"A cozy, charming campground - The campground is nestled in a cozy spot in the woods; although it’s right next to the road, it’s also right on the river with beautiful swimming spots. Cell phone reception isn’t great, but there’s a Wi-Fi network available throughout the campground. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive. The adjacent pizzeria promises a cozy dinner experience. The restrooms are clean and modern. All in all, it was a wonderful stay for us.

"Great campsite - Too many loud, screaming, uneducated children who were allowed to do whatever they wanted. Playing soccer on the pitches of their fellow campers, riding bikes in the wash house and screaming as much as they could. Most of the young German parents showed no consideration at all. Peace and relaxation were out of place.

"Great place by a rocky stream - The campsite "U Rosumarinu" is located in a valley, directly on the road between the Bavella Pass and the town of Solenzara by the sea. The road is very busy during the day, so a site closer to the stream is recommended for those in need of peace and quiet. This beautiful stream, actually more of a small river, with its large, round rocks and numerous bathing pools (almost small lakes!) is the eye-catcher and the "main feature" of this very natural site. The pitches are partly parceled out, mostly shady and there is also space for somewhat larger vehicles. Some with direct, practically private access to the stream - TOP! ATTENTION: None of the pitches have an electricity connection. The sanitary facilities are quite new and look modern, but at second glance, apart from the cleanliness (no toilet seats/paper), there is only a minimum of privacy. The washbasins are only available at a kind of "mini-roundabout", dishes are washed right next to them and very "specific" noises come from the toilet just 2 meters away. It is better to visit the somewhat smaller sanitary block at the very beginning of the campsite. The reception is very friendly, speaks good English and also runs the restaurant/pizzeria right next door with a lovely terrace. You can also order bread rolls there for the next day. It's a really lovely place to chill out and relax, very close to nature. The campsite is visited almost exclusively by German tourists, including many young families. In another review of the campsite, I read: "A very nice campsite, but you have to be prepared to put up with lots of Munich hipsters wearing a surf poncho and carrying their children across the campsite to their fancy VW T7 bus with a toothbrush in their mouths. If you manage to do that, you've got some great days ahead of you..." There's no better way to describe the site :) With 26€ p.N (2 p./van) a fair price!

"A wonderful place and campsite - We have been coming to this campsite for years. Simple, but in the middle of nature. Close to the clear river. Ideal for swimming in the numerous clear pools. As there is no electricity for the campers, a clientele meets here who know how to keep themselves occupied without media entertainment.

"One of the most beautiful campsites in Corsica - A beautifully laid out campsite in a unique location directly on the Solenzara River. We were there at the end of June 2017 with a large caravan and got a nice pitch without any problems. However, the pitches for caravans are limited. Every pitch is beautiful because the campsite is laid out in terraces and you have a beautiful view of the river valley everywhere. Swimming in the pools of the river is unique, with a view of the beautiful peaks of the Bavella mountains. You feel like Winnetou is going to ride around the corner at any moment. There are even a few small sandy beaches for the little ones right next to the campsite. The brave can jump from different heights from the rocks into the pools. A great experience in a great landscape!!! There is a great climbing park right next to the campsite that is definitely worth a visit. The Bavella mountains are ideal for long hikes. The campsite itself is beautifully laid out but only has basic facilities. There is no electricity at the pitches. There is also no grocery store. Food can be kept cold in the fridges at the wash houses. The nearest shop is about 10 km away in Solenzara. Baguettes for breakfast are available to order every morning in the restaurant. The restaurant is ok, but not great, but with a wonderful view of the river from the terrace. In my family (2 adults/2 children) we have stated that this campsite is one of the most beautiful campsites in our more than 20 years of camping. However, if you are looking for an upmarket infrastructure and organized entertainment, this is not the place for you. P.s.: We cannot confirm the comments made here about the operator. We found the man to be correct and helpful - just not a chatterbox.
