The campground is located right next to the beautiful town of Grein, directly on the Danube. We stayed in a pod. It’s plenty big enough for two people. There are two single beds, and the washhouse is just a few meters away from the pod. Breakfast, which can be pre-ordered, is very generous and costs €11.50. There is plenty of parking available at the campground. The washhouse has plenty of restrooms and showers, as well as two washing machines and a dryer. In front of the washhouse, there are areas for washing dishes and the like. Although the campground is close to the main road, it was very quiet. There was also a refrigerator in the washhouse. The cabin had one electrical outlet.

Unfortunately, the grout in the shower area was already very black with mold. The cabin could use a few more hooks. The mattresses didn’t have any mattress protectors. The trash collection area could be made more attractive and less exposed. The owners were nice, but unfortunately they only asked if we were comfortable and, upon checkout, if everything was okay. We were able to pay for the overnight stay with a card, but we had to pay for breakfast in cash on the other side of the same cabin, in the kiosk area that belongs to the kiosk owners. I found that a bit illogical. The breakfast portion was too large for one person. It would be better to serve less and charge less as well. Unfortunately, the only thing served with the coffee was coffee creamer. That’s not very modern. The view of the Danube and the passing ships was beautiful, and the kiosk area with its outdoor seating was very well-maintained and invited you to linger.
Overnight Stay at a Mountain Hut
A nice campground for two nights, but not any longer than that. Nice kiosk with a great view and friendly hosts. The cabin was clean, and the washhouse was okay but could use some renovation.

Located directly on the cycle path.

Located directly on the main road, the soccer pitch is only 50m away. During my visit there was a party going on at the soccer field, sleep was out of the question until 1:30am. The reception was anything but friendly. The sanitary facilities are really outdated and not exactly clean.
Goes like this
The reception was not exactly friendly. I was on my bike. A heavy rainstorm delayed me a bit, so I arrived shortly after the deadline. Although the operator was still present and reception was open, he deliberately/unconsciously kept me waiting for a long time. After I went in search of a member of staff,... the manager finally arrived and the first thing he said was that "reception" was already closed, no explanation, nothing.
After a quick check-in, I went to look for a pitch. As the campsite is right next to a main road, there was no peace and quiet for a long time. Unfortunately for me, there was a party going on at the adjacent soccer pitch. It wasn't until 1:30 a.m. that things calmed down.
