We liked everything
Top place
We felt very much at home at this small, family-run campsite. Sebastian is an extremely friendly and empathetic host who takes great care of his guests and always asks if everything is OK. You can tell straight away that he really cares about the well-being of his customers.

Particularly noteworthy... are the very clean showers and toilet facilities, which are cleaned several times a day. If you are looking for a quiet, well-kept and warmly managed campsite, this is the place for you.

good, the sanitary facilities are a bit older but clean and everything worked, furthermore I found it a pity that this camping site and the gastro were approached
it was a wonderful time
Hereby I thank you very much, although I was only allowed to be with you a few times, I felt very comfortable, too bad that you are retiring, wish you all the best!

Camping the way we like it
We felt very comfortable. Ideal for visiting the beautiful Rhine region if you want to avoid the
busy and narrow places.
The site is quietly located on a road, but there is hardly any traffic, especially at night. The facilities are rather basic, but everything you need is available.
The restaurant offers... good food. You can reach the surrounding hiking trails (Rheinsteig) on foot from the campsite. The cycle path along the Rhine can be reached in a few minutes.

None. Not sunny all day in the fall as the site is situated between hills.
Passing through
We were given a very friendly welcome, even with two dogs. The owners also run a restaurant on site and the food was delicious. 😋
Highly recommended campsite!

Peace and quiet, the gurgling sound of the stream, home-style cooking, friendly and helpful hosts

Very outdated sanitary facilities
Pure idyll
We felt very comfortable on the CP with plenty of space for cars and WW. Beautiful natural surroundings with forest and vineyards. Great view of Rheinfels Castle. St. Goar is 800m away on foot. The price includes shower and satellite TV. Great CP to explore all the sights on the Middle Rhine. Very good value for money.

A very nice, quiet campsite. Sanitary facilities are not the most modern but sufficient and always clean. The owners are super nice. The food is very, very tasty. Thanks again to the cook. The owner makes the cake herself and it tastes very, very good. Thanks also for the cake. We take cake with us every time we go home. We are very happy to be there and we will be back. Great location, lots of nature, friendly operators, dog-friendly

The sanitary facilities are simple, but everything you need is there if you don't expect glamping
A pleasant place in an idyllic natural setting
The site in a side valley of the Rhine is very idyllic and quiet. Birdsong and the babbling brook greet you when you wake up in the morning. The host couple are extremely nice - as the first tent guest in mid-March, I was even given a hot tea to warm up in the morning. Otherwise, you can enjoy a tasty... and hearty meal in the restaurant in the evening. My dog Lucy was also given a very warm welcome. All in all, simply a great place, I would come back any time.

Sunny and quiet, yet good transport links, located by a stream, very green all around, very friendly operators

We have not noticed any
3 days in a camping van as a couple
The campsite is located approx. 1 km off the Rhine embankment road in a small valley behind Sankt Goar.

The owner couple are very committed and personally look after all their guests. We felt welcome and completely at ease right from the start.

The only reason we don't give the sanitary facilities... a "very good" is because part of the waste water pipe in the ladies' toilet was being repaired.

A big compliment to the owner couple, who keep the site, including the restaurant, in good condition all year round without any further support.

We would love to come back, stay healthy

It is a bit out of the way. A bicycle or simply walking would be helpful.

The price-performance ratio is right. You can confront the operators with any problem. We felt comfortable there. We would love to come again.

Olumlu yanları
Free fast WLAN connection, good home-style food at a reasonable price, good bread rolls, hiking directly from the site, friendly helpful operators, beautiful grass pitch, quiet and relaxing atmosphere
Olumsuz yanları
No direct shopping possibility
Small, quiet, fine campsite with gastronomy
We were one of the first to arrive after the 3rd lockdown. Friendly welcome, nice little quiet site with a gently babbling brook. Nicely maintained grass pitches. The sanitary buildings were still closed. But there was enough water outside. The campsite is not directly on the Rhine, but it is really... very quiet and easy to walk to the town and the Rhine (approx. 800 m) either along the road or a little way through the forest. No direct shopping facilities. But we had a delicious meal in the restaurant at a reasonable price. The bread rolls were delicious and cheap. There was no direct TV reception, but there is a possibility with a cable connection, which the operator also wanted to provide us with, but we didn't need it. The free WLAN connection is very good. Quick and fast thanks to new technology. You can hike through the forest directly from the campsite on excellent paths. We and our dog felt very comfortable and welcome.

