We were completely satisfied with our stay. We liked the accommodation. The two separate bathrooms were great. Checking in was quick and easy. The staff were very friendly. Handing in the key at the end of our stay via the letterbox at the exit was very practical. The activities for children in the park were varied and we also liked the swimming pools. The opening hours of the restaurant could have been a bit longer.

In the meantime, the park is hardly few pitches for motorhomes and permanent pitches for permanent campers. It's a shame that there are no longer any inventory lists of the chalets.
Whitsun on DePekelinge
All in all, it was once again a very good stay at dePekelinge. We will be back in the fall and definitely next year at Pentecost.

Great value for money! Great offer for children. Our chalet was in a very quiet part of the campsite and was super nice.

The large number of new buildings and their orientation create an absolute barracks feeling.

We have been coming to de Pekelinge on vacation for years and so far it has always been a great site with a good balance between caravan pitches and mobile homes.
But since Cupfun took over the site, the quality has dropped dramatically.
When we drove onto the site this year, we were really shocked....
There were loads of mobile homes crammed in close together. There's no other way to put it.
You can tell that Cupfun is only interested in maximizing profits.
Too bad, it was different under the previous operator.
If you love the barracks feeling and being close to your neighbors, this is the place for you, everyone else should look elsewhere.

This is probably the most difficult review I have ever been allowed to write on camping.info, I will briefly explain why:
We have always loved going to DePekelinge, we have now spent our summer vacation there a total of 3 times. It was always an Ardoer site with all the advantages of the chain, unfortunately... Capfun has taken over the site and there are clear differences.

The most obvious: all the beautiful pitches and fields that used to be there have been flattened and huts and mobile homes have been placed there, we were shocked!!! When you drive to the camper area, you feel like you're driving through a barracks.

Furthermore, the overall quality has also deteriorated, whether it's the pitches, the swimming pool or the restaurants. The latter are totally overpriced and the quality of the food is average. The swimming pools no longer have supervisors (!) and this means that it is dirty, noisy and confusing because everyone does what they want and nobody looks after the ar......ch children. Children used to stick their chewing gum on the slide and nobody cared. The staff are now mostly school assistants and you can tell. Everyone is very friendly but you get your beer cleared away even though it wasn't empty yet. The new outdoor pool was something we were really looking forward to. On a sunny day the water was heated which was great, but when we wanted to go in on a cloudy day it wasn't heated and that was that.

It's a shame, the children and we really loved this place! But unfortunately we will be moving on because it wasn't the same this summer as it used to be.

Anyone who hasn't been there yet is welcome to come and have a look, but it's no longer a place (it was even Bernd Stelter's favorite place) that you always come back to.

Arrival:
The registration went quickly despite many arrivals and you got all the important information.
Motorhome pitch:
The pitch was evenly paved and very spacious overall. In addition to fresh water and electricity, there was also a gray water inlet. There were fewer shady pitches.
Sanitary building:...
The showers and toilets were clean. In the middle of the building there are large basins for washing up. The water was always super hot.
Leisure activities:
There are plenty of very good activities for children. The facilities are very well maintained and are regularly checked.
Catering:
The supermarket has everything you need. However, we mostly used the cheaper and larger one in the village.
Swimming facilities:
The swimming pool is rather too small for the many people. It is not possible to swim properly. The volume is also extremely high, especially in the indoor pool.
Surrounding area:
The surrounding area is very easy to explore by bike. The wide sandy beach is a few kilometers away but highly recommended. If you want, you can park your car directly on the beach and enjoy the sea.
Conclusion:
We can recommend the campsite without reservation, with some minor but bearable drawbacks

Great stay at the Pekeling campsite
Pekeling was one of the best places on our trip! Very clean everything, top sanitary facilities, great offer for children, excellent excursion possibilities, top bikes for rent and great space for our camper with lots of privacy

Beautiful campsite for children
The campsite's location and facilities are very good. There is a swimming pool with a long slide and several playgrounds for children. You can book your pitch directly at the playground. Unfortunately, you can't see which playground equipment is at the respective playground when you book. The distance... to the beach is about 3km and easy to reach by bike. The supermarket is about 1km away in Ostkappelle. Only the pitches are not very suitable for campers, as the ground surface is coarse gravel. This is not good for tents or knees.

simply good and always beautiful
As we have a dog, only the low season or off-season is an option for us. But as we don't have to travel during the school vacations anyway and there are the best offers then, this site is ideal for us. During this time, a luxury comfort pitch with its own wet room on site is also affordable.

