Positive
Spacious camping pitches located under trees.
Negativ
Irregular cleaning of sanitary facilities. Poorly maintained and dirty. No hot water or water pressure in the showers – the same in all sanitary facilities.
Problems with hygiene, organization, and attitude
We stayed here for 6 nights. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were dirty and poorly maintained throughout our stay, with irregular cleaning and no hot water or water pressure in any of the showers. Staff did not seem concerned about the issues. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Positive
Shady spots, very close to the sea.
Negativ
Sanitary facilities are getting on in years. WLAN only available at reception. The most beautiful pitches are occupied by permanent campers.
Unfortunately getting on in years.
Actually a fantastic site. Unfortunately, there are only a few places with electricity. Finding a shower with an intact shower head is not easy. Defects reported to reception were not rectified within 4 days. Too bad, the place offers so much potential.

Positive
Lots of space, hidden secluded pitches
Negativ
Too much Greek nonchalance
A very large space right by the sea
It actually has the potential to be a great site, but unfortunately it is getting on in years and has a large backlog of repairs. The many permanent campers don't exactly present a favorable picture either. The deserted part of the site resembles an enchanted parkland.

Positive
-lots of trees -lots of cycle paths for children
Negativ
-loud bar almost every day until midnight -not far from Asprovalta
Even in a tent is good
Suitable for a quiet holiday, semi-empty beaches. Beware of a pack of large strays whose territory is the stream that flows into the sea between the campsite and the town of Asprovalta.

Near Asprovalta
Negativ
Sanitary facilities and cleanliness
Asprovalta
Another campsite run by the municipality of Asprovaltas.
Disastrous sanitary and electrical facilities.
Mostly broken and always dirty.
On some pitches the electrical cables run openly across the pitch to the fuse box.
You can see that this is not an economically viable company but a communal site run... by salary earners.
Friendliness at zero.
Only recommended as a pitch in an emergency.
Too bad that such a place has such a beautiful sandy beach.
This will probably be the only chance for this site otherwise no one would come.

Location. Beach. Great trees with shade. Large pitches. Nice staff....Favorable prices... Near Asprovalta, Athos monasteries...
Negativ
As there is no private operator here, this huge site has been neglected for decades.
A little forgotten place. But has everything and much more ...............
I've known the course for almost 40 years. It is a state-owned course of enormous size. You could easily make 2 large pitches from it to put into private hands. Pitches are all large. Sufficient electricity connections and sanitary facilities available. Beautiful, huge sandy beach. Small supermarket... with all the essentials available (summer time) Friendly staff Reasonable price. Nearby is the beautiful little town of Asprovalta with good restaurants and infrastructure. Not far away are the Athos monasteries and the district town of Kavala. This site only needs new renovated sanitary and electricity facilities and is then in a condition that can easily compete with top European sites. Nevertheless, I always enjoy staying here.

Great camping
Perhaps the greenest campsite in Greece and the largest. It's a bit neglected, but the sanitary facilities have been renovated (mostly). The prices are very good. Very close to Bulgaria.

Positive
Lots of space, beautiful beach, clean sanitary facilities
Negativ
None!!!
There's still room for improvement
Asprovaltas used to be a huge campsite - 2/3 of it has now fallen into a (charming) slumber. However, the remaining infrastructure is in pretty good condition. In any case, this camp will never be "occupied"... Beautiful beach, great tree population, even campers will find plenty of quiet and shady space here! Unfortunately there is no signposting...
