"Very nice CP directly at the Hopfensee - We stayed at the campsite for 7 nights in October 2025. We liked it very much.it is beautifully situated directly on the Hopfensee, which we would not consider a typical bathing lake in summer.unfortunately we hardly saw the mountains during the days due to permanently low-hanging clouds and zero wind.the plots are usually between 80 and 100 square meters in size. There is an asphalted area on the pitch where you have to position your camper van or Womo. The camper van should be positioned on this area so that any awning protrudes over the paved area. Some of the pitches are bordered by hedges. We really liked that. Otherwise, all pitches are equipped with electricity (16A), water and waste water as well as SAT connection. The campsite offers a lot for children (which is why it is very popular and quickly booked out during the vacations); from a really large games hall with a great range of activities, cinema, indoor swimming pool, soccer pitch etc.. There are also wellness facilities such as a sauna (for a fee), a small store and a restaurant, and because the campsite is laid out like a park, we really liked the ambience and flair of the place. The staff at the reception are very friendly and helpful, and there can be (parking) problems at the entrance to the campsite if you arrive early. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day, which was necessary as the toilets were very busy due to the size of the campsite. The showers were really great! In the morning there were often waiting times at the toilets as they were all occupied. Good W-Lan on the site and due to its location and proximity to Austria it offers very good excursion possibilities. We will definitely be back (if there are still places available during the vacation season)!

"Autumn vacation in the foggy Allgäu - We stayed at this beautiful campsite for a week. Short walk to the lake from our pitch 52. We didn't try the restaurant. The staff were all friendly. We can recommend the campsite. We made frequent use of the cycling and hiking trails.

"Beautiful place - We have been coming to this place for 3 weeks every year since 2013. It's like coming home now. Vacation from the 1st minute. super friendly and very courteous staff. Great physio department. All the facilities are very clean. You just have to feel at home here. We are already looking forward to our vacation in 2026.

"5star campsite Hopfensee! Absolutely recommendable! - 5 star campsite on the Hopfensee. We were completely thrilled! It was the first time we had visited this campsite for a week. Starting with the friendliness of the reception staff, we had always heard good-humored employees who were extremely friendly in dealing with their customers, not to forget the cleaning staff who were just as friendly and motivated, this could be seen in the sanitary facilities, at any time of day it was extremely clean, even at peak times. Sufficient sanitary facilities available. The indoor pool is very tastefully designed, swimming is very good in the morning and evening hours. The campsite also has a fitness room, sauna area and massage room. The impression was very inviting. The pitches are very well laid out, each pitch has a paved area for the awning. It kept dry even in heavy rain. We found the playhouse for the children excellent, first class! There is an area for very small kids, the area for older children has a soccer pitch, basketball, table tennis, billiards, air field hockey, trampolines, obstacle course and slide. There is also an outdoor soccer pitch and a tennis court. There is a restaurant on the campsite which is also highly recommended, and there are other options in front of the campsite on the Hopfensee lakeside promenade. The location of the campsite is very central, shopping facilities and a trip to the beautiful old town of Füssen can be reached in 10 minutes by car. The circular walk around the Hopfensee is also recommended. Our conclusion about the place: We are already looking forward to the next two stays next year, what is run here is absolutely worth 5 stars!!!

"Vacation at Lake Hopfensee with a dog - A wonderful campsite with everything you could wish for. We were here with the children and granddaughter as well as our dog and we all felt very comfortable. There is a dog shower and also dog paths to run around. Despite the bad weather, there are plenty of opportunities to relax here. Whether in the swimming pool or in the sauna and for the little ones and older ones in the playhouses. Top service, all-round, very friendly staff who are always ready to help with any questions. Top sanitary facilities that are constantly cleaned. The pitches are beautiful and spacious. The view is magnificent. Nice localities within walking distance, 1 restaurant directly on site and many shopping facilities 4 km away. We are all looking forward to next year at Camping Hopfensee.

Camping Hopfensee is a campsite in Füssen, Bavaria, on a lake/recreational lake. This terraced campsite with sloping terrain has pitches with parcelling, with shade, without shade and pitches with some shade. The Hopfensee campsite is located near a pebble beach. …It is possible to rent flats and bungalows/chalets. The campsite has a playground, an indoor playground and a sports field. The following rules apply to pets at the Hopfensee campsite: - Dog(s) allowed in low season (on a lead) - Dog(s) allowed in high season (on a lead) For sporty holidaymakers, the campsite offers guided hikes and various cycle routes. There is an entertainment programme and a fitness room. A sauna, steam bath and beauty centre are available for relaxation after a busy day. The campsite has a heated indoor swimming pool and a paddling pool. There is a lake/recreational lake in the immediate vicinity where you can swim. Windsurfing is permitted at the Hopfensee campsite. You don't always have to cook for yourself, as the campsite has a snack bar, a pizzeria and a restaurant (wide choice). You can also buy groceries and fresh bread at the campsite.
