The location is great. Close to the city, just a stone's throw from the Aare River, excellent amenities, and the staff is extremely friendly. I'd love to come back anytime.
Negativno
The "Pier 11" restaurant is very expensive. I don't think the price is worth it....
TCS Camping—very good
This isn't my first time here, and it certainly won't be my last. I feel very comfortable here, and everything is neat and clean.

Absolute topcamping - een pareltje aan de Aare!
Wat een fantastische plek! TCS Camping Solothurn is without doubt one of the most beautiful campsites we have ever visited.

On the outskirts of the camping start beautiful walking routes, ideal for both a short walk and a longer hike.

In short: a top campsite with character, comfort and charm. We will come back here again and recommend this place to everyone who loves nature, quality and a relaxing holiday.
A big 10/10!

Beautiful and clean sanitary facilities
Negativno
Restaurant with exorbitant prices
Clamping with disruptive factor
We had rented a safari tent with a beautiful forecourt with a lawn and a view of the harbor.
However, without our consent, two campers were placed next to our safari tent with children who, despite requests from us and the neighbor, behaved very loudly and could not stop playing football directly in... front of our camping accommodation.
Unfortunately, we were therefore unable to enjoy the spacious veranda that invited us to relax and unwind.
According to the site plan, campers are not allowed next to or in front of the safari tents.
We felt that for the proud price of the accommodation it is not justified to expect us or other tenants of this accommodation to do this.

Clean sanitary facilities / close to town.
Negativno
The tent meadow for small tents is far away from the sanitary facilities. We came by bike, the available tables are free, when it rains there is no shelter. The campsite is too expensive for a small tent for one night. The tent meadow for small tents is very loud at night with a lot of car noise.
very expensive
It is a pity that the capping has few advantages for cyclists who usually only camp for one night. From my point of view, a shelter and, for example, an eco toilet would be very helpful.

We were very happy with the campsite. It was very clean, the pitches beautiful and the sanitary facilities top. The receptionist was super friendly. You can get to the town very quickly by bike. We liked it very much and would book here again.

Sanitary facilities great. Pleasantly quiet and well-kept location. You can reach the town quickly. Bus stop right by the campsite.
Negativno
The management takes a lot of getting used to. The "guest" who made a very aggressive impression (never greeted you or was swearing) was, as I only realized on departure, actually the manager of this campsite. When it rains, the campsite becomes a lake - impossible. Very difficult to reach outside office hours.
positive and negative
Location very pleasant and well maintained. Nice guests. Management was rather negative and not very flexible. Changing pitches was, incomprehensibly, rather complicated. The administration, not only at this TCS, looks as if they are sitting in front of a computer for the first time. When it rains, half the area floats.

Location was great. Sanitary facilities: clean
Negativno
Sanitary facilities too small for the size of the site. Pitches only for good weather! All pitches far too deep, water cannot drain away. Allegedly, according to staff, TCS is very strict on payment and resevation. Amount waived for early departure. Not true, probably only in Solothurn! What a pity!
Rating
We left two nights before. Do not agree that the overpayment was not refunded, also that you have to pay the whole amount in advance is unusual. Also with TCS.

Vacation and no rest
We were looking forward to a few nice days of vacation, but our place in front of the beech hedge is well located but very noisy.
On the other side of the hedge is a public barbecue area where loud music is constantly playing and the party really gets going on Fridays and Saturdays.
I think it's a shame the campsite doesn't do anything about it!

But everything was very clean and the restaurant is to be recommended.

Advertising on the street, but nobody there/reached!!!
Arrived on Saturday evening at 4.30 p.m. Big signs on the road: Welcome. At the reception door a note with two cell phone numbers to call in case of spontaneous arrival or emergencies...called 3 times on both numbers, nobody reachable!!!! We think that's a shame for a 4-star campsite.

Even with the present situation (covid) we were very disappointed with the toilet facilities. One block! Perfectly clean but given the rise in camping and camper vans with no toilets we feel that you need to rethink your infrastructure.

Upgrade the facilities please. Camping is the new normal so please at least provide us with a couple more toilets.

Nice camping with compromises
The good things first: Friendly reception at the modern reception desk. Helpful staff. Large pitch with an incredible view of the Weissenstein. Nice restaurant with good food and great service. Top location on the Aare. But: Our pitch was more like a swamp, no grass at all. As a result, our shoes (and... the inside of the car) were paved over after a short time. The external sanitary facilities were not heated and therefore unpleasantly cool in the current temperatures. Showers - brrrrr....

Hello huldi59

First of all, we would like to thank you for your visit and for taking the time to give us this detailed and constructive feedback. We are of course also pleased to hear that you generally enjoyed your stay with us and that you were able to enjoy the location and the restaurant.

However,... we are also sorry that your pitch no longer had the best quality grass. Especially at the end of the high season and depending on the weather, this can unfortunately happen. We will definitely use the quieter days to get everything back to the way it should be.

We also apologize for the inconvenience with the sanitary facilities. We will gladly take up this point with us.

As the positive points outweigh the negative ones, we would be very happy to have a second chance, of course again in warmer temperatures.

Kind regards,
Team TCS Camping Solothurn
