However, the grounds are quite run-down, and the buildings need regular maintenance
Very relaxing
The power supply was quite far away because many of the nearby electrical boxes were locked.
Some of the shower/restroom facilities were also out of order and locked.
Unfortunately, the campsites hadn't been mowed, and overall, the campground is really starting to show its age.

Very dirty and unkempt (bathhouse, laundry room) 1 bathhouse free showers 2nd bathhouse chargeable. Badhäuswr both very moldy unfortunately.
Very nice place though....
The bathhouse urgently needs to be renovated/refurbished and the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired.
One shower for free and one costs 0,50€ ?! The sense does not make sense to me. The lawn was not mowed. The meadow was very high which was not very pleasant. However, I think the place itself is very nice and I could imagine coming back again when the bathhouse is renovated, but not under the circumstances as they are at the moment.

I will definitely be back
Please hot water for showering. Unfortunately, not all showers had hot water. For me it was only lukewarm at the beginning and then cold. 🥺
Otherwise everything was great. Service in case of power loss was there immediately. Great.

This was my 3rd time at the campsite, and on both nights there was very loud music playing in the middle of the night for a long time (approx. 3/4 hour), which filled the whole campsite with sound!!!! What was going on ???
What was going on?
I will still be happy to come back! The advantages outweigh these nocturnal events 🫣

Only one disposal point for such a large site is simply not enough.
We were on a pitch in the west and had to go to the east sanitary building to empty the toilet. That's a distance of about one kilometer, including the way back.
That is simply too much

Good morning; I "unfortunately" only spent one night on the site. But I have to say that I felt very comfortable. Good location of the site, very good infrastructure. It even has its own restaurant. Unfortunately it was closed on Monday. I would particularly like to emphasize the sanitary cells. More... privacy is not possible. Super clean and very hygienic. There are sinks with really hot water for washing dishes and there are also cooking facilities for preparing hot meals. I thought it was super cool and worth emulating. Keep up the good work!

Good idea to combine the sanitary facilities in a gender-neutral way.
Not ideal: shower and WC in one room; this resulted in long queues because one WC was blocked for a long time by a shower user. Some additional permanent WC rooms would be great. The provisional DIXI toilets were not pleasant to use

I cycled the Leine-Heide cycle path. There was nothing in the immediate vicinity of the route, so I went here and didn't regret it. I stayed in a hut in the bikers' village, which was very comfortable for me. Yes, I also found the shower and wash house a bit far, even though it was in the middle of the site. However, there were nice and functional shower and toilet cubicles there, which were very clean and new. I also thought the cooking and washing-up facilities looked great. But I didn't need them. The absolute highlight was the great restaurant. Delicious food, great service - that's what I'll remember. We will definitely be back with the family and caravan 👍🏻

The site is in its natural state and has no pitches; a member of staff will take you to the site by bike. Sanitary block 1 has been renovated - container bathrooms are a matter of taste, but you have a single bathroom with all the trimmings - hobs and sinks are also ready. What is still missing is waste water and toilet emptying The bathing pond is also beautiful

Sanitary building 2 is a disaster, if I have seen it correctly, all showers are also closed. Will certainly be renovated soon. Gastronomy is currently still closed, but it is also being renovated and will probably reopen soon

Why only 2 points?

The place is actually nice. Absolutely quiet on the left-hand side, the road can be heard loudly on the right. There are two sanitary buildings. And that's the catch. Sanitary building 1 is under construction. (It doesn't go any further)
A number of individual cubicles are installed... there and can also be used. But you can neither wash dishes nor empty your chemical toilet. You have to go to sanitary building 2, which can be 400m one way.
The sanitary building 2 is very old, the facilities are partly so filthy that it is disgusting.
This is absolutely no longer up to date.

Some of the taps are out of order. There is also only a sink for gray water in sanitary building 2.

So the advertising: "Simply clean, everything there" is wrong. (See washbasin and chemical sink in sanitary building 2)

A restaurant is marked on the site plan, which does not currently exist.

Access to the Landesgartenschau is only possible along the main road. There is no direct access to the Kurpark.

The natural bathing pond with water lilies is very beautiful.
There are parking facilities for motorcyclists and cyclists.

Once the construction work has been completed, it will certainly be a very nice place that could easily be awarded 4 points.

The rating applies to caravans.

The condition of the sanitary buildings is getting on in years.... But cleaned every day, everything is clean. You can see that something is being renewed. I think it will be even better then. 1 building is already being modernized.
Weekend vacation with grandchildren
We felt very comfortable with our 3 grandchildren (4-10 years). We chose a place right next to the playground and swimming lake. Since everything was one-way, it was also quiet and the children could cycle all around.
We will definitely be back

Does not work at all
The sanitary facilities were an imposition. We are not used to this at Rainbow Camps. When toilets and washbasins are blocked and the sinks dry up, they naturally stink. I am shocked by the state of the sanitary facilities. They are in urgent need of repair and renovation!!!

a nice weekend
We really enjoyed our stay at the Schlaffass. The staff are very nice and helpful and the grounds are very spacious and beautiful. The sleeping barrel was great and also very clean. The only thing we didn't like was the sanitary facilities. They are in urgent need of renovation and unfortunately the cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

Very nice vacation resort with a small landscaped lake
The resort is extremely beautiful and well maintained. However, the wash house is more than in need of renovation. That's such a shame because it's a really beautiful spot. When we left, we were told that the renovation is planned for the fall of this year. We would love to take a look at it next year. Because we really liked it.
