The service provided by the manager was great! At the front of the registration area there are spacious facilities for showering. Further back on the site is a small toilet block (4 toilets) and 2 showers ... also small but perfectly adequate. Everything was perfectly... clean and tidy at 7.30 in the morning. We were very satisfied. I think it's a question of what you like! If you like luxury, this is not the place for you. If you like modesty and value cleanliness... this is the place for you! The campsite is very well maintained, the riverside pitch was large and beautifully laid out. There was also a small beach in the immediate vicinity of my pitch.
The staff at reception were very friendly and check-in went smoothly.
The old town of Lohr am Main is very easy to reach on foot within 10 minutes.

Lohr's old town is also definitely worth a visit. As we had the... bikes with us, we were able to leave the car parked for the whole stay. Permanent camper and tourist pitches are roughly balanced. Even from the back rows you have a view of the river. Pitches are generously sized and running water is close to the site. Small bathing bay with sandy beach, second bay with boat moorings.... 2 sanitary buildings, the larger one at the registration desk with chemical toilet disposal, washing machine, dryer and a large covered and enclosed waste station. The barrier at the entrance is closed during the lunch break and at night. Chilled drinks can be bought at the registration desk, and fresh bread rolls can be purchased very early in the morning at the petrol station directly opposite the site. A place that leaves no time for reading, because there is far too much to see and do. An excellent starting point for SUP tours, hikes, walks and bike tours in all directions.
