Nice bar and great restaurant. The quality was excellent. The service was incredibly friendly!!!!!! A natural pool with very well-kept grounds - you don't want to leave. Sanitary facilities 5 stars plus!Negativanone for us. If you wanted to be critical: The store may not offer much, but it's enough for the basics. You are not allowed to put out awning mats BUT the pitch/lawn is perfectly maintained. So not necessary in good weather. For bad weather, there is a plastic cover on each pit, which is enough to get in and out dry and clean.Simply great!We initially only stayed on the camper van pitch below the campsite. Unfortunately, you are not allowed in the pool and you can only shower for a fee. WC ... well... So we went back to reception and booked an upgrade. Up to the campsite and it was well worth it. However, the floor of the toilet in the second, very small sanitary building built into the slope was never cleaned behind the door. I suspect that this is almost impossible due to the lack of freedom of movement (you almost have to climb into the toilet to open or close the door from the inside) of the cleaner.A great, quiet, small campsite with a gigantic viewWe really liked the campsite.
It is surrounded by apple and cherry orchards, is small (which we generally prefer), and from almost every pitch you have an incredibly great, almost 360° view of the mountains, especially the Ortler Alps, simply breathtakingly beautiful.
The surrounding area is great for... hiking and cycling (assuming you have a certain level of fitness, you are in the mountains after all 😉). For less fit people, like me, this is also possible on flat terrain along the Adige river. This is where the Vinschgau cycle path runs from the Reschen Pass to Meran.
The site is very quiet and you can hear the cowbells ringing softly from the slopes ❤️.
The restaurant on the site is highly recommended. Good quality food at a reasonable price.
We found the bread delivery service to our pitch 👍🏻 particularly pleasant.
The beautiful outdoor pool, which is heated to a very pleasant temperature, offers a welcome way to cool off in high summer temperatures. I had the pleasure twice during our vacation 🤗.
There are plenty of shopping opportunities (food) in the surrounding villages, so it's not a tragedy that the campsite's own store only has a very, very limited range.
The entire team at Gloria Vallis was always friendly and helpful.
We felt completely at ease.
