Top campsite! Super location, top facilities, excellent service
A wonderful campsite right on the Neckar with a great location. Very close to Heidelberg, but also quiet with a view of the Neckar and the surrounding mountains and forests. And don't forget, it's only a few minutes' walk to the small and charming town of Neckargemünd. A campsite couldn't be in a better... location. The site is very well run, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the sanitary facilities are top-notch and nothing else is left to be desired. Personal bathrooms, bread rolls on offer, a gastronomic offer and for those who can't resist, you can even rent a small office to work in. It was incredible for us to see how well this place has developed in recent years under new management. We will definitely be back.

Innovative and beautiful campsite
Great campsite, arrival, stay, departure - very well organized, reception technically and staffed very well equipped, very nice and competent reception. We stayed in one of the igloo huts (2 people) and used our own bathroom cabin - simply wonderful. Everything was spotlessly clean and the facilities... and concept were very innovative.
Very good location, right on the Neckar, Neckarsgemünd is a beautiful town with restaurants, bookshop, cafés and more, public transport 300m from the campsite, everything within easy reach, e.g. Heidelberg, hiking areas, cycle paths. Bread roll service, beer garden.
Igloos and fixed tents are an absolute highlight - a different way to camp. Tents recommended for families with children (4p), huts for 2 p. We slept really well and waking up with a view of the Neckar is simply beautiful.
Respect to the campsite owners and the crew - to create something so beautiful. We would love to come back.

Sanitary facilities only accessible via numerous stairs, pitches mostly rather small.
Unfortunately not as expected
We had reserved and paid for a seat in advance. Unfortunately, we were then allocated a less attractive seat for no apparent reason, although the one we had reserved was free. "That's just the way it is now", too bad, too bad. That's not how you should treat visitors.
Most of the pitches are rather small,... so with a 7.5 m vehicle and awning, you're right up against your neighbors. Driving into the pitch is also often tricky when the pitch is full.
It gets really difficult if you're not so good on your feet, as the sanitary facilities are only accessible via steps. The front ones have over 10 steps, the rear ones over 20.
What is also difficult to understand is that you are not allowed to lay out awning carpeting, as this would damage the grass. There was hardly any grass on the pitch, just bare earth. 90 cents per kW of electricity is also very expensive. Overall, the pitch is rather expensive and apart from the location, there is hardly anything special to justify the price.

+ the quiet and fantastic location on the Neckar + very friendly welcome from the operators + the sanitary facilities are not new but are in good condition + great care is taken to ensure that there is still plenty of green grass on the pitch even in the heat, which is probably why the outdoor carpet ban was not a problem for us + the proximity to Heidelberg (very good public transport connections) + Many opportunities for hiking on hot days, always under trees, ideal shade

- there were no disadvantages for us, but families with small children should be aware that the Neckar flows directly past without a fence boundary

Summary of our vacation here:
Not too big a campsite with very nice operators, pleasantly quiet, beautiful location and ideal starting point for hiking (also very nice by bike), excursions to Heidelberg by public transport, and just relaxing by the Neckar.
Although the Neckar did not invite us to swim,... we did discover two brave souls who dared to take a dip.
The sanitary facilities on site were not new, but very ok. All in all, it was a great experience for us and as a couple we can highly recommend the campsite.

Location of the place, very well maintained, many innovations and very nice friendly tenants.....Espresso for free & nice dialog on departure!!!! We've been there before, we'll definitely be back!

Very unfriendly operator.
Unbelievably unfriendly!
We had booked a riverside pitch and had just set everything up when the operator told us in a very unfriendly manner that no carpets were allowed in front of the caravan.
We pointed out to him that our carpet was permeable to light and air and therefore gentle on the grass. Unfortunately, the "lawn"... in front of the caravan was already completely broken anyway, so without the carpet we would have been sitting on dusty earth and would have gotten a lot of dirt in the caravan. It was also impossible to move the caravan because the pitch was very narrow and the large communal power connection was in the middle of our pitch. The owner then said that he couldn't allow us to do this and that he couldn't allow others to do so.
After we pointed out to the owner that this was more than inconvenient on this pitch, he gesticulated wildly and said that we could leave the carpet, drove off in a rage and shouted after us angrily: "Thank you, thank you, thank you!".
I have never experienced such unfriendly behavior.
We were incredibly disappointed and decided to leave again. The operator then charged us the full daily rate of €46 for staying on the pitch for 60 minutes.
Everyone should form their own opinion as to whether they want to camp on a site like this.

The location is very pleasant, the place appealing. Nice operators who have just started, we would certainly visit the place again after the training period and see what has become of it.

I would not rate the price/performance as favorable
Still leaves room for improvement
Places on the shore cost extra, which is actually OK, what is not nice was the fact that after a day trip we were busy collecting goose poop from our place for a good 30 minutes.
Really UNFORGETTABLE that the place was shitty,
I really should have taken a photo!
The problem is well known, at the power... distributor is already shovel and rake ready. Very unpleasant!!!
I think you could inform the customers.
The showers are clean, but really small and the amount of water should be a bit more.
Changing or undressing is to be done in the anteroom, nothing can be put down in the shower cubicle.
For 2 nights, 2 pers with electricity 91 euros just too much for what is offered.
Within walking distance is a good bakery, where bread service is available on site

there is still a lot that could be better, but the price must not be too low.

Wonderful location directly on the Neckar. Starting point for interesting activities, be it hiking, cycling or visiting the surrounding area such as Heidelberg, Mosbach, etc.. The new tenants and employees are very nice and helpful. Every guest is accompanied to their pitch by the staff. One of the two... social rooms is getting on in years but is clean and has everything you need. In the small kiosk there is a very good home-brewed beer that people like to drink. We had a pitch right on the water with a wonderful view of the Neckar.
