"Indescribably beautiful! - It's well known that you can inspire fish heads with mountains. So one of the destinations on our trip to Austria was Heiligenblut. Here you not only have mountains, but also an incredibly beautiful campsite that is small but really nice. At the foot of the Zopenitzen (2,486m), opposite the Schareck (2,606m), with a view of the Großglockner (3,798m), the pitches have very good grass and are level. It is also very informal and you will often bump into the owners, Sepp and Josef, who are always up for a chat. A place that has received awards for a reason and yet is not overpriced. There is also the Alm Casino on site, an excellent restaurant. We will be back, that's what we plan to do! Thank you for everything and best wishes from the Baltic coast!

"Familiar atmosphere paired with a wonderful view - Even the journey along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road enchanted us with its magnificent views. Once we arrived at the campsite, everything was very relaxed: "Take your time to look around and choose a nice spot. And if you want to be pampered, come and eat afterwards." And we did both. The place offered a great view of the church in Heiligenblut and the Glockner mountains. The food was a real treat. And the family running the place were always very interested and everyone was simply super friendly. Conclusion: A rather small place in a great location with nice people - highly recommended.

"Directly on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road - Nice place with nice people, you can choose your own pitch, beautiful grass. Located in the middle of nature and quiet. Unfortunately you can't shop in Heiligenblut after 18:00, so a small store would be nice. Otherwise a nice stay. We ate well in the restaurant and drank a really good Swiss stone pine schnapps.

Profil

Our non-seasonal campsite is located in the centre of the national park "Hohe Tauern". It offers quiet and recreation all the year round. The area is spacious with a terrific view of the mountain "Großglockner". It is absolutely quiet but …still near the centre. Groceries for breakfast at the campsite; nearest super-market 500m away; comfortable restaurant at the campsite; Guided hiking tours; cross-country ski run passes the campsite; ski-bus (free of charge) stops at the camping ground;

In Winter from Germany via Felbertauern via Felbertauern (from München), Lienz and Iselsberg, then to Winklern and direction Heiligenblut (the toll is about € 10,00). In Winter from Germany via Tauern Motorway (from Salzburg) via Tauern Motorway (from Salzburg) up to the hub Spittal/Millstättersee, Exit Lienz, Großglockner, in Möllbrücke to the right towards Heiligenblut
