Differences in the Amenities of Holli Homes
Beautiful vacation homes and a wonderful setting
We were a large group and had rented a total of 6 Holli vacation homes. We had a wonderful stay. We especially liked the brown Holli homes because they offer a bit more space and a dishwasher, which the white Holli homes don’t have.

The vacation homes were clean, well-maintained, and comfortably furnished.... We also particularly enjoyed the beautiful location. The proximity to the Bodden and the Baltic Sea is ideal, and the surrounding area is perfect for biking. There are many lovely paths and opportunities for bike tours, walks, excursions, and relaxation. We really enjoyed the nature and the peaceful surroundings.

We felt right at home from the start and were able to enjoy our vacation to the fullest. Overall, we were very satisfied and would love to come back!

A small note: According to the guest information booklet, the front desk is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, when we arrived, it was only staffed until 5:00 p.m. For a larger group, where some members arrive later, advance notice of the changed opening hours would have been helpful. Although we were able to organize the key handoff within our group, it was a bit of a hassle.

Nice place, but unfortunately overpriced!
Install more power boxes and bill them separately, since small RVs use much less electricity than large RVs!

Restrooms

They can't help the bad weather, but unfortunately, the restrooms aren't cleaned well enough when it's bad weather—to the point where the showers get clogged. There's also room for improvement in the shower stalls—maybe a shelf for shower gel. The beach bar comes highly recommended; the food is good. We’d still come back, though—the location is really great.

A beautiful, quiet spot
In my opinion, the rule that the visitor’s tax is calculated for 3 days when staying for 2 nights is not justified. I arrive around 6:00 p.m.
and leave the campground by 11:00 a.m. at the latest to begin my trip home. You charge for 2 nights—so why charge the tourist tax for 3 days?
I feel like this is a rip-off... :(
Best regards,
Matthias

Table tennis tables
I would like to pass on a small comment. Why is there no longer a single table tennis table on the campsite? I think that's a great pity. LG

Close to the Bodden, therefore a surfer magnet.

Overnight stay in the Hollyhaus in Regenbogen Born
Entering the campsite by car would be better with license plate recognition, as the reader is far too central and the high curb makes it very difficult to hit the rims. There should also be a complete rental with electricity and water at the Holly houses, which is the case at other campsites. And as it is actually used a lot for surfers, there should also be places near the water where you can store your sail and board.

Location on the Bodden

Unclear parceling - everyone stands as he wants, we don't pay attention to distances (fire protection) at all; you can only get to the power connection with a seminar groundskeeper and then you need 100m of cable, without this being pointed out when booking; completely unclear division of the areas; old GDR slab paths and old buildings rotting away.
Disappointed
Obviously a lot has happened in recent years if you read the comments from 2021/2022 - there were no more recent ones to be found here. There is at least a second modern and clean sanitary building, but the sanitary containers in the area of the surf school are an imposition and look as if they were... set up decades ago as a temporary solution and then forgotten. There is no lighting on and around the camping meadow, so always take a flashlight with you if you have to go out at night. Unfortunately, there is no parcelling out, so that everyone can stand as they please, without regard for other campers and distances, which should be quite important, especially for a campsite in the forest. However, no one really checks, but the groundsman comes to unlock the electricity box - which delays departure if you want to leave early. But there simply don't seem to be enough connections - no wonder if you don't know who is standing where.
There is now supposed to be Wi-Fi, but this cannot be guaranteed across the board and also costs extra (€4/day for 2 devices if I remember correctly), which in this day and age is cheeky and extortionate.
Oh yes, unknowingly I went to the bakery in the morning and just wanted a coffee, because I hadn't ordered bread rolls, but the completely chilled employee said he was about to finish work and therefore the machine was already off, but it was still 7 minutes until closing time, but apparently they don't need to be customer-friendly. I was hugely disappointed and don't give second chances in such cases because I think it's simply cheeky and impertinent to send the customer away so far ahead of time - very few people can afford that and it shows once again that Germany is still a service desert.
I hope they continue to invest, because the campsite is in a perfect location, but I won't be coming back the way it is now.

Rainbow Camp Born again after a few years
I welcome the redesign of the sanitary facilities. They would be cleaner for longer if guests were asked to change their shoes in the anteroom of the shower and washrooms. I have experienced this at other campsites in Europe and was impressed by the effect and effectiveness in keeping them clean.
The... opening hours and closing days of the sandwich store on the site caused me some confusion. First open in the morning and evening, then closed, then only open in the morning. Difficult to understand.

Camping Born
The free choice of pitches is what makes this campsite so charming. Unfortunately, however, the caravans and cars often take up a lot of space. Cars are often positioned in such a way that as much space as possible is created. Caravans, including cars, take up much more space than motorhomes anyway.... As a result, there is naturally much less space for guests.
This should also be taken into account when setting prices. Designated parking spaces could possibly be allocated.
The situation at the barriers at the entrance is unfortunately a disaster. On a campsite where the bicycle is the means of transportation of choice, it should be possible to build sensible paths past the barriers. Instead, however, a sign is erected with the words, "Cyclists dismount - risk of accident". In my view, this almost borders on gross negligence.

Pure nature
We were very satisfied. The campsite is not quite cheap but we appreciate the concept that everyone can choose their own pitch and there are no predefined pitches. This results in a very natural and colorful look, which corresponds to our attitude towards camping and reminds us of our favorite places... in France on the Atlantic. We also really appreciate the shade and the proximity to the Bodden.
What we miss: the children's entertainment was apparently not resumed after Corona (rising prices with a more limited offer. Unfortunately, Regenbogen is no exception these days). The barrier closing time and thus midday silence of car noise on the site between 12&15h.
Otherwise completely satisfied. The cleaning of the sanitary facilities was also much better this year than in previous years.
We will be back again and again!

Spontaneously booked and pleasantly surprised.
Someone was there for us right from the start, despite arriving very late at night.
The temporary pitch we had for sleeping had to be cleared, but we knew that and the nice groundsman helped us with everything.
Ok, the bread rolls are very expensive, you can get them at Edeka in Born for a lot less money.... You don't have to buy them.
There was plenty of space for the caravan and it was nice and shady in the heat.
Beautiful, new sanitary blocks, nice blue path lighting, nice reception.

All in all, we can say: we'll be back :-)

all the best and love, Ferienwohnung Schlossblick Alltenburg