Distance to the beach
Familiar place with good facilities
Our children love the site, not least because of the new scooter track. We had a comfort pitch with private sanitary facilities and have now been there 3 times. The private sanitary facilities are good and heated. The pitches are quite large and the cars are close by. Unfortunately, the permanent campers... are a bit like lords of the manor and consider themselves the owners of the whole field. The swimming pool is great and the chip shop on site is also very good. The small supermarket is sufficient for small purchases, for larger purchases there are options in the village. The distance to the beach is long, but since we always plan Easter or fall vacations for the sea, that's not so bad. It would bother me in summer.

Very nice campsite
The pitches are very spacious and in plots enclosed by high hedges for (in our case) six campers. This gives the whole place a very relaxing and quiet atmosphere. The access roads to the pitches are also wide and easy to drive on. During the vacations there was entertainment, mainly for the children.... This was very good and varied. The swimming pool was large and the slide was also suitable for older children (leisure pool character). The water playground was also very nice, but unfortunately not usable due to the weather. The small store on site is only open sporadically out of season and the prices are quite steep. The reception staff were very friendly and courteous. In the off-season, the tennis courts are free of charge, but sometimes difficult to reserve because some people sign up several times for the entire vacation period. Perhaps a limit of one hour per court should also be set here out of season. Dogs are allowed outside the main season and are available in large numbers. However, the cleanliness is not affected by the "dog poo", the owners seem to dispose of the droppings in an exemplary manner! The walk to the beach is quite long, not a problem by bike, but certainly difficult to manage with small children. The price-performance ratio was excellent thanks to the low season package. We would love to come back.

It's a very nice, well-kept resort, friendly staff, very quiet. Unfortunately the weather wasn't super good, but nobody can do anything about that.

You have to go to the beach by bike or car, but this is not a problem.
Family camping at its best - clean, friendly and with lots of variety
We visited the campsite on Corpus Christi 2016 for the 2nd time with a group of 7 families (13 children). The overall great and lovingly maintained facility offered the right accommodation for everyone: 3 families: Camping 3 families: Lodges 1 family: Deltatent The huge indoor playground with seating... for adults and restaurant and snack bar offers a good entertainment program even in bad weather. In addition to the large swimming pool and fantastic 60m slide, you won't get bored even on 1 or 2 rainy days. On good days, you can go out to the spacious water playground area with plenty of seating. The little ones took advantage of the arts and crafts offered by the entertainment team almost every day and the older ones practiced their archery and similar skills. A bike is recommended for the 4km walk to the beach, but the resort as such makes up for everything! We will definitely be back next year

Very suitable for children
If you are looking for a place where children get their money's worth, you are certainly in good hands here. There are plenty of opportunities for fun and games. The site's own swimming pool, which can be used in both summer and winter, is certainly worth a special mention. There is a water playground... attached to the swimming pool, which offers lots of play opportunities. Our children visited the swimming pool at least twice a day. A restaurant and a snack bar catered for our physical well-being. The store had a sufficient range of products but could have had slightly longer opening hours in the low season. The site had its problems with drainage, so that the awning had to be covered with pallets to avoid standing in water. A single downpour was enough to muddy the pitches. But the pallets could be ordered from reception for little money and were delivered directly to the pitch promptly, so that this could be remedied. All in all, this is a site that is absolutely suitable for families and we will certainly visit again.

Three kilometers to the beach
again and again
We've been coming to De Pekeling again and again for 20 years. Initially with the motorhomes in rented accommodation, later with our own caravan. Whether with a small child or an older child and with the dogs, we have always felt very comfortable.

Great place for families with children
Were there in 2013 + 2014 with child and dog. Unfortunately the dog is not allowed on the site in July + August, therefore a little point deduction. Great infrastructure, well-kept place, overall very clean. Animation ends punctually at the end of the Dutch vacations. Absolutely suitable even in bad... weather due to the outdoor and indoor pool and indoor playground. The beach (with a great dog beach without a leash!) can be reached in about 15 minutes by bike. Ostkapelle can be reached either on foot or by bike in a few minutes. In my opinion it is too far to the beach on foot. Selection in the restaurant could be a bit bigger. Lots of rabbits on the grounds which is great fun for the children and torture for the dog.

. . . but for the price we had actually expected an all-inclusive entertainment program. So the hand was held out for almost every program. Pitches have water problem; it does not drain. Therefore, you can rent a set of pallets directly; again, additional expense. Restaurant is apparently overwhelmed with several people
