite is located above Assisi, on the road to Mt. Subasio and nestled quietly in the forest. Well located for visiting the town of Assisi, both on foot and by bike. We had free choice of pitches on the terraced site in September, the pitches are spacious and some are not really parceled out. Electricity... on site. Showers and toilets were a bit outdated, but perfectly adequate. The reception was friendly. The restaurant was very busy on the weekend, we can't say anything about the quality as we didn't visit.

Walking distance: The town is downhill, either via a footpath or along the road. Back a bit tedious (it was very warm)

Top tip for visitors to Assisi
Actually 10 min walk to the center. Staff very nice, restaurant and bar open. Staff very nice. Once you have understood the procedure in the self-service restaurant, it is absolutely recommendable. Home cooking at top prices. Very good wine! Pitches sometimes steep, some in the shade, some with great views. Sanitary was always clean.

Super for Assisi
Visited the site at the beginning of April. The sanitary facilities were closed and we had to share 2 bathrooms from apartment no.8. No toilet paper no soap and a worse cellar hole. As the normal sanitary facilities were not open we cannot judge them. It's not a long walk to Assisi, but you can hike there for a few hours. Direct footpath from the campsite. Staff spoke good English and were very friendly. WLAN only at the reception.

Downhill, uphill and close to Assisi
1 couple, a large tent and a desire for Assisi. You have to walk a bit to the town and back uphill, but that doesn't hurt. The site is in a wonderful location and is perfect for exploring Assisi. We just didn't manage the distance in 10 minutes. We stayed here for 5 nights and it was worth it. The sanitary... facilities are clean and absolutely adequate. In the low season you have many opportunities to find a nice spot. However, the site is not quite as quiet as mentioned, I imagine sleeping in the forest to be quieter. You can hear the heavily populated valley (trucks, buses, motorcycles, usws), especially in the tent. Then the braying of the donkeys, the barking of dogs and a cockerel that never knows what time it is and starts running just in case. But everything is still within reason, it's quiet for Italy. The reception was very friendly and ready to provide information. You can also get on well here with English. There is a restaurant, a bar and a mini market. I would choose this place again for Assisi in a heartbeat. There was only one night when we had a whole school group with 6 tents on the site, so sleep was a bit of a problem, but fortunately they moved on the next day. It was still nice here.

Proximity to Assisi Peace and quiet
Very quiet
Very good starting point for Assisi on foot 10 minutes. Wonderful quiet very nice bird concert in the morning.
