"Easy place to visit the Paklenica NP - We arrived late in the afternoon at the end of September and were able to choose a pitch. There are no pitches. Everything by the water was already full. We found a pitch at the back - far enough away from the road. The view of the sea is beautiful and the site also has its own small beach with bathing facilities. There is no store or restaurant on the site itself. However, there are small supermarkets and a restaurant (which we didn't visit) in the immediate vicinity. The sanitary facilities are directly at the access road and therefore quite far to walk if you are at the back. As already described, the doors to the sanitary facilities were always open. In the ladies' shower, the clothes hook was on the outside of the shower, which could not be closed completely, so that you stood more or less naked in the open space, which pointed directly onto the main path of the campsite. So you shouldn't be too ashamed here ;-) The site is very close to the national park. We cycled there from the campsite and hiked in the park, which went really well. The site was well attended and there was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. We were right next to the fence to the neighboring pitch, which was also well occupied. However, we didn't hear any disturbing noise from there. We felt the price was too high in view of the poor facilities. For one or two nights, however, we can still recommend the site for a visit to the NP due to its good location.

"Only good for the national park - The site consists of just one "corridor" with pitches to the right and left. These are mostly shady and have a sea view, so they are quite nice. There is access to a pebble beach, which is fine. The sanitary facilities are very far away from the rear pitches and very basic, and only moderately clean. I found it strange that the double door to the sanitary facilities was always open, so that every visitor to the campsite could see how to get out of the shower - we were only there for one night and wouldn't have stayed any longer under these circumstances. I don't think the site is suitable for a longer beach vacation, there's not much you can do. There is a very large campsite right next to it, separated only by a fence, so it was also relatively noisy. The site has no infrastructure, but everything is within walking distance. The reception was very friendly and the price was okay (400 kuna for one night with 6 people, car, caravan). We arrived without a reservation on August 21, which was no problem. We were allowed to choose the pitch ourselves.

Profil

Next to the Park’s administrative building is the camp “Nacionalni park”, which is mostly used by Paklenica National Park enthusiasts (climbers, mountaineers, etc.), but is it also suitable for family holidays. The camp is situated by a natural gravelly beach, …and has a capacity for around 100 persons. The camp is open from 15 March to 15 November.

You can arrive from several directions by car. The quickest way to come from Zagreb (235 km) is to take the Zagreb - Split motorway. The exit from the motorway is at Maslenica junction, after which you should take the …road to Rijeka for another 15 km. If you are coming from direction Rijeka, use the Jadranska Magistrala – national road D8 (182 km) or the Rijeka (A6) – Maslenica (A1) motorway – 257 km. The quickest way to get here from direction Split is to take the Split – Dugopolje (A1) –Maslenica (A1) motorway -137 km.
