The proximity to Nevers. Bread roll service and friendly staff at the gate.

Depending on the pitch, the power supply. Showers very old. The cleaning of the pitches.
So transit place ok
We were on the pitch for 4 nights and had booked with 10 A electricity.

The pitch was in the upper area at entrance pitch number 4.
The size of the pitch was ok for 4 nights.
The power supply was with CEE and fresh water about 15 meters away.

Unfortunately, this is located directly at the entrance... and exit and you have a lot of traffic. This site is used as a transit site.

The pitches by the river were very busy. There are CEE connections but at least 2 other pitches were connected to each one. This was already plugged in from the pitch with an adapter.
In my opinion, every pitch by the river was double booked.

You have a nice view but were very close together.

The sanitary facilities are very old and it was difficult to clean them.

We did not use the WC.

Also the cleaning of the pitches from leaves was not in order.
On the first day a ride-on mower came and chopped up all the leaves and on the second day the leaf blower came and blew all the leaves into the hedge.
Firstly, it was a huge mess and a lot of noise. There are other ways of doing it.

You can drive to the site to see the city or use it as a place to stay overnight.

We won't be using this place again.

Great place in front of Nevers
Three of us stayed at the campsite for 7 days in a mobile home and were very satisfied. The mobile home was well equipped and there was nothing missing. We had a great view of the Loire and the old town. The site made a clean impression and the staff were very helpful and super friendly.

Good starting point for a tour of the city of Nevers
Beautiful transit area for a visit to the town of Nevers, directly on the Loire. The site is laid out in terraces. Sufficiently large pitches which are parceled out by hedges and trees in the upper area and by signs in the lower area. No shade in the lower area. The sanitary facilities are clean and... functional. The site has a supply and disposal station for motorhomes, but some motorhome owners dirty it. Probably because you'll be driving on the next morning anyway. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the town. The town is within walking distance.

Beautiful location
Convenient location, right on the bridge over the Loire with a view of the cathedral. The city center is also not far away on foot. I noticed few facilities at the campsite, but that didn't matter because of the proximity to the city. The deposit for one night in the rental accommodation is a bit bizarre:... EUR 250, even if only one person is staying for one night! I have never seen this anywhere else in France. Reception doesn't open until 9.00 am, so if you have to leave early, you have to make sure you do everything the night before (not possible with rental accommodation).

No shade on the tent meadow. Hand-washing basin right next to the urinal in the shared toilet room.
good stopover for canoeists
The campsite has 2 faces: the upper part is very shady and parceled out, while the lower part is free of trees and the pitches cannot be properly recognized. Access from the Loire is also shallow and you have to push the boat several times. The sanitary building appears to have been rebuilt. However,... it looks like an arched ceiling has been dispensed with. The toilet room is for everyone and there is a hand wash basin right next to the pissoir. This is no longer possible today. As is so often the case, you have to bring your own toilet paper. There is also a nice lounge with a bar, where snacks are also available. It's not far to the Altstatt, just cross the bridge...
