This time, we treated ourselves to a spot right on the riverbank—it doesn’t get any better than this.
Some of the restroom facilities (I only used the ones in the front) are a... bit dated; the showers smelled of stagnant water—presumably a seal is leaking somewhere, allowing water to seep into a cavity and sit there. Beautiful campsites with a view, clean restrooms, and a bread delivery service and supermarket right nearby.

There were six of us, and we stayed in wine barrels, which was a wonderful experience. In front of each barrel was a table and two chairs where we could have breakfast in the morning surrounded... by nature. You can pick up fresh rolls every morning from a bakery truck at the reception desk.

On the other hand, we had an excellent view of the Deutsches Eck and the fortress.
We didn’t visit the restaurant at the campground.
Next to the reception desk is a bakery truck. It’s open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
A small ferry for pedestrians is just a few minutes’ walk away. It runs until 6:00 p.m., crossing the Moselle to the Deutsches Eck.
At the Deutsches Eck, there are numerous dining options as well as boat docks.
A Netto supermarket is located very nearby.

Of course, the campground isn’t the cheapest, but you should be aware of that given its location. The restrooms were clean, and the campground had everything needed for a relaxing stay. We would have liked to extend our stay by a day, but unfortunately, the campground was already fully booked. Knaus offers discounted taxi rides. Great service.RecreationOur stay was very pleasant. We parked our VW bus right on the Rhine. It was just a short walk to the restroom facilities, and they were always kept clean. The campground is in a beautiful location, and we had an excellent view of the castle. There was a bakery set up at the reception area in the mornings,... so we could quickly grab our breakfast rolls. The staff at the campground, as well as at the bakery, were very friendly and approachable. The food wasn’t quite to our liking, but that’s a matter of taste. I would have liked it if there had been a place to dispose of trash at the restroom building and a separate lounge area where we could hang out and get to know other campers. We travel with just the bare essentials—a VW bus and a pavilion—and would appreciate such a space in case of bad weather. We agree with the negative reviews on Google (unfortunately, we had relied on the reviews from the camping app beforehand).
The site resembles a tent field, but for campers and RVs. There are only a few small spots... for tents. The individual sites are very small and close together. There’s no privacy provided by hedges or anything similar.
The location is ideal for exploring Koblenz, and the view of the Deutsches Eck is very beautiful. We had a spot in the front row. The downside here is that right in front of the campground is a footpath and bike trail that’s heavily used. With passersby and other campground guests walking by, it felt like we were constantly being watched. We had imagined it to be more idyllic.
The worst part was the restroom facilities—we’ve never seen anything so disgusting. The toilets weren’t cleaned properly, so there were still traces of waste visible the next day. The restroom area even smelled bad from the outside in some places. The showers hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time; red algae was visible in the grout and on the floor. As a result, the showers smelled completely musty the moment you stepped inside. All in all, the restrooms were just disgustingly filthy.

Nothing else was available. There was a terrible stench from the overflowing trash containers. The trash was sticking out at least a meter. It was especially unbearable at night. The smell seeped into the RV even though everything was closed up tight.

It was our last night before heading home and returning the rental camper. At the front desk, they immediately made it clear that they don’t issue refunds. They offered us one night’s stay, even though I’d just explained that we had to go home. They gave us a stamp card.
I’m definitely never going back—it was so dirty. Even the road leading to the campground was dirty.
