With its location, more or less at the foot of the Tressenstein with a fantastic view of the Trisselwand, the small but beautiful CP is particularly suitable for nature-loving peace seekers as well as active... cyclists and hikers.
Lake Altaussee is just a few minutes' walk away. Bad Aussee is also within easy walking distance.
There are several hiking routes starting directly from the campsite, of varying duration and difficulty - there is something for practically all active hikers. Cycling tours are also possible, but you need to be aware that it is hilly and mountainous here - so not so suitable for flatland cyclists.
The campsite is very well laid out and offers pitches in all sizes. Of course, campers are particularly happy about the grass pitches. But even there is a power connection if you need it.
The sanitary facilities are very clean and modern, but when the site is full, it can be a bit tight (or the water rather cool), at least if everyone wants to go at the same time ;).
There is also a small freezer (intended for cold packs) and a washing machine. Right next to it is a sufficiently large washing-up area with four or five sinks.
The host family is extremely friendly, very helpful and always available to answer any questions.
What initially surprised me a little was the relatively strict site regulations, which also make it clear that the site really wants to appeal to those seeking peace and quiet. In my immediate experience, I never felt restricted.

The reception on site was extremely friendly, everything was explained, bike maps and information material were handed out, the operator couple is very hard-working and completely stress-free at work, they spread a really good mood. You can see that they enjoy... it themselves.
The pitches are generously sized and fairly level, with electricity connections within easy reach.
The sanitary area is always clean and well-maintained, but at "peak times" perhaps one or two more toilets and showers would be nice. (but that's complaining on a high level)
Pastry service works wonderfully, very large selection.
An (e)-bike is very useful to get down to the village for shopping or to the restaurant.
The place is pleasantly quiet (no dogs barking) and hardly any street noise.
Like us, most visitors came for mountain biking or hiking, the Salzkammergut offers everything your heart desires.

Pitches offer you a lot of space as well as the usual hook ups. Short walk up the road to a lake, staff were very welcoming and told us where everything... was as well as being patient with the fact we didn't speak German! Showers and toilets were spotless and very nice compared to some other places we stayed.
