"Chiemsee Stop - The registration was very quick due to the possibility of filling out the registration form online, and I can only praise the staff, the noise from the street was still bearable. The sanitary facilities are always clean but very cramped, and very dark in the men's rooms. The V/E station for motorhomes is right in front of the pizzeria. The exit is not easy, a busy cycle path is right in front of the barrier, and of course the road.

"Simply a wonderful stay once again - We simply love this campsite. Large pitch right on the water, super nice new wash house. It was always clean. Even with questions or concerns, everyone was always nice and accommodating. This was our third time at the campsite and it certainly won't be the last. Many thanks to Harry and his team.

"Beautiful, but expensive! - Beautifully situated campsite, right on the water. The location is really great. We were in the front row, less than 10 meters from the water. Fantastic view. New wash house on the main site, everything else is new and modern. Unfortunately, the chemical toilet emptying system is also new. There is no normal emptying system, as on any other campsite, but only a chemical toilet machine, which you have to pay for. Emptying 3 €, plus filling with toilet additive 1.50 € if you want to. Emptying in the normal toilet is expressly punished with a €30 fine and expulsion from the site. The price is quite high in my opinion. We probably had a front row pitch with electricity and water on site, but there was no waste water. We were traveling in the low season and paid €54 per day despite having an ACSI card, plus the toilet emptying fee.

"Fantastic location, but unfortunately very very loud! - We had a pitch on the Maxplatz. The sanitary facilities are in a container, not a luxury, but showers and toilets are available, but nowhere near as attractive as on the main site!

"Directly on the lake, but also directly on the road - We had booked one of the new Max pitches, which used to be on the Möwenplatz and now belong to Strandcamping Chiemsee as a result of the merger. ----The pitches are located directly on a busy road, so there is a lot of traffic noise from 6 or 7 am, all day long --- The pitches are spatially separated from the rest of the campsite, so to get to the reception you have to drive along the road or walk along the beach. So there is no restaurant, coffee or other entertainment on these pitches either. Bread roll service must be ordered by 8pm for the next day and handed in at reception. Very nice location of the pitches directly on the lake --- long narrow pitches were sufficient for us and our caravan ---- Sanitary building very outdated, a new one is planned for next year. The showers are very small and without a partition, i.e. everything gets wet and it is hardly possible to get into a new pair of pants dry. There is very little light in the washing cubicles, as there is only one lamp with little luminosity, and also very little light in the toilets in the evening (only lamps in the central corridor). There is no sink for washing clothes, but there is a washing machine and dryer (not free of charge). It also doesn't help that a new one is planned here, because it wasn't there this year. --- The path to the pitches is simply filled in with gravel, so not suitable for cycling either All in all: In addition to the expensive prices in the main season of 51.50 euros per pitch and day, there is also electricity 1 euro per KWh service charge 1.50 euros per person and day and the tourist tax We will definitely not be back, the negative things outweigh the positive things for us.

Profil

Chiemsee Beach Camping stretches for about 1,000 meters directly along the shore of Lake Chiemsee. The 140 holiday pitches are no more than 50 meters from the water, with 65 of them located right on the beach. From here, you …can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over the lake. The view across the water to the islands and the Alps is truly breathtaking. The pitches come in all sizes (50–130 sqm), are well-maintained, and accessible for vehicles of all sizes. Electricity and water are available near most pitches. The site is landscaped with small trees and bushes, offering spots ranging from sunny to shady. The renovated sanitary facilities are centrally located in the main building and equipped with underfloor heating. On the newer section of the site (expanded in 2021), you'll find maxi-comfort pitches with electricity, water, and sewage connections. A new, open, modern, and well-ventilated summer sanitary building is currently under construction and is expected to be completed for the 2024 season. There are plenty of toilets and showers, all included in the price, equipped with seat disinfectant and cleaned several times a day. Private wash cabins are available for both men and women. The new sanitary building will also include accessible facilities and rentable family bathrooms once completed. A separate dog beach is available. The Fun & Sports Area offers garden chess, bocce, a small outdoor fitness park, table tennis, lounge chairs, billiards, foosball, darts, air hockey, and more. On-site, you'll find a newly designed bar with café, the “La Terrazza” pizzeria offering handmade stone-oven pizzas, and a small mini-market. You can enjoy café and beer specialties, cocktails, pizza, tarte flambée, basic groceries, and toiletries. Fresh breakfast rolls are available by pre-order and can also be enjoyed on the terrace. In the evening, relax with cocktails in the stylish lounge area by the open fire. New from 2024: Four car charging stations, a small camping shop, and the new aperitif bar “Rialto” on the second half of the site. Occasional live music evenings round out the experience.

If you’re driving on the A8 motorway from Munich towards Salzburg, take exit No. 109 – Grabenstätt. Head towards Chieming and after about 6 km you’ll reach Unterhochstätt. After 500 meters, you’ll see the first campsite on the left-hand side.
