"Very nice place on Lake Vänern - The campsite is located directly on Lake Vänern near Mariestad. The town is easily accessible on foot or by bike from the campsite. The friendly staff speak Swedish and mostly English, German less so. The grass pitches are sometimes uneven, and after a heavy rain shower we were not the only ones with large puddles in the awning. However, the water drained away relatively quickly in the permeable ground. The sanitary facilities seem adequate, but sanitary building 4, which we used, could be cleaned a little more thoroughly. We had the impression that it was often only vacuumed briefly, but the washbasins were always clean. Although the pitch was well occupied, it was never completely full, it was never noisy on the campsite. The path through the oak forest towards Mariestad was also good for walking our dog, either as far as the town or through the neighboring cornfields. We liked the Bäcken summer garden about 1 km away. Homemade cakes, waffles, coffee, ice cream etc. Nice seating in the garden, an original mini golf course, had charm. We stayed at this place for 8 days and felt very comfortable.

"Nice location by the lake - The location directly on the lake and the size of the pitches are the campsite's plus points. There is still room for improvement in the maintenance of the sanitary facilities. That could be better. At the end of September, the registration desk was only temporarily occupied. For a 4**** pitch - even if it was at the end of the season - that's not enough.

"Campsite directly on Lake Vänern - The campsite is right on the lake and you can also choose pitches directly on the lake, if available. There wasn't much going on at the campsite, which was due to the fact that it wasn't a vacation yet. It was therefore very pleasantly quiet. The site is wooded and the pitches are very large. You can park your car on your own pitch. There are cooking and washing-up facilities on the site, as well as a lounge with TV. A washing machine and dryer are also available. There is a small store at the reception where you can buy the necessary items and fresh bread rolls. The sanitary facilities are clean and in good order. No shower coins required. The nearest town with shopping facilities is about 2 km away and can be easily reached by bike or car. The staff are very friendly and speak English. A CP that you can gladly visit again.

"A place that we really liked - Unfortunately, we were only here for two nights and would have liked to stay longer. As it was already off-season, the site was much emptier. We had a beautiful pitch right on the lake and really enjoyed the two days. We can highly recommend this site.

"Disappointment... - We were only passing through here for 1 night. That was enough for us, because the site was completely overcrowded and the sanitary facilities were at their limits. Sometimes you had to queue for 10 minutes to go to the toilet and shower and it looked like that. We preferred to go to the toilet in our motorhome. The site itself is beautifully situated, but huge. The staff were friendly and squeezed us into a corner to spend the night. Electricity and water were included in the price of almost €40, as was supply and disposal.

"Disappointed - I thought the pool was included that there was dog bath wifi that does not work really uneven places some take in the undercarriage there are campsites cheaper where the pool is included for price 260 just day

Our guests travels from all over the world to spend their holidays here! With the good atmosphere …and comfort the camping is the perfect place to spend your family holiday. Lake Vänern offers you a refreshing swim and close by the camping you will also find Ekudden outdoor pool with heated water. Here you will stay close by the city of Mariestad. In connection to the camping site you will find a beach, an outdoor pool with heated water, a mini golf course and for the children there is a fun playground and a very popular kids club. With the high road E20 and the city of Mariestad close by there is also a lot of culture for you to explore. Go for a nice lunch, have a look around in the small and unique shops and the big brand shops, go for a boat ride along Göta kanal or go for a bicycle ride on the beautiful island Brommö. If you enjoy playing golf there is also Mariestad GK – one of Skaraborgs finest golf courses – only 3 kilometers away.
