"Nice place for motorhomes - We are not traveling with a motorhome but with a caravan and found the site ok in terms of location, but somewhere between inhospitable and uncomfortable. The pitch is more or less completely gravelled and the motorhomes and a few caravans are close together (about 1.5-2m apart). Clearly too close for us, even the pitch by the fence to the road where we were standing wasn't much better (traffic and pedestrians right next to the car). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is no store, but there is a bar with a beautiful view of the Vltava and pub food. The washrooms were just ok, but not heated in March at under 10 degrees, which is problematic. There are no restaurants or stores in the immediate vicinity. Prague is a 10 minute walk to the streetcar or you can take the ferry across the Vltava (highly recommended, the ferry is included in the public transport ticket). Our verdict: OK for one or two nights, but definitely not a place to feel comfortable for a longer period of time.

"Not sure. - Not well secured, no staff on site at night. People loitering in front of the sanitary facilities. At night, an Austrian camper van in which a couple was sleeping was opened and money, cell phones and papers were stolen. When the people woke up, the thieves ran off. The police arrived, but site staff didn't show up until the next morning. We were told that incidents like this happen often, but that nothing could be done.

"Good location close to the city center - The square is located on one of the Vltava islands. The small ferry (5-10 min walk) takes you almost directly into town every 15 min. The toilet facilities are ok, but sometimes not sufficient at peak times... There is also an "emergency toilet" in the communal shower room. It was ok for us. For those who have inhibitions... oh well. Hot water is included in the price, electricity 90 czk per day. Freshly tapped beer is available on site at reasonable prices. Small snacks too. Obviously a family business. Simple but I would go there again.

"Sightseeing Prague - Very well located campsite in the south of Prague. Ideal for sightseeing and relaxing. You can be in the city center in 15 minutes by bike. There is also a streetcar and bus stop about 400m away. The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. However, if you have problems with communal showers (male/female are already separated), this is not the place for you. We liked the place very much.

Opis

Profil

PRAGUE CAMP is quietly and naturally situated on an island right by the Vltava River – just about 1 km from Prague’s historic city center. The combination of central location and peaceful riverside setting makes it an ideal base for exploring …the city. The campsite offers simple, well-maintained pitches for motorhomes and caravans – some with, some without shade. The plots can be a bit close together in places. Dogs are welcome in both high and low season, as long as they are kept on a leash. Guests are welcomed with a friendly reception and plenty of useful information about the site and Prague itself. For longer stays, a reservation is recommended. After a full renovation in 2020, the campsite now features modern, clean sanitary facilities with showers and toilets, as well as a laundry room. A well-equipped communal kitchen is also available. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the entire site. For a quick snack or a relaxed break, there’s a bistro with a summer terrace and a small snackbar offering simple meals and drinks.
