The campsite for trailers and RVs features a beautifully landscaped little swimming lake and the option to park your RV with a view of the lake! The small animal enclosure is also very nice!

A very nice campground. Highly recommended for families with children. There’s a lovely playground and a small, deep (!) swimming lake where the kids can splash around and swim to their hearts’ content. There’s also an animal enclosure where a pony, a donkey, goats, and chickens live together.  Particularly worth mentioning is the new building that houses the reception desk and restroom facilities. It turned out beautifully. The staff at the reception desk are very friendly and helpful. The Feldmarksee is within walking distance of the campground.

The small restroom facilities could be cleaner. And the chemical toilet disposal station was pretty hard to find.

The biggest advantage of this campground is, of course, the beautiful surroundings around Sassenberg. There’s an incredible amount to do in the immediate area, and the adjacent Feldmarksee, with its dining options, invites you to linger. The campground’s own swimming lake is also simply fantastic. We were particularly impressed by the new restroom facilities—modern, beautiful, and exceptionally well-maintained. You just feel completely at ease here and can really enjoy your time. ❤️

The restrooms are very clean—if only the guests would keep them that way. The staff always goes out of their way and is very friendly, no matter where you go. The restaurant serves delicious food. Spacious campsites by the lake

Dogs—even though they were banned at the lake sites. Every trip to the restroom turned into an ordeal. The restroom at site 70 doesn’t have a sink for chemical toilets, and there’s nothing in the restroom to dry your hands with. The kiosk has only a limited selection, and the opening hours aren’t guest-friendly.

Summer festival with noise until 1:30 a.m. Another weekend featured a triathlon, which meant you couldn't drive off the campground after 10 a.m. The staff isn't very helpful, but they do answer questions.

It's a very beautiful and well-maintained place, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are activities for children and a great playground. Of course, four-legged friends are also welcome—they've even set up a dog run for them.

The playground by the swimming lake doesn't live up to its name. In my opinion, it needs a lot of work.

Nothing

I absolutely cannot recommend this place. The first time we were here, everything was great. But the second time, there were nothing but problems—right from the moment we arrived. ​First, there were issues with the spot we’d booked. There was no information about it in the system, even though I had called the day before to check if everything was going according to plan. Once we got there, it turned out that the spot we’d discussed had already been reserved by someone else. After that, we were assigned a spot that was also already occupied. ​When we’d had enough of this unprofessional behavior, we decided to go somewhere else. When we asked for a refund, we were told we’d have to send an email. I immediately sent an email requesting a refund, but to this day I haven’t received any response, and I still haven’t gotten my money back. ​But the best was yet to come: Barely five minutes after we left, I received a call saying that the spot we’d originally discussed was now available after all and we could come. (Mind you: the very same spot that was supposedly occupied from the start.)

We received a very warm welcome. The campground was spotless—even though we were parked on the group field, everything was excellent. The restrooms were super clean and well-spaced throughout the campground. Dog owners will also enjoy their stay; they’ve thought of everything. The restaurant served delicious food, had great service, and the prices were totally reasonable. The bread roll service worked wonderfully. You can even rent refrigerators at the campground, and there are 24/7 vending machines at the entrance with snacks, drinks, and little extras for camping. For me, it’s 6 out of 5 stars. We were only there to test out our trailer, but now we’ll be spending weekends there more often.

You can only pay for the bread rolls in cash. Some long-term campsites leave something to be desired, but you can’t see them from the regular campsites unless you take a walk around the area. I wish the operators would be stricter about that. But that’s really just complaining on a very high level.
