I simply didn't like everything!
Loveless campsite
This campsite is just lovelessly run. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, the toilets as well as the showers are dirty. In the toilet I found the remains of my predecessors in the showers themselves dirt everywhere. The drains were clogged with hair. Spiders dead or alive everywhere. The sanitary... facilities were not cleaned even after I asked. The worst thing was that there was no toilet paper or soap in the toilets. And we paid 77 euros for this from Friday to Sunday. Tourist tax was also charged, but there was no receipt for this. We were on a pitch with our friends and were still charged the full price. For me it was a rip-off.
The whole area was overgrown with weeds. Which I thought was a shame as this campsite had a lot of potential.
The place offers nothing. No gastronomy. Shopping facilities are in the neighboring village a few kilometers away. Depending on what you are traveling with, it is difficult if something is missing. In our case it was toilet paper. Which we got through the organization of the Bluna meeting.
The only positive thing was the Bluna meeting that took place there. If we had gone to the campsite just for a vacation, we would have gone again immediately.

Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to experience anything positive there.

.... but the employee at reception was so extremely unfriendly that we left the campsite again. The employee tore up the registration form in front of us and threw banknotes at me. She acted as if she was filling out the form for the first time and made us feel like a nuisance. It would have cost 50 euros plus the cost of the showers for two adults and two 15-year-olds for one night in two small tents (we were there by bike). An unbelievable price for bicycle travelers!

Olumlu yanları
The proximity to the water - the lower basin (Affolderner See) of the Edersee always has water (in contrast to the Edersee, which is drained to keep the Weser navigable)
Olumsuz yanları
A lot of noise at weekends and in the evenings cars and especially motorcycles on the Ederseerandstrasse.
Expensive
:-( The place is noisy (traffic)
:-( The showers cost a lot of money (10 cents per 10 seconds), the first one in the morning already uses 40 cents until the water starts to get warm. You splash all your clothes etc when showering, there is no splash guard.
There was once a can of coke on the sink shelf... for a few days, although according to the list it was cleaned every day.
The place is definitely too expensive for that.
:-( Catering, if you don't want to eat out every day, makeshift at a gas station nearby, or in the neighboring village in the supermarket 3 km away.
:-( You should not swim there because of the current from the power station.
:-) Nevertheless, this lake is beautiful.
.-) Wonderful nature, beautiful views from the tent.

Highly recommended 🤓👍
As already mentioned above, we are very satisfied with the Edertaler Hof campsite. We can recommend the place, the gastronomy and all offers.

Good sanitary facilities, friendliness of the owner
Olumsuz yanları
Incorrect price labeling; night-time rest not observed
Ok for less demanding campers
The owner of the campsite is very friendly and takes care of her guests. Unfortunately, there are some organizational difficulties at the start, which led to very long waiting times at the registration desk (waiting time 2 hours!).

The sanitary facilities are very clean and are accessed via an access... key. The key is charged at a flat rate of 10 euros; every time you enter, 2 cents are automatically deducted for use. The use of the showers is also via the key, as long as the water is running, it is debited (approx. 50 cents per normal shower time). Unfortunately, we were not informed about this when we registered.

Biggest drawback. The prices on the Internet are incorrect; the prices are now all significantly higher. This also led to a surprise when we were billed. In addition to the overnight fees per person, there is also a tent flat rate, an electricity flat rate, an environmental fee (!) and a Corona flat rate (!). All in all, a more expensive pleasure than expected.

Unfortunately, the night's rest was not observed at all due to loud youth groups. Unfortunately, the howling continued until 3 am.

The location of the campsite is good, although not on the actual Edersee. The barrage and the start of the Edersee are about 1 hour's walk away. Unfortunately there are no stores within walking distance - apart from the kiosk in the campsite.

Unfortunately, the campsite description on the website is not correct:

Hot water is not included
There is no campfire site
There is also no soccer pitch
There is also no beach volleyball court

There may still be room for some cosmetic repairs to the green areas.

All in all, the site is fine for less demanding campers - but at a fairly high price.

PLEASE update prices on the Internet!

Very nice owner, great price-performance ratio
Very nice place with a private atmosphere. We spontaneously stayed one night with the VW bus, were immediately given a very nice pitch without any red tape, were given a very nice welcome and farewell and felt very comfortable. At the moment everything is being renovated bit by bit, but without disturbing us. Superb!!!

