But she didn’t seem to be going through the motions...She also immediately pointed out that we could borrow an extension cord for... the power, since ours—at 25 meters—was too short. All in all, it was very nice, and the restrooms were clean. Unfortunately, we’d been assigned the very last lakeside spot all the way in the back(that’s what happens when you book just two days in advance). Since I have trouble walking, I was annoyed at first, but the distances weren’t as long as I’d feared. WC, showers and washrooms were clean. Fresh bread rolls were also provided by a bakery cart.
There were also new barrels, although unfortunately they were a bit smaller than before. Very nice quiet campsite even if it was full.
With the Liesel (ferry 2€) or cab (8,50€ fixed... price) you could go directly to the Deutsche Eck or into the city.
All in all a good 4 out of 5 stars.
1 star deduction because of the mattress.
Tips for improvement:
1. powerful WLAN
(if you already offer it)
2. extend the water flow in the wash cubicle!
(Only runs for 10 seconds, how can you wash/brush your teeth)
3. privacy screen for men's WC
(When you walk past, you can see the men standing there. A simple strip of privacy film would help)
4. mattress barrel must be replaced in 1! ( Unfortunately we didn't get any rest this time. Slept very badly. There was a bit more space in the old cabins)
5. light switch by the bed, small storage e.g. for cell phone by the bed would be nice.
6. outside tables should be sanded and varnished. (It already looked so bad 2 years ago)
These are just tips on what we have noticed.
We hope you don't take offense, we don't want it to come across that way.

Even without bicycles, you can easily get to the old town and the Deutsches Eck by Liesel or on foot.
Pitches quite small. The rearmost pitches border on a public barbecue area - it can get noisy there.
Sanitary containers always clean, but 6 showers per gender for so many... pitches are far too few. There was often a queue.
The restaurant on site is highly recommended. Reasonable prices and delicious food.

- Michaela G.април 2026Great stay in a very beautiful cityIt is a very nice campsite. We received a very friendly welcome. Everything was explained to us very nicely at the registration desk. The pitch was clean and suitable for all motorhomes. There is a bread roll van. The Netto and pharmacy are within walking distance. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the city center.
