The campground is in a fantastic location; the view of the crystal-clear lake is a dream at any time of day.
The peace and quiet there is perfect for relaxation.
If you ever feel like getting... out and about, you can quickly reach Potsdam (30 minutes) or Berlin (60 minutes) by bus and train. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the gate.
The fact that you can buy tickets at the front desk also makes it very convenient.
But Werder—and especially Werder Island—are also worth visiting and are just a few minutes away by bike.
The grounds are very well-maintained; the paths and campsites are cleared of leaves and twigs every day.
The staff are very friendly and always willing to help with any questions.
The bread roll service via the Brötchen app works flawlessly.
At both restaurants on the campground, we always had delicious food and were served very nicely.
If you bring a boat (from a canoe to a motorboat), it’s wonderfully easy to launch it here.
The restrooms are top-notch!
The only drawback:
the showers (I’m talking about the women’s showers here) have to be activated with a push button. Then you get water for 4–5!!! seconds, and it doesn’t even always get hot. This definitely needs to be fixed, because it’s incredibly annoying and drastically reduces the feel-good factor.
I didn’t even feel like taking a shower anymore. That can’t be the point of this great campground. For a price of €72.50 a day, I expect significantly more comfort!
I hope we can expect an improvement by 2027.
We’ve already booked a spot there again for next year.
It’s a real shame that you’re not allowed to bring a dog to the island, especially since the campsites there are so spacious. There must be a reason for it, but I can’t quite figure it out off the top of my head.

However, given the operators’ recent investments, I can understand their pricing policy. Sites 86, 87, and 88 don’t have an assigned water supply. Between our departure and arrival,... I used a watering can to fetch the water we needed from the vacant sites. Despite the restaurant and beer garden, the location was acceptable in terms of noise level. Except for the “ding-dong” from the beer garden—I even found myself whistling along. 😂 For inflatable boat users, the close proximity to the boat ramp was convenient. The downside, however, was the frequent coming and going of other boat owners’ vessels. The proximity to both the small and large swimming beaches is also worth mentioning. The staff at the restaurant and the beer garden are very friendly and service-oriented. The biggest praise, however, goes to the young woman at the front desk, though all the other staff members were also very friendly and solution-oriented. Overall, the campground is very clean, and the staff with the little electric carts were very hardworking. - KWKristin W.srpen 2026Camping Vacation 🏕️A very well-maintained campground with beautiful campsites, some right on the water. Modern and, above all, clean restroom facilities—thumbs up for that. There’s something for everyone—the kids can run around and play to their hearts’ content, whether on the beach, at the playground, or anywhere on the... grounds. There’s plenty of opportunity to relax here; thanks to the spacious sites, we always found a spot for our lounge chairs and were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. The food at the two restaurants was very good, and the price was a steal—under 50 euros for four people including drinks. That’s more than great, and it was delicious, too.