The staff are helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, they can't compete with the conditions there.
Olumsuz yanları
Unclean, unkempt, no hot water, facilities very neglected. Unfriendly operator.
Unclean and no hot water
Desolate conditions since the change of operator in April. No hot water for weeks, not even in the rooms and apartments, unclean, very dirty sanitary facilities. They didn't clean the whole weekend and the toilets looked accordingly. Not recommended.

unkempt, sanitary facilities unacceptable, prices far too high.
Unfortunately not recommended
We were in Affoldern 2 weeks ago to have a look at the campsites. We were planning to rent a pitch in this region. Unfortunately, we found that the edertaler Hof did not meet our expectations at all. the site made a very unkempt impression. Apart from a few permanent campers, you could see well-kept... pitches. The sanitary facilities are an imposition. The overflowing garbage cans could not be overlooked either. In any case, we would not rent a pitch here. We also think the prices are very inflated.

friendly staff clean sanitary facilities well-kept site open and quiet atmosphere very good price-performance ratio
Olumsuz yanları
no supermarket in the immediate vicinity (car or half-hour walk required)
Beautifully maintained campsite
We received a very friendly welcome at reception and (although we arrived spontaneously) there was plenty of space so that we could choose a cozy spot. On request, we were given great tips for our activities. We are both 21 and were probably the youngest, but we felt very comfortable and welcome. The... sanitary facilities were great! The dam wall can be reached on foot in about 45 minutes, by car it takes less than 10 minutes. The only drawback is that the nearest supermarket is a similar distance away.

Short vacation
-Really friendly -Quiet all day -Pitch size flexible and big enough -Sanitary, well, should just be cleaned more often so that the bad smell disappears. -Dishwashing room urgently needs to be renovated.

Olumlu yanları
dog friendly
Olumsuz yanları
too dog-friendly, barking is allowed day and night at the Dalmatian meeting. The "midday rest", so I have to plan activities
too loud
For permanent campers who want to use their pitch on weekends, unfortunately much too loud due to the partying and bawling of the group guests until the early hours of the morning. This caused stress on arrival and departure. Stupid slogans on the walls of the sanitary facilities. Should rather clean... and refill more often, especially when groups populate the place. Sanitary facilities old and showers cramped. Some of the free permanent pitches are reminiscent of junkyards and unfortunately the new site owner does not introduce herself to the permanent campers, neither in writing nor in person. I will probably pitch my "tents" there.

Actually a nice place, unfortunately not very well maintained, sanitary facilities dingy, the "village cafe" on the square is missing, in the village itself no shopping or refreshment facilities, the price-performance ratio is excessive. Not a second time, despite the relatively good location to the Edersee (5 km).

This is a campsite to our taste! Clean, tidy, but not fussy. We, who arrived with 10 dogs and 5 tents, found exactly what we were looking for. We were NOT sent to bed like little children at 10pm. The dogs were able to move around freely (within reason). The people (other vacationers and staff) were... friendly and relaxed. OK, people in need of peace and quiet or the other extreme "Halli-galli types" are probably out of place here. But for normal people with the right leisure behavior, this place is the best thing that can happen! From now on, other places will have a hard time finding mercy before our eyes :)

The annual campers celebrate very loudly children screaming at midnight still on the square. The showers and toilets smelled very strongly of manure and the extraction system is loud.the bushes could use a shearing and the lawn too.we will not go to this place again rather a place further which is well maintained and cheaper.

Terribly noisy place! Not acceptable for families with small children and people with normal sleeping habits! Apparently people like to party here. Only Whitsun? A real shame, as the location is very nice and the site is right on the lake. Some of the sanitary facilities are new. Unfortunately, the ladies' showers are not. We will definitely NOT be back!

Stay: Whitsun 2010 The reception is very friendly, the pitches on the meadow are not parceled out. We were there with 2 motorhomes and 1 caravan and stayed in the U; lovely! The sanitary facilities are a bit older, but are cleaned regularly. Prices: 27,50 €/night are too much in my opinion; 18,-€ would... be reasonable. Hot water (shower/rinse) does not cost extra. Approx. 70% permanent campers, no food supply on site, approx. 10km away. Water sports, hiking and cycling tours are recommended. Edertaler Urwaldsteig has beautiful circular hiking trails.
