"Scotland round trip - A huge park area with large pitches and a view of the mountains. Blaire Atholl Castle is a 5-minute walk away.

"Beautifully situated park - It is actually a large "park" with extensive grounds. We were there for 4 days. Pitch and facilities okay overall, sanitary facilities inadequate and partly dirty. Dishwashing outdoors in a dirty corner with two sinks, also dirty there. We paid 30 pounds for two adults and two children, rather poor value for money. I wouldn't visit the campsite again because, as I said, the sanitary facilities were not properly clean. Oh yes, of course you now have to pay admission to the castle!

" - Good location, you can occasionally hear a bit of the highway that runs past in about 1 km, but completely bearable. Despite the huge site, it was very quiet in the evening. Pitches for tents are quite good and level - and thanks to the numbered pitches there is enough space around the tent (nobody can get too close to you). The sanitary facilities leave an ambivalent impression: each of the buildings (there are 5) looks slightly different. Shower blocks 1 and 5 were a little more modern and appeared better maintained. The "worst" was shower block 4, which was near our campsite. Technically it was in perfect order and cleaned twice a day - but not thoroughly enough for 5 stars. Sometimes there was more lint in the shower tray immediately after cleaning than before (obviously the mop was washed out there), sometimes toilet cleaner was also generously spread next to the toilet (on the previously cleaned floor), and the ladies' waste garbage cans were not emptied for more than 3 days despite obvious overfilling. Incomprehensible given the otherwise excellent facilities. Reaction at reception when these "little things" were reported was rather indifferent. Also incomprehensible - and also inexplicable in view of the basically so good facility. Possibly depending on the day - it might be better if the cleaning staff were different (or in a better mood).

" - Great campsite in an incredible landscape. It's common in the UK for toilets and washrooms not to be separate. Here, however, this is taken to the extreme: There are only washbasins in the toilet cubicles(!). Here, however, the washbasins are so small that it is almost impossible to do more than "wash your hands" (a shame).

" - Nice quiet site with large, gravelled pitches, 16 amp. electricity. Nice, clean sanit. Facilities. To the castle approx. 10 min. walk. Shopping in Pitchlory, approx. 5 min. by car.

Offering a host of options, from cosy pods, touring, camping, holiday homes and beautiful woodland lodges, there`s something for everyone. With nine acres of green open space at its heart, five star facilities and a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere it is easy to see why Blair Castle Caravan Park is a firm favourite with holidaymakers. Adjacent to the historic landscape of Blair Castle, and surrounded by the spectacular mountain scenery of Highland Perthshire the park is regularly visited by the native red squirrel and enjoys easy access to Atholl Estates 50 mile network of way-marked trails and cycle tracks. Blair Castle Caravan park welcomes tourers, motorhomes and campers. We can offer our guests hard-standing electric and fully served pitches of various lengths, including 18-metre super-sized pitches. Several discreet chemical disposal points and a motorhome waste disposal point are close by. The parks five toilet and shower blocks are all heated, with individual cubicles, showers, baby changing facilities and dishwashing areas. There is also a laundrette on-site. The Caravan Park is great for families, couples and your dog is even welcome too! There are 7 caravan holiday homes, 11 woodland lodges, 10 camping pods and 10 glamping pods available for hire as well as caravan holiday homes to buy. The Larder is the on-site shop, stocking a range of everyday essentials and specialises in organic and produce. The Shieling is the on site food cabin offering in peak season tasty breakfast rolls and freshly made pizzas in the evenings. On site activities include a children`s outdoor play area, segway tours and bike hire. There is also a large indoor games room with pool tables, table tennis, table football and giant connect 4. After a busy day of exploring you can book into The Atholl Beauty Room on site for a relaxing massage or treatment. Enjoy free entry into the gardens and grounds of Blair Castle with your stay and discounted entry into the castle itself.