Olumlu yanları
Peace & proximity to the Rhine good W-Lan
Olumsuz yanları
Sanitary building does not correspond to the spirit of the times no satellite reception
Quiet place
Small, quiet site despite the adjacent country road.
800m to the Rhine.
For motorhomes, however, a challenge in places in terms of evenness. Straight positioning of a motorhome often not possible or only possible with considerable effort.
For motorhomes over 7m, narrow pitch dimensions, difficult maneuvering.

Camping Friedenau offers everything you need as a camper at the base. Eenvoudig maar schoon, de rust van een kabbelend beekje en diverse vogelgeluiden, verschillende wandelingen en fiets-boottochtjes je vanaf de camping kunt doen.

Friendly, pleasant atmosphere with restaurant and breakfast
Olumsuz yanları
Tent pitch in the shade for a long time in the morning
Small, fine campsite with restaurant
I was there for 2 days in early summer 2020 with my tent and motorcycle. I was on the tent meadow, where tables and chairs were even provided for the campers. Not so great that the tent meadow only gets sun at the end of June from about 10:00 am.
You can easily walk (about 20 minutes) to St. Goar, but... you are still far enough away from the train, ship and car noise of the Middle Rhine Valley.
The site is small but was not fully occupied at the time with about 10 motorhomes and 2 tents. I found the one sanitary building sufficient. The sanitary facilities were older, but everything was clean and worked.
For me, the directly connected restaurant was very pleasant, where you can eat and drink well in the evening at reasonable prices and, in addition to bread service, you can even pre-order a proper breakfast.
The owner couple is very friendly, I felt very comfortable during my stay and will gladly visit the place again if another vacation on the beautiful Middle Rhine is planned.

Rest found on the Rhine, sleep well and enjoy a good meal
We were with a group of 10 caravans / campers were very kindly received the motto appointment is appointment perfect , the kitchen perfect, Wi-Fi super TV watching went fine no Astra 3 to receive but that is being worked on. And showering in an outdated building we take gladly for Lief, Fred and Regina are super spoilers.

Olumlu yanları
Quiet location
Olumsuz yanları
Poor infrastructure, less suitable for longer stays
Base for hikers and cyclists
Registration for camping guests is in the restaurant at the counter, with only7 occupied pitches in the main season we had free choice of pitch. In the old and simple sanitary building what you touched was reasonably clean, doors and walls could do with a thorough clean. My shower water drained very... badly, in my wife's shower the water of the showering cabin neighbor "flowed over", great. The home-style food was "well", we wouldn't have eaten here a second time. There is no other infrastructure, but young couples and some hikers will certainly appreciate the quiet location. We moved on early after one night.

quiet location - adjoining restaurant - WLAN
Olumsuz yanları
In quotation marks: "the birds chirp quite early in the morning" ;-)
Small, quiet campsite with gastronomy
I stayed here for one night on a cycle tour lasting several days. I received a very friendly welcome at the owner-managed site. There are two tent pitches of different sizes, some of which are furnished with a table and chairs. There are also plenty of spacious pitches for motorhomes and caravans. As... a bicycle traveler, I particularly appreciate the adjacent restaurant. The food is really good and relatively inexpensive (regional wines and home-style cooking). Breakfast, which you can put together yourself the evening before, is also available and also very reasonably priced. The site is close to the narrow Middle Rhine Valley and yet very quiet. Trains and cars do not disturb your sleep. The sanitary facilities are not quite new but are perfectly okay and clean. There is a modern WLAN network, which was free to use at the time of my stay.
