A unique location surrounded by beautiful nature, right on the fjord! Very friendly and helpful hosts! The perfect vacation getaway!

A place to come home to and feel at ease
For us, it was the perfect vacation!
As soon as we arrived, we could tell that this place would be the perfect oasis of peace to unwind and relax. We’ve never had such a beautiful spot for our trailer and awning. We had a spot right by the fjord, so we could start the day with a view of the fjord first... thing in the morning. Then, in the evenings, being able to experience those gorgeous, dreamlike sunsets against the stunning fjord backdrop was one of the many highlights for us.
We went on absolutely stunning hikes, kayaking trips in our folding kayak, and bike rides. But our vacation also included cultural experiences and city tours, such as in Hobro and the very beautiful Aarhus!
All in all, this was the most relaxing vacation we’ve had in the last 15 years! It was very hard for us to leave.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredibly kind hosts, Anni and Kenneth! You’re wonderful and provide vacationers with a peaceful, relaxing, and friendly atmosphere!
We’ll definitely be back—

Anyone who appreciates clean restroom facilities will love this campground. Everything meets the latest standards, and there are family restrooms (toilet, shower, sink). No need to deal with annoying cards or coins.

Highly recommended
We stayed here for one night.
We didn’t go to the beach because it was simply too late and too windy.
The entrance seems to be at the far end of the campground, so it’s a few meters’ walk.
What’s important to us are the restroom facilities. And they were top-notch.
Everything was very well-maintained,... state-of-the-art, and there were family restrooms (toilet, shower, sink). So you’re undisturbed and have your privacy.
No need to deal with annoying cards or inserting coins.

A beautiful place
The campground was very clean. Everything was kept in great order. The showers and restrooms were always clean, and the water in the showers was always warm. Everything went smoothly at the front desk, and all the sites offer a beautiful view of the water.

Camping by the Fjord
We spent a week at a great campsite and were thrilled with the whole place. The view of the fjord was incredible. Overall, the campsite is in a beautiful location, the restrooms are top-notch, and the campsite operators are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this campsite.

A great time
A great spot right on the fjord. We were parked in the second row and got lucky one day—we had an unobstructed view of the fjord. The owners were super nice, and it’s an incredibly great place overall. Mariager itself comes highly recommended; there’s plenty to do here.

The campground is ideally located on the Mariager Fjord. Hiking, water sports, and day trips—it’s perfect for all of them. The campground itself is very beautiful, with spacious sites and a great view; everything is very well-maintained. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place
A beautiful place on the fjord, unfortunately the pitches are too close together, so that the neighbor can always look at your plate, unfortunately we did not like this, which is why we left early. The sanitary facilities and the pitch are in a very nice and clean condition. The place is small but nice.

Pure relaxation with a view of the fjord
It is one of the cleanest places I have ever traveled to. The sanitary facilities are very good in concept, there are nine family bathrooms and one handicapped. If you have a fjord pitch you have a fantastic view of a wonderful sunset. I would also like to mention the super friendly and helpful owners who speak very good German.

Priced in the upper mid-range
Top place, one of the best in Denmark
Location and cleanliness top. Unfortunately it has its price (EUR 35,--/night) but very recommendable. Close to the city, interesting museum train (Sundays). Was not our last visit there.

Great location, right down to the fjord and within walking distance to Mariager town, the salt center and marina. Good excursion options including Dania, Hobro, Hvidsten Kro and Randers Rainforest. The veteran railway has a terminus right by the campsite and runs through and along the campsite Very cozy... when the old steam locomotive chugs along. The site has a very friendly and welcoming host couple who will do everything to fulfill the guests' wishes. The campsite is divided into smaller sections, which gives a good atmosphere as there are not many permanent residents gathered in one place. The kitchen, showers and toilets are clean and tidy, and there is now an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and a covered terrace with dining area. We have used this space very often and have always been extremely satisfied with our stay.

Unfortunately, they did not have a baby bed available, which we had been promised. We contacted them several times, but there was nothing we could do. We had to place our 1-year-old daughter on the bottom bunk and put chairs in front. We chose to check out 2 days early (Saturday) when our daughter fell... out of bed. The hosts actually thought we were checking out on Saturday as well, so they had misunderstood. At checkout, it turned out that they actually HAD an extra cot that we could have borrowed... luckily we got a nice refund due to the misunderstanding. Our cabin was also located next to a sewage treatment plant, where we noticed an annoying "clinging" from a gate or the like, especially in the evening. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.
