The welcome was very friendly, and we were immediately provided with all the necessary information. In addition to the excellent restaurant, the perfectly organized bread roll service is also worth highlighting. We also thought it was a great... idea to join in and eat while the bread was being baked at the mill. The bathrooms and restrooms are high-quality and always kept clean. From here, you can set out immediately on short or long hikes. Alternatively, you can use the affordable bus line to Imst or the Timmelsjoch, which includes bike transport. Expensive campgrounds attract people with expensive or large cars and RVs. With my tent, I was surrounded by cars, and I couldn't really enjoy nature.Camping Among CarsEvery spot is marked out; you have to park your car right on your campsite because there’s no separate parking lot.
The campground is primarily designed for winter camping, with very luxurious restroom facilities. Ideal if you enjoy camping in a RV, van, or tent. For a nature campground, I miss being... surrounded by nature and camping in green spaces instead of among (large) cars. We understand your desire to keep cars and tents separate. At the same time, our campground is designed so that vehicles are parked directly next to the campsites.... For many of our guests—whether they’re staying in a tent, trailer, or RV—this is part of the comfort experience and is also important from an organizational standpoint.
Our goal is to preserve nature as much as possible. That’s why we focus on natural campsites, terraces, and plenty of greenery instead of large paved areas or central parking lots. We realize that people may have different ideas about what a nature campground should be like.

Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and always available. The restroom facilities are second to none. We’ve visited quite a few campgrounds, but these restrooms are truly top-notch. The campsites are spacious and consist of a mix of grass and gravel. The... access road to the campground is a bit dusty, but they’re using a sprinkler system to try to reduce the dust. And as long as other campers don’t speed through the campground at 20 km/h, it works pretty well. The on-site restaurant is great, serving fantastic, fresh, regional dishes. However, grabbing a meal on the spur of the moment can sometimes be a bit tricky, since the restaurant is also very popular with the locals. That really speaks volumes. You can go on wonderful hikes from the campground. The Sagenweg trail is truly beautiful, and there’s a reward waiting for you at the top of the mountain. ;-) The public transportation connections are excellent, and the buses run very on time. The 5-minute walk is nothing to speak of. The stream that runs between the campground and the road is a wonderful place to cool off your feet after a hike. With the Ötztal Summer Card, you can enjoy many activities at a fixed price. It has all the amenities you could want from a campground.
We were lucky enough to get a panoramic site with a beautiful view of the village of Huben and the surrounding peaks.
The very friendly and helpful staff, as well as the excellent cuisine at the on-site restaurant, are worth mentioning.
