We were warmly welcomed and felt very at home, even though we had four dogs with us.
The bread service was delicious, and the little restaurant was also great for a quick bite.
We’ll definitely be back if we’re in the area.

I have no idea where the 4-star rating comes from, though. The Camperclean is broken, as is the fresh water station. Someone else already complained about this back in the summer, but nobody seems to care. The drain for the chemical toilet is absolutely disgusting.... I was also in Croatia in May with an ACSI Card at a 4-star campground, but Knaus could learn a thing or two from that place. You can’t swim here either, because there’s stinky mud on the shore. The showers were okay. The items for sale are totally overpriced, so we didn’t buy anything there. Otherwise, as described in the text.A very neat, beautiful, clean, and friendly campA very nice, well-maintained campground. Our site was a tent with a car right next to it, which was very convenient. The restrooms are clean and are cleaned daily. You can also book a sauna. We had a short walk to the restrooms, which was very convenient. The sea is within walking distance and perfectly... fine for the Baltic Sea; the beach is rocky, and naturally, on some days there’s blue-green algae and a warning against swimming, but that’s completely normal and natural. The staff—both at the front desk and the groundskeepers—are very, very friendly and once even helped us jump-start our car after the battery died. From Knaus Camp, you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over a wide field; you can rent e-bikes for a half-hour walk to explore the north coast; and the location is generally great. You can only see the water if you make your way through the bushes. Beach?? There’s a staircase leading down, about 5 meters. It’s nothing to write home about, but if you want to do something there with a SUP... or something similar, you’ve hit the jackpot. The campground 50 meters before it is located lower down; depending on where you’re standing, it’s convenient for SUP. However, last-minute campers are placed under the trees, even though there’s still space in the first or second row. - MJMichael J.august 2026Campground 10 of 10A very well-maintained campground, the staff is very friendly and takes the time to assist every single guest; if you have any questions, they’ll answer them in detail. The site map is very well laid out—we’d booked a lakeside spot that was nice and spacious for our 9.5-meter-long RV; we had plenty of... room with no issues, and we were even able to park our SUV right there. We also brought our two dogs with us, which wasn’t a problem at all, and we were able to take them on long walks.
