"beautiful place directly on the fjord - For us the most beautiful campsite in Norway so far. Very friendly reception. Free choice of pitches. Pitches for motorhomes on asphalted areas in rows. Individual pitches for caravans and tents on grass. Hilly camping site, therefore some problems with WLAN. Modern and clean sanitary facilities. Showers 10 NOK for 5 minutes. Washing machines and dryers available, very expensive at 70 NOK each, very expensive. Good view of the fjord from all pitches. With a bit of luck you may even see dolphins or whales. Shopping facilities in Sognedal, approx. 50 minutes on foot.

"Almost perfect - We stayed at the site for one night with our caravan, two adults and three dogs. When we arrived around 3pm, the reception was closed. Opening hours 9-11am and 8-9pm. So we simply looked for a pitch and parked up, registering later. The fact proved true again: First come, first served. We were told that we should only park on the asphalt pitches as it had rained a lot and the grass was very soft. No problem, we were early and were able to stand right next to the water. From 4 p.m. onwards it became fuller, so that the best places were quickly taken. However, as the pitches are on terraces, even those further back have a good view of the fjord. The site is bigger than you might think at first glance. At the front by the reception are the tarmac pitches, primarily for motorhomes. A little further along the access road are a number of grass pitches. It almost looks like a golf course, as the pitches nestle into the terrain. Some of them are also terraced. There is also a boathouse. The pitches (even the asphalted ones) are not completely flat, but if necessary there are boards to put underneath them at reception that you can borrow. The wash cabins are always a combination of toilet and washbasin or toilet and shower, all unisex. Basically a good idea, but if there is a lot going on, separate toilets could make things a bit easier. Everything was super clean and modern. There is a nice playground for the little ones right at the entrance. You can take dogs for a walk on the access road. WLan is available with good strength on site (at least in the area where we stood). Sat reception is also possible. From the country road you can only hear a rustle, because it is much higher than the campsite. So only a potential disturbance for those who want absolute peace and quiet. But the site is close to the town. We can only recommend the site.

"Great location, cramped kitchen and not enough sanitary facilities on the tent side - There is now an extra pitch for the tents further back by the fjord with a nice lounge by the water. The extra pitch for the tents has much too small sanitary facilities and a much too small kitchen. We stayed at the campsite years ago, when we camped at the front near the reception and were able to use the huge kitchen there - the comfort at the back is much worse!

"Large square by the Sognefjord - The site is spread over several terraces directly on the Sognefjord below the road, which is barely audible. If you arrive early you will find great pitches, and there are paved bays for motorhomes. You can take short walks directly from the site. The site is well suited for excursions to the Breheim National Park with the Nigardsbre (part of the large Jostedalsbreen), where you can easily reach the glacier tongue on foot. The pretty stave church of Urnes is also nearby. When fully occupied, however, there can be waiting times in the sanitary building, as the toilet, shower and washbasin are all in one cabin. Shopping facilities are available in Sogndal.

"Nice place and good starting point for excursions - We spent 3 nights here with a caravan. The site is in an exceptionally beautiful location and if you arrive early, you also have the chance of a nice pitch with a view of the Sognefjord. The site is suitable for a variety of excursions, such as Kaupanger and the Naeroyfjord or the Borgund stave church. As well as tours in the direction of the Lustrafjord. The site makes a pleasant impression and the sanitary facilities are also ok, the staff are very friendly.
