Advertised in the travel guide as an inexpensive alternative to the campsite a little closer to the town of Gap, it was worth a try. We stayed for almost a week and can fully recommend the site - with a few deductions. The site was taken over by the current owners in spring 2016 and the drive to change... things for the better can be felt and seen everywhere. The reception area with restaurant and swimming pool is exemplary. During our last visit at the beginning of October 2019, many things had changed again. The campsite has a lower and an upper area. The lower area has more shade, the upper area has a better view. We stood in the upper area in 2016, as it was less busy, even in the shade. In October 2019, the upper area was closed due to construction work. The pitches are parceled out, although the pitch layout is not clearly visible everywhere. Despite being on a slope, all pitches are easily accessible, even with larger caravans or motorhomes. The sanitary building in the upper area was renovated in 2016 and was closed. As a replacement, a sanitary container was available, which could be a model for some sanitary facilities! Only the water for washing up was too cold, but you could make do with water from the shower. The neighboring N85 disturbs the peace and quiet quite a bit, especially the motorcycles are quite loud. In addition, there are no local amenities, so you always have to drive to the shops, which should only be fun for fit campers on a bike. The new owner couple are extremely hard-working, very friendly and helpful. Bread can be pre-ordered for breakfast. Please note: The electrical connections consist of normal French sockets, which have an earthing pin sticking out. Normal (German) Schuko plugs do not fit in there! Sockets for the three-pin blue CEE plugs were available in the lower area in 2019.
