Profil
Der Campingplatz Systragil ist ein windgeschützter und wunderschöner Campingplatz für Zelte, Wohnwagen und Wohnmobile. Auf dem Campingplatz gibt es Strom, einen Spielplatz, Toiletten, Waschmaschine, heisses Wasser und Dusche. Kloakenentsorgung für Wohnmobile ist vorhanden. Ganz in der Nähe gibt es ein … Schwimmbad in Illugastaðir und bei Stórutjarnaskóli und im Fluss Fnjóská kann man angeln. Im nahegelegenen Wald Vaglaskógur ist ein kleines Geschäft und auch ein Golfplatz mit 9 Loch-Anlage ist nicht weit entfernt. Es gibt gekennzeichnete Wanderwege. Das Gebiet ist gut bewachsen und in ihm fliesst der Bach Systralækur. Der Campingplatz Systragil ist ideal gelegen für verschiedene Reisetouren im Norden des Landes. Sehenswertigkeiten wie z.B. Flateyjardalur, Fjörður, der Wasserfall Goðafoss und die Stadt Akureyri sind nicht weit entfernt. Bis zum See Myvatn sind es 60 km und zum Ort Húsavík 90 km. Der Campingplatz Systragil liegt westlich gelegen im Tal Fnjóská und direkt gegenüber des grössten Birkenwaldes des Landes mit dem Namen Vaglaskógur. Wenn man von Akureyri aus auf der Ringstrasse 1 über den Pass Víkurskarð nach Osten fährt, kommt man ins Tal Fnjóská, durch das der Fluss Fnjóská, ein sehr beliebter Fluss zum Angeln, fliesst. Von der Ringstrasse 1 biegt man ab auf die Strasse Nr.833 in Richtung Illugastaðir und nach etwa 5 km erreicht man den Zeltplatz Systragil.

Campsite Systragil systragil@simnet.is and our website www.systragil.is The camping ground is located at Hróarsstaðir farm in the valley of Fnjóskadalur in the county of Suður-Þingeyjarsýsla, North Iceland. The camping ground is on the west side of the valley, facing the … largest natural birch wood in Iceland, Vaglaskógur. Close by are Lundsvöllur a nine hole golf course (3 km) and swimming pools at Illugastaðir (10 km) and Stórutjarnaskóli (13 km).A small shop is at Illugastaðir. Marked walking paths can be found both in Vaglaskógur and next to the camping ground. The area is lush with greenery and mushrooms and berries can be found in the area. The Systragil campsite is a centrally located, family friendly place to stay at. Many of Iceland´s most interesting and beautiful places are within a short distance of Systragil. Akureyri is 15 km away, Mývatn 60 km and Húsavík 90 km away. The location is ideal to make short trips from and to return to a beautiful location and excellent facilities. The campsite has a playground, warm water and excellent WC, shower, facilities to prepare and cook food, washing machine, electricity and toilet waste. Continue on road no. 833 for about 2 km and you find Systragil campingplace.. From lake Mývatn take road no. 1 heading for Akureyri. After about 65 km (after passing waterfall Goðafoss) you need to turn left into road no. 833. Continue on road no. 833 for about 2 km and you find Systragil campingplace.
